The East Wind - Rip 'em

Hi all!!

It is official, the first half year of 2016 is over! July 1st, not just the start of a new half year, or a new month, but also the start of a new challenge at The East Wind!
Our theme for this challenge is Rip 'em, so we want to see torn edges and papers.

Here's my DT inspiration!

The papers I used for this card are from a kraft paper pad from Action, a Dutch budget store. I thought they are just perfect for this card. I inked all the edges with Distress Ink Walnut Stain.

The image I used is this month's newsletter Freebie, called Teen Lucy Ukupunk. I used the following Copic Markers to color her.
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E13
Hair: E71, E74, E77, E79
Outfit: R24, R46, R89, W00, W0, W2, W5

To finish off my card I added a doily and several Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.

This was it for today, I hope you like it! Please pop over to The East Wind and join us!

The East Wind Challenge - Mail Art

Hi all!!

Today is May first, so a new challenge has started at The East Wind! Our theme for this challenge is Mail Art, so we want to see decorated envelopes, scripted paper, an image with letter, and so on!

I decided to make a card with a matching envelope. To create my envelope, I used a template from Dutch Doobadoo.
The papers I used are from K&Company, Urban collection. This is actually the first paper pad I bought when I started scrapbooking, a billion years ago, so it is really really old!
All edges are inked with Distress Ink Walnut Stain.

The image I used is this months newsletter freebie, and she is called Fung La. I used my Copic Markers to color her.
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E13
Hair: E02, E08, E09, E18
Shirt and Eyes: B91, B93, B95
Lips and hair bands: R83, R85
The sentiment is in Dutch. The big words says thanks, and the companion stamp on the lower right corner says for your support. They are from a set from Noor Design.

The N.Y.C. isn't part of the papers, I stamped it with a stamp from Noor Design, and I used Memento Rich Cocoa ink for it

This was it, I hope you like it. Please pop over to The East Wind and join us!

The East Wind Challenge - Make it 3D

Hi all!

Today is the start of a new challenge over at The East Wind, and I had so much fun with this one! Our theme for this challenge is Make it 3D, so you can layer up you image, or like I did, alter a 3D object like a box.

I altered a box that used to contain coffee pads. It was sitting on a shelve since forever, and I finally decided to give it a go. The papers I used are from a very old collection from S.E.I., and I used Distress Ink Walnut Stain on all the edges.

The image I used is called Aurora Birthday, and I used the following Copic Markers to color her.
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E13
Cheeks: E93, E95
Hair: E02, E08, E09, E18
Dress: W3, W5, W7, 100
Present: R22, R24, R27, white gel pen
Ribbon and flowers: YR21, YR23, YR27
Eyes: BG75, BG78

I made two flower clusters and I used several different flowers. The big pink one is from a dollar shop, the white ones are from Joy Crafts and the others are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

And to finish everything off I decorated the inside of the box with papers from the same paper pad.

This was it for today, I hope you all like it! Please pop over to The East Wind and join us!

The East Wind Challenge - Circles

Hi all!

Today is already March 1st, time flies! But, the first of a new month also means a new challenge at The East Wind! And the first of a new month also means a newsletter, with a freebie image!
Our theme for this challenge is Circles, and that can be a circle card, or dots on your card, or punched circles, or whatever round thing you prefer.
Here's my take on the challenge

Well, I don't have to explain how I interpreted the theme, do I? The scalloped circle is cut with my Silhouette Cameo, and so are the layered circles on top. The papers I used are from ScrapBerry's, Winter Joy collection. All edges are inked with  Distress Ink Vintage Photo.

THe image is this months newsletter freebie, and she is colored with my Copic Markers.
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E13
Hair: E43, E47, E49
Branch: E35, E37
Pink: R81, R83, R85
Blue: BG53, BG57, BG49
I used a Nestabilities circle die to cut out my main image.

I added a little piece of lace behind my image, and to finish everything oof, I added several different Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.

The sentiment is from a set from CreaMiep, and is also cut out with a Nestabilities circle die.

