Come On LAH....

Outrageous, disgraceful, contemptible, shocking, disgusting, deplorable, unforgivable, unacceptable.

How could they do that?

Well if they are so efficient, why not arrest Khir Toyo for all the makan-duit activities.

Police raid DAP HQ, seize PC, DVDs

UPDATE 2
By Shannon Teoh

PETALING JAYA, May 23 — Police raided the DAP national headquarters for the first time ever this evening, carting away a computer and 19 digital video discs (DVDs).

The search and seizure, made without a warrant, was in relation to leaflets found when arrests were made during a candle-light vigil two nights ago in Pandan Indah, Kuala Lumpur, calling for fresh polls in Perak.

It is the latest in a series of crackdowns on Pakatan Rakyat (PR) attempts to gain public support on the Perak crisis which includes repeated arrests and banning of videos of the chaotic May 7 Perak assembly sitting where Speaker V. Sivakumar was dumped.

"First time in the 42-year history of DAP, police raiding our HQ," DAP veteran leader Lim Kit Siang posted in his Twitter account.

Three unmarked cars arrived at the headquarters and 11 plainclothes officers entered the building on the quiet Jalan 20/9 residential area in Petaling Jaya at 6.25pm.

They had brought Ooi Leng Hang, a party worker and one of the detainees from that night, who gave them the password to unlock the digital lock on the front door.

The handcuffed Ooi, who is DAP Socialist Youth political education chief, then led the police to his workstation, where police began to detail the items on his desk to be taken away.

They include his computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, earphones, external hard drives and DVDs including those related to the May 7 assembly and one labelled "Photos of Port Dickson Camp."

Treasurer Fong Kui Lun and vice-chairman Tan Kok Wai were the first DAP lawmakers to arrive at about 6.50pm followed by lawyers Gobind Singh Deo and Lim Lip Eng.

Gobind had asked the officer in charge if he had a warrant and what provision they were conducting the search under.

Ooi (second from right) looking at the list of seized items which he has to sign for, as (from left) Kamal, Gobind and Tan look on.

ASP Kamal Khan Mohd Sharif said he did not have a warrant and had to call his superior, a DSP Goh, before telling Gobind that the raid was done under Section 11 of the Printing Presses and Publications Act.

Gobind, DAP's legal affairs chief, allowed Ooi to sign a form detailing the list of items taken but later told reporters that the Act still requires a search warrant.

"He did not even know which provision. This shows that the police do not know what they are doing," the Puchong MP said, adding that he would lodge a report against the "trespass" and also write to the Selangor police chief on the matter.

National organising secretary Teresa Kok called the raid another "scare tactic" after several arrests made at vigils to quash dissent against what is perceived an undemocratic takeover of the Silver State.

"They arrested people just for wearing black and holding candles," the Selangor senior executive councillor said.

DAP Socialist Youth national secretary Loh Chee Heng condemned the raid, calling it "the latest despicable act by the police in their ongoing crackdown on the nation’s democracy."

"The police’s possible ludicrous move to charge Ooi, DAPSY deputy chairperson Jenice Lee and the other 14 DAPSY members and supporters under the 1984 Printing Presses and Publications Act is extremely regrettable," Loh said, demanding the immediate unconditional release of those who were arrested at Thursday night’s vigil.

The police left the DAP headquarters after about an hour.

Ali Unta Oh Ali Unta

I read from Zorro-Unmasked interesting piece which regards to our Ali Rustam @ Ali Ketam @ Ali Ketam, Ketua Menteri Melaka, senior Vice President of U-Must-Not-Object party BLOG that was slammed by readers. Our friend was commenting on the Selangor state government decision on pig farming. Unfortunately he terlupa or purposely lupa that it was Khir Toyo's government that initially approved of it. So thinking that he could score some points to capitalise the issue, he was back-fired left right and centre. The majority of the comments were really harsh and deadly. Tak boleh survive, I bet he asked his orang to delete all the comments. But with such high technology sekarang, Ketua Menteri kita tak boleh sembunyi, tak boleh lari. The most he can do is to be an Ostrich (UNTA).

Bodoh tetap bodoh. My comment senang aje, "Undurlah Pak Ali". Give the job to others who are MORE capable than yourself. Malacca need not have an Eye of Malacca. Malacca need not have the tower. Malacca need not have the Medical Hub. Malaccans want back our sea front in Klebang. Semua rakyat Melaka nak tahu macam mana hutang negeri kita setakat 2006 berjumlah RM1.05 billion. PLEASE EXPLAIN YOURSELF.

If you cant, PLEASE RESIGN AND GIVE THE JOB TO ANOTHER WHO CAN ADMINISTER THE STATE BETTER.

