Hey Chickie! --FMS 325

February 25, 2018

I am playing along with the fun sketch by Amy at Freshly Made Sketches.

My card is created on a Berry Blast card base.  A white layer was embossed with a polka dot embossing folder.  I found this jelly bean paper in my Easter stash and cut the rectangle to match the sketch.  I stamped the image in Memento black ink using the Neat and Tangled Cottontail Cuties stamp set.  I colored her with Copic Makers and cut her out using the matching dies.  Wink of Stella was added for shine  I cut out and egg and the stripes using the Lawn Fawn Happy Hatchling die set.  The sentiment is stamped in black using the Cottontail Cuties set.

I am so glad you stopped by my blog today!

Have a fantastic week!

Hey Chickie -- FabFri131

February 25, 2018

I am playing along with the Fab Friday Challenge.  Their sketch was perfect for the card I wanted to create.

My card is created on a white card base.  I used a scalloped border die to cut the Wisteria Wonder card stock for my background.  The banner was cut with Lawn Fawn plaid paper.  The little girl is stamped using the Cottontail Cuties stamp set by Neat and Tangled.  I colored her and the wagon/eggs with Copic Markers and cut them out using the matching dies.  I cut a white egg die to place behind the girl.  I popped her up with dimensionals.  A Baker's Twine bow was added to the top to complete the sketch!  If you see a little wet drop at the top of my card, it was sprinkling outside when I took my picture.  LOL!  I was trying to get the pictures taken before it starting raining.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!  Have a wonderful week!

Congrats On Your New Home FUSION

November 10, 2017

I finally had a few minutes to myself and wanted to play along with the Fusion Card Challenge.

The sketch was just perfect for a card that I wanted to create for my SIL and BIL's new home.

I took the liberty of turning the sketch on the side.

My card is created on a white card base.  I used distress inks to create the background.  The new home sign is from Neat and Tangled stamps--Welcome Home.  I stamped and colored it with Copic Markers and used the matching dies to cut it out.  The leaves were stamped using the SugarPea Designs Lovely Leaves and the matching dies.  The pumpkins are from a retired Stampin' Up! set Fall Fest and the dies.  Wink of Stella was added for shine on the leaves and leaves.

I hope this will make them smile as they are getting settled in their new home.  Just in time for Thanksgiving!

Have a fantastic weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

Smiles! PP#353

July 16, 2017

It is an exciting day for my family!  My son, John is marrying his beautiful fiancĂ© today!  I am so happy for them.  I am home in Indiana with my family.  It is so wonderful to have special time with all of them.

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!  I am the hostess this week!  I love summer water fun and I thought it would be fun to create cards with this theme.   The challenge is Clean and Simple so remember to limit your layers and embellishments.

I am also entering my card in the Fusion Challenge.  They have a beach inspiration scene this week, too!

My card is created on a white card base.  I used an old favorite stamp set Gorgeous Grunge to create this fun background.  I used a variety of distress inks on watercolored paper with the stamps and created the sky and sand.  I spritzed it with water and this fabulous background came to life.  I loved it!  I trimmed  it with Avery Elle Wonky Border dies.  The little elephant is from one of my favorite new stamp sets Beach Day from Neat and Tangled.  I colored the elephant with Copic Markers.  The sentiment is cut four times using the Winnie and Walter Cutaways dies.  I used Chocolate Chip for the base and 3 layers of Pool Party card stock to create the sentiment.  I added Wink of Stella and  Glossy Accents for shine.  I also added Glossy Accents to the beach ball.  The sun is cut from a piece of watercolored paper that I stamped after using distress inks to create this color for the sun. Clear sparkling sequins were added for shine.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from our design team and I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.