This was it, I hope you like it! Please pop over to The East Wind, and join us!

Hi all!

Time for a brand new challenge at The East Wind! Our theme for this challenge is All dressed up, so we want to see some dressy outfits!

Yes, it is true, I made a treasure chest! I went to Action (something like a dollar store) and bought a plain ballerina box. I gently pulled the ballerina part out, and voila, it was a treasure chest!
The papers I used are from Simple Stories, DYI Boutique collection. I only used 5 sheets from the 6x6 pack. All edges are inked with Distress Ink Walnut Stain.

The image I used is called Lucy Loo "Pirate" and I used my Copic Markers to color her. I used the following.
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E13
Hair: E33, E35, E37, E79
Jacket and Hat: C5, C7, 100
Dress: Y32, Y35, Y38
Feathers, Head band: R81, R83, R85

The pirate flag was made with a file from the Silhouette Store, as well as the map that is on top of the box.

I finished off the top of the lid with several Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, as well as some flatback pearls from my own stash.

I also decorated the insides of the box, with papers from the same collection.

In the inside lid is a little mirror, and I just left that as it was.

This was it for today, please pop over to The East Wind and join us!

First, I want to wish everyone a happy new year! Wishing you and yours all the best, I hope you had a great time in 2015 and 2-16 will be even better!

And as it is the first of the month, a new challenge has started over at The East Wind. Our theme for this month is Flag on the Play, so we want to see banners, flags, pennants etc!

The papers I used for my card are from Basic Grey, and I just love them. There are no full sheets left of my paper pad, only scraps! I inked all edges with Distress Ink Walnut Stain.

The image I used is this month's newsletter freebie, isn't this one adorable? I used my Copic Markers again to color, and I used the following.
Polar bear: E40, E41, E43
Skin: E21, E11, E13
Hair: E13, E15, E18
Reds: R24, R46, R89

And of course no card from my hand without any flowers, so I added several from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The fishtail flags are all cut by hand, from the scraops of my Basic Grey paper pad. I added a strip of rhinestones on top of it.

This was it for today, i hope you like it! Please pop over to The East Wind and join our challenge!

The East Wind Challenge - A Meowy Christmas

Hi all!!

December is here, the last month of the year! It is my favorite month of the year, as we celebrate several things! First on Dec 5th we celebrate Sinterklaas, a Dutch tradition for kids. On the 15th we celebrate our daughters birthday, she will be 2 years old!!! And the Christmas, and New Years Eve, what a joy! I just love those holidays!

Anyway, since december is here, we also start a new challenge at The East Wind! Our theme for this one is easy, we want to see Christmas cards!!!

Here's mine

The papers I used are from Carte Bella, and I inked all edges with Distress Ink Vintage Photo.
I kept the design quite simple, because I printed off the image a little bit too big.

The image I used is this months newsletter freebie, which you all received. I used my Copic Markers to color the image, and I used the following.
Big cat: E71, E74, E77, C00, C1, C3
Small cat: YR24, YR27
Holly and berries: YG95, YG97, R89, R46
Gold: Y23, Y26, Y28
Bow: R24, R46, R89
I covered the bauble in Glossy Accents, but is pretty hard to capture that on camera. I also added some dots with a gold pearlmaker pen.

I added some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers as embellishments, and added some Magnola berries.

The sentiment is in Dutch, and says lots of big Christmas hugs. It is from a set from CreaMiep.

This was it for today, why don't you pop over and join us at The East Wind!

I used some ScrapBerry's papers, and I just love the colors on this one! I inked all the edges with Distress Ink Walnut Stain.

The image is called Baby, it's cold outside, and she can be found in the shop. I used my Copic Markers to color her, and I used the following.
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E13
Hair and gloves: BG53, BG57, BG49
Hat and scarf: R81, R83, R85, R89
I used one of my nesting dies to cut out the image.

The other sentiment says Want some hot chocolate?
I finished off my card with some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.

This was it for today, I hope you like it!
