I used my Copic Markers to color her.

Hair: BG53, BG57, BG49
Dress: R22, R24, R27

The East Wind Challenge - Circles

Hi all!

Today is already March 1st, time flies! But, the first of a new month also means a new challenge at The East Wind! And the first of a new month also means a newsletter, with a freebie image!
Our theme for this challenge is Circles, and that can be a circle card, or dots on your card, or punched circles, or whatever round thing you prefer.
Here's my take on the challenge

Well, I don't have to explain how I interpreted the theme, do I? The scalloped circle is cut with my Silhouette Cameo, and so are the layered circles on top. The papers I used are from ScrapBerry's, Winter Joy collection. All edges are inked with  Distress Ink Vintage Photo.

THe image is this months newsletter freebie, and she is colored with my Copic Markers.
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E13
Hair: E43, E47, E49
Branch: E35, E37
Pink: R81, R83, R85
Blue: BG53, BG57, BG49
I used a Nestabilities circle die to cut out my main image.

I added a little piece of lace behind my image, and to finish everything oof, I added several different Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.

The sentiment is from a set from CreaMiep, and is also cut out with a Nestabilities circle die.

This was it, I hope you like it! Please pop over to The East Wind, and join us!

The Stamping Chef - Anything Goes

Hi all!!

It is time for a brand new challenge at The Stamping Chef! As always our theme is Anything Goes, and I have a very special project to share with you all!!
Last Monday was my daughter's FIRST birthday! The image I used to make her invitations, is drawn by Tamara, and she designed it especially for my daughter! I am so proud about it, and that is why I wanted to share this with you all!

The papers I used to create my card are by Basic Grey, Olivia collection. I am also planning on making a mini album from the birthday party, and I will use the same paper collection for it.

The image is called Happy Birthday Tess. She isn't available at the shop, because she is especially designed for me, but there are tons and tons of other lovely images for sale at The Stamping Chef.
I used my Copic Markers again to color her, and I used the following.
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13, and  E93 for blush
Hair: E51, E53, E55
Eyes: YG95, YG97
Shirt: RV21, RV23, RV25, RV29
Dress: B91, B93, B95, B97, B99
I used my circle and scalloped circle Nestabilities die to cut out the image.

The balloon is made with a die from Marianne Design, and I punched a 1 with an old number punch.

The gifts are made with dies from Noor Design, and I used Distress Ink VIntage Photo to ink the embossed parts.

The inside is stamped with a set from Noor Design, and is perfect to make invitations with.

This was it for today, I hope you like it. Please pop over to The Stamping Chef and join us, ANYTHING GOES!!!

Hi all!

Welcome to a brand new challenge at Love to Create! Our theme for this week is Use 2 dies and add sparkle! Our sponsor for this challenge is The Stamping Chef, and they are offering 3 images of the winner's choice. Isn't that generous? Just click on the banner below to visit the shop!
The Stamping Chef

The Stamping Chef also generously offered some images to the DT to work with, and this is what I created.

The main image is cut out with a Nestabilities Labels 4 die, and the border on the right side is made with a Noor!Design die. I blinged up her purse, and some flowers, so there's enough sparkle going on! The papers I used are from Basic Grey. They were gifted to me for my birthday last week.
The image is called Stacey "Spec"Tacular, and she can be found here. I used my Copic Markers again to color her, and I used the following.
Skin: E00, E11, E13
Hair: E51, E53, E55,
Dress: R000, R00, R02, R05, Y21, Y23, Y26, Y28
Purse and glasses: BG11, BG13

The flowers I used are by Wild Orchid Crafts. I added some Diamond Stickles to some of them to make them sparkly.
The sentiment  I used is from StudioLight, stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

This was it for today, I hope you like it. Please pop over to Love to Create and join us!

Crea-Sandra's crafty tutorial world - Creating an accordion card

Hi all!

Today, I would like to show you how to create an accordion card.

Supplies
- Nestabilities Label 1 die
- Card stock: 3.5" x 10.5" and 3.5" x  7"
- Chipboard for the front and back.
If you don't have chipboard (like me) you can also adhere 2 pieces of heavy weight card stock together.
- Patterned paper of your choice
- Ribbon
- Robyn's Fetish image: Christmas Meeces
This set contains 6 images and I used 4 of them on this card.
- Copic Markers or another coloring medium of your choice.
- Strong adhesive
- Embellishments to decorate your card

Cut out 4 pieces of heavy weight card stock, or 2 pieces of chipboard with your Nestabilities label 1 die.

Adhere 2 pieces of heavy weight card stock together.

Take the big piece of card stock (3.5" x 10.5") and score it at 3.5" and 7".
Score the small piece at 3.5".

Crease your folds really well.

The big piece should be folded mountain valley style.

Cover the right part of the small piece with strong adhesive.

Adhere the large strip to the smaller strip.

This is how it should look at this point.

Now you can start coloring your images. I decided to cut them out with a circle die first, but of course that is completely up to you. I used my Copic Markers to color the images, and I used the following.
Mice: C00, C0, C2, C5
Ears and nose: R20, R22
Clothes: BG72, BG75, BG78
Gifts: YG93, YG95, YG97
Ribbons: R24, R27, R29

When I am coloring multiple images of the same kind, I like to color in sections. First I colored all the mice and then the ears on all images, etc.

Here are my colored images.

Cut some kraft card stock that is 1/8" smaller than one panel of the accordion, and add some patterned paper that is another 1/8" smaller

Now you can decorate them. Make sure they are not too bulky with embellishments, otherwise your card won't close.

Adhere your panels to the accordion.

Adhere your accordion to the back piece.

It should look like this.

Cover your front piece with patterned paper if you want. Do not glue your image to it yet. Also, cut a piece of ribbon that is about 4 times the width of your card.

Adhere your ribbon to the front piece. Make sure the right end is long enough to tie a bow when your card is closed.

Adhere your front piece to the accordion.

This is how it looks right now.

Now you can add your image and decorate the front.

This is my finished project!

This was my tutorial, I hope you like it. I also hope I was able to inspire you with this tutorial and that you will give it a try!

Hugs,

Sandra

Seems a Little Sketchy Guest Designer

Hi all!

Robyn's Fetish is sponsoring Seems a Little Sketchy challenge and I was asked to be their GDT for this challenge.

This is the sketch for this challenge, isn't it lovely?

And here is the card I created with it. I decided to go for a graduation card, as I thought this image is perfect for it!

The image I used to create my card is called Smart Owl, and can be found here.
I used my Copics to color him up, and I used the following.
Owl: E70, E71, E74, E77, E79
Cap: C3, C5, C7
Cape: R56, R59
Beak, Feet, Pencil and bow: YR23, YR27
I also used some glossy accents on his glasses, but it is really hard to see on camera.

The sentiment I used is from a set from AmyR, and the papers are by Basic Grey. All edges are inked with Distress ink Vintage Photo.
This was it for today, I hope you all like it. Now pop over to Seems a Little Sketchy for a chance to win some fabulous images from Robyn's Fetish!

Hugs, Sandra