Some of the comments saya cut and paste are as follows:-

asalamualaikum Dato'

saya nak komen sikit.saya tak faham la dengan org kita sekarang ni.kenapa suka sgt hentam kaum sendiri?kita ni org melayu agama islam patut sokong la kaum kita sendiri.ini tak suka sgt nak menghina kaum seagama kita.dan Dato' sebagai pemimpin kena la tunjuk contoh yang baik kepada rakyat.

tentang isu babi di selangor ni.kenapa dulu semasa selangor di bawah pemerintahan kerajaan BN isu ni tak pernah selesai?malah bertambah buruk.tak ada tindakan tegas dari negeri Selangor utk selesaikan masalah ini.isu ni dah lama sgt wujud.kalau tak kerajaan BN yang lulus kan projek ni dulu saya rasa masalah ni takkan timbul.sekarang kerajaan nak hentam pulak pas sbb luluskan projek mega ni.padahal projek ni utk membela nasib org di Sepang drpd pencemaran alam dgn mengumpul najis slm satu tempat yang lebih sistematik.adakah tindakan ini dianggap sebagai satu pembaziran?

kenapa nak putar belitkan fakta yang betul dgn menyalahkan pihak Pas?padahal punca masalah daripada kerajaan BN sendiri.hentikan la daripada menipu rakyat.sedangkan di negeri melaka sendiri isu babi sampai sekarang tak pernah selesai.sepatutnya Dato' selesaikan dulu isu babi di kawasan dato' sebelum nak hentam org lain.

Assalamualaikum sahabat semua,

dato' jawab lah yea..

Ikut Suka Hati AG

Either it's "ikut suka hati" or "cin cai"... depending on how you interpret the judgement of the Attorney General (AG) when he withdrew the charges against the 31 Hindraf supporters for attempted murder. Why charge them in the first place?

After putting them in the lock up for more than 14 days, he suddenly had a change of heart to withdraw the charge against them. Though I welcome his sudden change of heart but still I call it MALICIOUS INTENTION by the AG in charging them initially. He should known better the difficulty in establishing the elements of attempted murder under the Penal Code. More so he has to prove beyond reasonable doubt. I bet you all first year law students would understand the difficulty in establishing the element of such crime.

So what can I say except a "cin cai" or tak apa attitude by the highest ranking legal officer of the government. Such a pathetic threats against Malaysians by those in powers. What an abuse of power...

Intimidation by Police and Government

The recent arrests of members of the NGOs and Opposition leaders are uncalled for and unreasonable act of the police and government. It is definitely an intimidating act by the powers that be. It is indeed an act of desperation by the government and the police. I don't understand what wrong did they commit?

Is it wrong to give memorandums? Is it so wrong to show our dissatisfaction against the government? Can Malaysians in general raise their voice against the government? Why can we? Isn't it not that Malaysia is a democratic country that subscribed to the spirit of democracy? Too many questions and unfortunately are not answered by the government

Malaysian style mafia

This is what happen to Edmund.....gangster, mafia-type. What is the rationale for all the bullying tactic of desperate intimidation and abuse of power.

The charge against Edmund should drop and action of abuse of powers should be directed against DBKL.

Again on Ali Gostan

Sometimes I don't understand the mentality of UMNO senior vice president, Ali Gostan. Revoking a citizenship of a person is not an answer. So as a call for the use of the infamous ISA (detention without trial) for the lawyers that marched on Sunday morning, and worst still for Edmund Bon who merely explaining to DBKL officers who could never understand an explanation.

The lawyers and Bon, did not any time breached any laws that warrant an expulsion/revocation of their citizenship or a detention without trial under the ISA. They are not and never a threat to national security. It was a walk of peace and an explanation. As such this is something I don't understand the arbitrary powers of the authorities. There were no force used by the lawyers and Bon. What they did was to celebrate human rights in conjunction with the International Human Rights Day on Monday.

As such, Ali Gostan statement in Bernama is deplorable, unacceptable and SHOCKING showing a lack of understanding on the constitution, laws, accountability, integrity and transparency, responsible government and simply...MALAYSIAN

It's confirmed MALAYSIA is a POLICE STATE

I'm utterly disgusted and embarrassed by the unilateral and arbitrary abuse of police power in arresting my friend, Mr Edmund Bon, Chairman of the Human Rights Committee of the Bar Council. He was arrested in a mafia-style Hollywood type by the police. I, together with all right minded Malaysian, am ashamed of this abuse of police powers. It was a total disregard of the constitutions, and any laws of this country. What Bon did was explaining to DBKL officers that the banners were in private property and subsequently a senior police personnel arrested him. This is definitely a coward act by the powers that be.

As a concerned citizen, right minded Malaysian and a fellow member of the Bar, I call upon the immediate release of E. Bon and all members that were arrested together.

I now call upon the resignation of the Inspector General of Police for his failure to uphold the constitution and protecting the innocence.

