I Brake for Angels

Hi, Braker Fans. I have a new project to share with you as my DT assignment for I Brake for Stamps. This is a short post as I am really busy this week and need to tend to family and work matters. So please forgive me for not sharing as much information about this project as I usually do.

This is a tag that I created for a Christmas gift. It features a cute image called “Child Angel.” This digi was available a few weeks back as a Friday Freebie in the IBFS store and I snatched him up because he is so cute. Plus he is a great inspirational image for Christmas. I say “he” because he looks so much like a little boy with unruly hair.

I Brake for Holidays

Hi, Braker Fans. I have a new project to share with you as my DT assignment for I Brake for Stamps. The new Challenge is up over at I Brake for Challenges and this month we are celebrating Holidays. An easy challenge, right?

My card features a darling new release by Chelsea Le Designs. These stamps are just so cute. You have to go check them out at the store. You can get 10% off by using my coupon code that I’ve shared at the end of this post.

This stamp is called “Wrapping Gift Cammy.” I used some festive papers from Bo Bunny’s Mistletoe Collection and my cardstock is Bazzill. I colored my image with Copics and gave her ribbon a coat of Xmas Red Stickles.  I stamped the edge of her frame with a leaf border stamp from Hero Arts and added some tiny pearls with my red Liquid Pearls from Ranger. Then I adhered her to a Spellbinders scalloped frame.

The die cut holly leaf is from Marianne Designs and I added a few red rhinestones from Recollections as the holly. The Ornament border die cut is from Whimsy Stamps. I cut the Ornament border in 3 colors of cardstock for interest. My flowers are from WOC.

The inside of my card has repeating elements from the front and I stamped a “Merry Christmas” sentiment from Hero Arts.

I’m entering this card in the following challenges.

I Brake for Winter

Hi, Braker Fans. I have a new project to share with you as my DT assignment for I Brake for Stamps. For my card this week I decided to make another Christmas card only this time I'm using non-traditional colors. I’ve seen some awesome cards in blog land with pinks and blues and they just inspired me to create something extraordinary.
The stamp I used is a new release from the IBFS store called “Winter Avie” by Chelsea Le Designs. I colored my image with Copics and made a criss-cross card using Bazzill cardstock and MME Winter Wonderland designer papers.
I cut my image out and mounted it on white cardstock and a Spellbinders Oval die cut. Then I adhered pearls from Recollections to the frame. I machine stitched my panels with pink thread and added a lace border from JoAnn’s under my image.
I used a Magnolia folded tag die to create the pull out card panel and added vintage seam binding from WOC tied in a bow. I completed the card with a few flowers also from WOC and a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

I’m entering this card in the following challenges.

I Brake for Winter Mail

Hi, Braker Fans. I have a new card to share with you for my DT assignment for I Brake for Stamps. This week I decided to make a Christmas card. I used a cute stamp called “Winter Mailbox” from the Digital Downloads selection at I Brake for Stamps.
I colored my mailbox with Copics and added some stickles on the snow, holly berries and poinsettias of my image. I used Bazzill cardstock for the base of my card and mats of my designer papers which are from MME’s Winter Wonderland collection. I cut a few trees from the cardstock with my Marianne Designs dies and brushed them with Making Memories white acrylic paint.
The corner die cuts are from Whimsy Stamps and I ran them through my Xyron sticker maker then covered them with Martha Stewart Garnet Glitter. The poinsettias are from WOC and my ribbon is from Michaels topped with a pearl button from Garner’s. Then I finished the card with a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

I Brake for Reindeer Food

Hi, Braker Fans. I have a new project to share with you for my DT assignment for I Brake for Stamps. If you know me, you know that I love creating 3D paper crafts and since it’s getting close to Christmas I thought I would share a simple and cute Christmas favor you can make for those special people in your life.
I made a treat bag that has Reindeer food and it includes a traditional poem on the tag about how to attract Santa’s Reindeer to your home on that magical night. I used a sweet stamp from the IBFS store called “Rudolph.” Of course I didn’t color his nose red but he is still cute. I colored Rudolph with my Copics and I adhered him to my window treat box of Reindeer food.
Then I added a tag with my poem on the inside. The tag was cut from Bazzill and Stampin’ Up paper with my Cameo. I added a bow and a charm to finish it off.

My window bag is from SEI but you get make these from any craft store or you can make your own. Here is the recipe for Reindeer food and it is scrumptious.

Reindeer Food Recipe
Cover a cookie sheet with parchment or wax paper and set aside. In a large bowl mix the following:

2 1/4 cups Cheerios
3 1/4 cups Rice Chex
1 1/2 cups small pretzel twists
3/4 cup M&M’s
3/4 cup peanuts
1 - 12 oz. bag white chocolate chips

Stir gently with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula. In the microwave melt one bag of white chocolate chips according to package directions. Let cool slightly and then stir into the cereal mix a spoonful at a time mixing well. Once the entire mixture is covered, spread evenly onto your cookie sheet. Let stand for 30-60 minutes so chocolate can set. Break up with your hands and fill bags or other containers.

