Hi!
How are you all today? I am guesting over at the
Mixed Media Monthly Challenge Blog this month and have a project to share! The inspiration was really fun:
I love the pastel colors and all the texture! Here is what I made:
I know, I could have went with the Easter theme but I didn't start with the stamps- I started with a triangle shaped Gelli Plate! I loaded it up with some springtime colored Distress Paints and stamped a background. I also played around with a pattern scraper. It added some texture to the triangle impressions. Once those were dry, I cut the paper down to card front size and added some texture paste with one of my Teresa Collins stencils. I also gave it a good splattering of gold mist to add some shimmer.
Once it was done, I knew I had to pull out Waffle Flower's
Magical Stamp Set! I stamped out the horse and added her wings. I cut her out and then added some a soft shading of color along her main and tail. I also added some sparkle to her wings with a Wink of Stella pen. You can see some of the details here:
I stamped the first part of the sentiment onto vellum with Staz On ink. Then I used the
Magical Word Die to cut out the second part. I cut it out of black cardstock and covered it in black Elizabeth Crafts glitter. It gives off a lot of sparkle in real life!
I'm so glad I got to play along with the
Mixed Media Monthly Challenge this month! Pop over to check out what their design team created! I hope you'll play along too-