I further call the resignation of the the Internal Security Minister and the Home Affair Minister for their failure to uphold the constitution and carry out the duties of their high offices.

Enough is enough

Hindraf....AG prosecuting

I was in Shah Alam High Court on Thursday morning for a case (nope, me not involved in Hindraf's case). While waiting for my case to be called, I heard loud cries downstairs (btw I'm at the 7th floor) by members of the families of the NOW-detained 31 so-called Hindraf's supporters. YES, their bail application were all denied by the Session Court judge. Meaning they would have to wait until trial and that is fixed in January 08. How long more after that, I don't know.

That aside. I am more perplexed with the overzealous prosecution by the Attorney General himself. I know that Article 145(3) confers upon the AG the power to institute proceedings. But never have I expected that he himself would do the prosecution in the Session Courts. I am sure the judge sitting on the bench would be very uneasy that her boss is prosecuting.

I am more shocked to learn that all 31 men were charged under attempted murder and not for illegal assembly. I must cautioned the AG that though he is so over zealously behaving like a little Napoleon, the law of evidence clearly states that the burden of proof is on the prosecution to prove beyond reasonable doubt every element stated in the charge. For him to frame such a charge (attempted murder), I now doubt the AG's office motive and direction for prosecuting all 31 people on the same type of offence. Suddenly I was reminded by the notorious decision of Sim Kie Chon who was sentenced to die under the ISA even though there were no evidence to suggest that he was a threat to national security. Why can't he be charged under the Arms Act or under the Fire Arms (Increase Penalty) Act?

Just like Mahatir.....

Lu Percaya....

I find it hard to swallow, almost tercekik air when I read the below passage that our PM is open to criticism. Believe it? As I say I almost tercekik air.

Hmmmm and I also remember what he said in the UMNO general assembly baru-baru ini that he "PANTANG DICABAR". So what do we call that? Is that hypocrisy? If he is talking about the marches, whether the Bar or Bersih or Hindraf challenging him emotionally and without justification, then what is the real meaning of justification. Things are so clear in his face that needs much attention.

PM did mention many times that he is willing to listen, so I sincerely hope that he will listen to all parties including members of the Opposition grouses and the people angers. People take it to the street because enough is enough. As such it is my hope that the garmen will actually listen to the people.

By MAZWIN NIK ANIS
The Star

CAIRO: The Prime Minister is open to criticism but it must be reasonable and not made emotionally or without justification.

“I do accept reasonable criticism. It is not a problem for me. But one cannot criticise based on assumptions and wrong information. That is not fair,” he said when asked to comment on a survey done by a local research centre and a daily newspaper recently.

According to the survey, Abdullah’s leadership has boosted public confidence and trust in Barisan Nasional.

“I am humbled by this. I will continue to do the best that I can for the country and the people.

“For those who support me and want to join my struggle, I say thank you. For those who criticise me, I also say thank you,” he said.

Abdullah, speaking to the Malaysian media at the end of his two-day visit here yesterday, also dispelled speculation that he would not be going abroad in the coming months, so as to prepare for the general election.

He said he had been informed that there were three or four trips coming up but did not elaborate on them nor whether he would be going.

When pressed further if the trips would be made before the Chinese New Year, which falls on Feb 7 next year, the Prime Minister said:

“Obviously, I will have to be around for Chinese New Year to celebrate the festivities with the Chinese community.”

The Prime Minister, who celebrated his 68th birthday on Monday, said he had no birthday wish but for good health for him, his family and all Malaysians.

Demonstrasi Jalanan - Illegal...Siapa kata???

WALK FOR JUSTICE by BAR COUNCIL - ILLEGAL
BERSIH WALK - VERY ILLEGAL
HINDRAF WALK - VERY VERY ILLEGAL

BN WALK - VERY VERY VERY LEGAL

Inilah dikatakan double standard. And I thought demonstrasi jalanan is illegal. So whatever that is organise by BN would be legal and those organised by His Majesty's Loyal Opposition parties and NGOs are illegal. Maybe the leaders organised during the Miss Secretary of State for US visit should be brought to court for holding an illegal rally

If BERSIH and HINDRAF cause chaotic jam in massive KL, I believe the BN walk also did the same. SHAME SHAME SHAME.....

Whose money???????

If the below is true, then I would say WHAT A DAMN WASTE OF MONEY. Things like this must taroh the government. Why can't the state government just do something to help the poor rather than buying a plate number CCC 9. This is damn too much....

Pejabat MB menang bidaan CCC 9
KUANTAN 26 Nov.

What a ripped off....

A set of 4 screwdrivers cost RM224.94 instead of RM40.00 and a two tonne car jack cost RM5,741.00 instead of RM50.00. These are just the many unnecessary hiking up of prices only for the same old people supplying for ministries and government department. The richer gets richer and the poorer gets poorer. The Auditor General reports confirms and endorses the unhealthy practices of corruption in Malaysia.