Cardstock – Bazzill

I Brake for Rubber Romance Divas

Hi, Braker Fans. I have a new card to share with you for my I Brake for Stamps DT project. I have moved to posting on Thursday instead of Tuesday. So I hope to see you here every week.
I Brake for Stamps has a new release of some really awesome stamps by Rubber Romance so I’ve used one of the Divas called “Robin the Dog Lover.” She is truly a Diva so I thought I would paper piece her gauchos and hat. Do you remember gauchos? If not, you are not as old as I am…LOL Basically, they are Capris with a flare at the bottom of the pant legs.
I’ve been into sewing and distressing lately so thought I would make a shabby chic card for Robin. My DPs are by MME the Indie Chic “Saffron” collection. These papers are so fun to craft with and have some cool patterns and colors. The collection also includes lots of cute buttons, trinkets and this darling sewn pennant so I had to add that. I made the lace ribbon with some tulle, seam binding and string pearls. It put the chic in my shabby card. Finally, I added some flowers and leaves and called it done.
I used a similar design for the inside of my card and it is ready for any sentiment.

I’m entering this card in the following challenges:

Make It Monday – Linky Party
Die Cuttin' Divas - Tic Tac Toe (Ribbon, Pearls, Shabby Chic)

I Brake for Halloween

Hi, Braker Fans. It’s Tuesday which means it’s time to show you my DT project for I Brake for Stamps. For my project this week I used a Halloween stamp from the store called “Halloween Scene.” This is just the right size stamp for a small treat bag filled with Halloween goodies.
I colored my image with Copics using some fall festive colors and attached it to a bag of candy corn and peanuts. Together they taste like a Salted Nut Roll candy bar. Yummy! These would make great party favors for the kids. I will be giving this one to my grandson, Ty.
I triple matted my image on Bazzill and The Paper Company cardstock using traditional Halloween colors. Then I attached it to the bag with Scor-Tape. It was as simple as that.

Hi, Braker Fans. It’s Tuesday which means it’s time to show you my DT project for I Brake for Stamps. For my card this week I used a cute digi stamp from the store called “Bear in Pumpkin.” Isn’t he cute?
My gorgeous Autumn DPs are from BoBunny and cardstock is Bazzill. I colored my image with Copics and used Walnut stain to distress around the frame while it was still in die cut. This leaves a nice white edge on the outside of the frame.
My sunflowers are Magnolia stamps and I put brown flock in the middle for some texture. Then I added a few festive ribbons fragments from my scrap stash and corner die cuts. The sentiment was printed from my PC on a Whimsy Stamps ticket stamp.

Supplies:

Cardstock – Bazzill
Designer Papers - BoBunny

I Brake for Cherry Blossoms and Bamboo

Hi, Braker Fans. It’s Tuesday which means it’s time to show you my DT project for I Brake for Stamps. I have some beautiful Asian Stamps from the store and they make great focal points or you can use them to create lovely background papers.
So that’s what I did with these this week. I used the “Mini Cherry Blossom” to create a background paper for my card. I randomly stamped it with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. For my focal point I used “Large Bamboo Stalks” with Peeled Paint and sprayed the stamp with Gold Glimmer Mist before stamping to give it some shimmer. Then I ditressed the edges of my Bamboo stamp with Scattered Straw.
Here’s is a close up so that you can see the glimmer effect. I typed a “Thank You” sentiment on my PC and added a little sheer yellow ribbon with a flower to finish the card.

Supplies:
Cardstock – The Paper Company
Distress Ink – Ranger
Ribbon – The Ribbon Spot
Flower – WOC
Other – Glimmer Mist

I Brake for Baby Buggies

Hi, Braker Fans. It’s Tuesday which means it’s time to show you my DT project for I Brake for Stamps. As many of you know I love the craft of paper engineering. So I created a shaped card for a baby girl in the shape of a dress. I saw a cute baby dress on the web and knew I had to create something like it. So here it is…
I hand drew one half of the dress and cut it on a fold to create a uniform shape and that became my template. Then I used the template for the front of the dress as well as creating my card with it. I added the lace, pearls and flowers for lots of texure.
I used a cute baby buggy stamp from the IBFS store called “Baby Buggy” for the inside of my card. It’s available in rubber or digi stamp form.

Supplies:
Stamps - I Brake for Stamps; Hero Arts
Cardstock – Bazzill
Pearls/Gems – Hero Arts; Stamp Simply
Punches/Dies – Marvy Uchida Flower
Lace – Martha Stewart
Thread - DMC

I Brake for Cowboy Boots

Hi, Braker Fans. Sorry I missed posting last week but it was a hectic one and I was on vacation too. Now I need a vacation after my vacation…LOL My DT card this week is all about my lifestyle lately. My DH and I adopted 2 Mustangs from the BLM a couple weeks ago and they were delivered last Thursday. I had so much shopping to do to get ready for them. We had to get tack, hay, a new gate for the corral, bedding, etc. I was so tired every night. Sorry to say though I hardly got a chance to sit in my craft studio all week which was part of my plan.

Anyhoo…on to my card. I used this sweet stamp called “Cowboy Boots” from the IBFS store and since I’m a country lover it’s a perfect stamp for me. I love my boots and hats and they are not always for looks, they are for working. They truly have a purpose if you live in the country.
I saw an adorable red cowboy hat at Murdoch’s in the children’s section and I thought it was the sweetest thing. So it inspired me to color my hat red. And I added a little Light Blue Viva Décor to the feather icon to make it look like a Turquoise stone.
I used Bazzill cardstock for my base and mating. My DPs are from My Mind’s Eye, Sunshine collection. I distressed around my image and DP panels with Walnut Stain and jute twine was wrapped around the card several times and tied in a bow. I finished it with a few Prima flowers and pearls.
These are the Copics I used to color my image.

Supplies:
Cardstock – Bazzill
Designer Papers – My Mind’s Eye
Distress Ink – Ranger
Pearls/Gems – Recollections; Viva Décor
Flowers – Prima

I'm entering this card in the Make It Monday - Linky Party challenge.
