Digi Haven - Let's go on a picnic!

Hi all!

Time is flying by so fast, I barely have time to think about what day it is! But my calender says it is Friday, which means a new challenge at Digi Haven! Our theme for this week is Picnic, and our fabulous sponsor is MyGrafico! They are offering a full set of images of the winner's choice! Just click on  the banner below to visit the shop.

 I made a 4 inch square card, using some Authentique paper I found in my stash. It immediately reminded me of a picnic blanket. I decided to add some lace it to make it look realistic

 The image I used is part of the Picnic Bear set. You can find the set here. I used my Copic Markers to color the image and I used the following.
Bear: E23, E25, E27, E29
Ears and paws: E93, E95
Bow: V12, V15, V17
Honeypot: C5, C7
Honey: Y35, Y38

The sentiment I used is handwritten with a black marker.

Mothersday/Flowers at Digi Haven

Hi all!

Time is flying by, I have been really, really busy, and I don't even know with what! That is the worst part, haven't had a lot of time to craft..
But I did manage to make a DT-sample for the new challenge at Digi Haven. This fortnight we want to see some Mothers day or floral projects.

MyGrafico also generously sponsored a digistamp set to us DT, the Fancy Flower Set, and we all picked a different flower. Everyone had their first choice, but since I was away for a while, I just emailed our BIG BOSS Denise which of the images haven't been chosen. Denise sent me the gorgeous Magnolia image, not knowing this is my FAVE flower! I have 2 magnolia trees in my yard, and boy, I love them!
This is what I created.

At this point, the card might look a little weird, but it is some different kind of Easelcard, let me just show you a side view!

Now it makes sense, right? In the Netherlands, Mothers Day is this sunday, May 12th, so I made this card for my own mom.
I used a template from a Dutch club, called Kaartenkast. I really love the template, I will use this one more often!

The magnolia is colored with my Copic Markers, and just like a real magnolia flower, I tried to let the color fade out to almost white. To do that, I used the following markers
V000, V01, V12, V15, V17.

The papers I used are by Basic Grey, Plumeria collection. I also used a white doily, which I made purple using Distress Ink Dusty Concord. It happened to be the exact same shade of purple as my designer paper! I also used some purple twine.
The sentiment I used is by Nicole Verkooijen, and says "To the loveliest mom".
The pearls I used are from my stash.

Have a special birthday

Hi all!!

Time flies, it is already time for a new challenge at Digi Haven! This fortnights challenge theme is SPRING, and to be honest it is about time to become spring! I live in the Netherlands and we had snow AGAIN this afternoon! The weather channel says this Easter will be colder than last Christmas... I think I will go to bed, will you wake me up if spring arrives?

Anyway, like I said, we want to see SPRING themed projects, and we have a lovely sponsor for this challenge!

MyGrafico also generously offered the Happy Bugs set to the DT, and I made this!

I made a really colorful caterpillar, and I also used the grass leafs.

I used coloring pencils to color my image, in just random colors.

The cardbase is made with Stampin Up Whisper White cardstock, and the DP is by Prima Marketing, Melody collection. I used my Nestabilities dies to cut several circles. I also used a piece of ribbon from my stash.

The sentiment I used is by Whimsy Stamps, and I used Stampin Up Cherry Cobbler ink on Crumbcake cardstock.

Valentine at Digi Haven

Hi all!

How are you all doing? Me is perfectly fine, and it was a long time ago I could say that!
Enough about that, time for a new challenge at Digi Haven! With valentinesday coming up, choosing the theme was pretty easy, Valentine or love has to be it!

For this challenge I made a heart banner, using 2 of the images from the set they provided to our team. The papers I used are all from my stash.

Here is the female bear, colored with Copics that desperately need to be re-inked :)
Sentiments I used are all from the same set, Love Always, by AmyR.

Here is the male bear, colored with the same markers... The paper roses are from my stast, and so is the ribbon I used.

These flowers are all by Prima Marketing, and the brad is actually a black one, I used a white gelpen on it!