I could not imagine that the government will pay so much for tools for students at the eight National Youth Skills Institutes (IKBN) around the country. Nothing short of not following the proper method of general accounting and economic, a sheer wastage and abuse of public funds. The people responsible will have to be charged in court for criminal breach of trust. Enough is enough.

Blame God....again?

Samy oh Samy, blaming God again? You must be so VERY desperate. So VERY desperate that you cannot find anybody except putting and pointing your stupid little finger on God. How could you? Why don't you just do the honourable thing and resign. So damn stupid. You are either making a mockery of yourself or MIC or the Malaysian Government or Malaysia as a whole. Listening what you say everyday makes not only me laugh but I believe everybody.

Serious note : After reading in the Sun today. Two things comes to mind. (1) A good and real contractor will make real good roof. Rain or shine the roof will not give in and will remain as it. (2) Nothing short of an irresponsible Minister. His exclamation in the Sun today was nothing but a cry baby. What he should have done as the Minister in charge of Public Works to make sure that this thing don't repeat. It is such an embarrassment for building such as the Parliament House suffers the agony of being mocked by the people. Leaks in Parliament House is not acceptable. Either the Minister goes or the contractor.

I simply don't understand why we allowing such stupid contractors doing real construction jobs for the government and the public. Should such contractors be screened before they are appointed to do the job. So blaming God for the shoddy work of contractors is so wrong. The Minister should blame himself for appointing such stupid contractor. The Minister should just quit his job and give his job to somebody more qualified than him. Why can't he just rest?

Any difference?

I saw this in Kit's blog and I put here to show you the difference between Malaysia and the rest of the world with my comment below

by Sara Wak

The Seef Flyover, Manama, Bahrain - RM100 million, The Kuching Flyover - More than RM 200 million - Why?

The differences are -

The Seef Flyover, Manama, Bahrain was built by WCT Engineering Bhd. from west Malaysia.

The Kuching Flyover was built by Global Upline Sdn Bhd.

You can see the difference in quality also. The Seef Flyover is of international standard, whereas the Kuching Flyover is on a much lower standard.

Why did it cost so much more to build the Kuching Flyover?

Abdullah Badawi has to explain. Our Dear Samy Vellu will also have to explain.

There is no other better day for him to explain other than his wedding day today!

The Seef Flyover, Manama, Bahrain - taken from www.wcte.com.my/WCTE/page.asp?catId=231

Project Sum : RM 100M

Again? Enough is enough? When are we learning to be good? I don't understand the need for corruption in high places. Millions of Ringgit is lost due to malpractices and maladministration of agencies in the government. Monies such as these can be put in greater use for healthcare, infrastructure and education of the interior of Sarawak. I'm sad to see that there are existence among us the hardcore poor in the rural of Sarawak and some parts of Malaysia. I'm hard pressed to even hear the blatant and open corruption of people in high places make. The difference of RM100 millions can do great things for all Malaysians regardless of race and religion. The time has come for a change to see a better Malaysia. Can we say enough is enough?

Again? This time an explosion

When will this stop? From ceiling collapsing to cracks in court room to 'banjir' in the canteenand now an explosion....looks like the gods are not too happy with the Courts. After spending so much tax payer's money, andd supposedly to be a pride of this country looks like it is becoming a laughing stock. Somebody has to be accountable. Somebody has to be responsible. Enough is enough. We are no fools.

KUALA LUMPUR (June 8, 2007): The newly occupied multi-million ringgit Jalan Duta court complex was rocked by an explosion in its basement on Tuesday (June 5).

The explosion is believed to have been caused by a Co2 (Carbon Dioxide) valve, connected to a gas tank, that gave way to pressure at 12.43am.

A Federal Territory Fire and Rescue Department Control Room confirmed a team was despatched to the scene after a "rocking blast" report was made.

He said Sentul firemen in an engine contained the situation after shutting down the main switch and valve in the basement where the tank was stored in the file room.

The spokesman said there were no casualties as the incident occurred past midnight and the Co2 was also not harmful.

The compressed Co2, he said was kept for emergencies, to put out fire affecting Information Technology equipment, including computers in the complex.

He said the building maintenance contractors were told to fix the burst valve and joint.

Court officials declined to comment about the incident and it is learnt that the staff had been told to keep hush about the matter, especially from journalists covering the court proceedings.

Public Works Department officials could not be reached for an explanation on the matter.

The court complex had been hit with a series of problems, since it began operations in May, with cracks appearing on the building structure, frequent breakdown of the air-conditioning system, partial flooding of the cafeteria due to a burst water pipe joint and also damage to court files after sewerage overflowed in basement.
