Three Bracelets and a Cat!
Three bracelets that I am considering putting in my Folksy shop - I am not sure yet. The first photo is the most beautiful cat in the world - perhaps the post should have been called 'A Cat and Three Bracelets'...) I just can't seem to get a photo that is in focus though!

Groovy Earrings!
I saw these in Bead and Button and have been intending to make them for ages. I finally got around to it yesterday and finished them this morning. They were really easy to get to grips with, but they look complicated - I think that they are an amazing design. They are going in my Folksy shop (see link on right).
I lost another half a pound this week - which is REALLY strange. The only thing I can attribute it to is being unwell, because I did NOT deserve it.

A ring I Bought From Tia's Glass
I have liked the work on this maker's Folksy shop for ages. I happened to be looking through Esty and found her there too. As it happened, I saw this ring and just had to have it. It was a bit of a difficult decision between about 4 or 5 rings in the shop. As you can see, it came beautifully packaged in a lovely box, and an organza bag. Thanks to Tia's Glass for the quick serivce too.

Another Stripy 'Cordoba' Bracelet
This time I used 3mm cube beads instead of 4mm so the bracelet has turned out narrower. The colours are hard to see (blooming winter light) but they are kind of 'egyptian' - turquoise, gold, bronze etc. I am really pleased with how it has turned out and it will be going in my Folksy shop asap.

Another Wire-Wrapped Bead Bracelet
And look what it did to my poor little hand! I have to lay off the wire-wrapping for a few days, until the blister goes down...
The bracelet is made from 6mm glass pearls, 3mm glass pearls, MOP discs, 6mm fire-polished glass beads and 10mm fire-polished glass beads. I am not usually a fan of green things, but I love this. I added a little feature dangle on the clasp, to give a bit more interest. I even had a go at making my own jump-rings, with 1mm wire. I think 0.8mm would be better, but, at least the one I used is really strong!

Strata Bracelet From Spellbound Beads
This has been sitting in my pile of projects to do since I bought it at the Sandown bead fair in November last year. I tried to make it once before but it went horribly wrong and I gave up - however, I went through my UFOs the other day and vowed to make it. I ignored anything that seemed to be going wrong during the make and kept plodding on, working on the basis that I should just follow the instructions. Slowly but surely it built up, despite the instructions not being the clearest in the world. I am thankful that I was not a beginner trying this as I would have probably given up on beading forever!
Anyway, it is finished now and I think it looks lovely. I changed the round beads for beads of my own as I was not happy with the quality of the ones supplied in the kit. All in all, although I think the finished kits from Spellbound do look lovely, the instructions are far from clear and the beads are not good enough quality.

Three Bracelets
A friend very kindly offered to have a jewellery and card party for me next week. I realised that most of the things I had in my stock were bead woven and might not appeal to some people. So, I decided to get my pliers, crimps and chains out and make some different styles of things. Although the photos are not the best, you should be able to see what I have done. For some reason, the macro setting on my camera would not comply!

Beaded Bead Earrings
I am so pleased with the way these turned out. I used the pattern from my C&G course, but did my own thing. I would wear them myself, but they are going in my Folksy shop...

'Bright' Partner Challenge
Further to the glimpses shown a few days ago, here is the finished piece. It is a very short necklace and the pendant hangs in the hollow of the throat. I thought that the chain should be understated as the pendant is large and colourful. Having tried it on, I can confirm that it is comfortable and hangs beautifully. This piece is going to go into the Crafter...oo Comic Relief Shop on Folksy.

Crafter...oo 'Bright' Partner Challenge
I have been paired up with Rachel at GlamGlass Gifts for this challenge. She made the glass pendant and I needed to make something to hang it from. I am about 1/3 of the way through, but thought I would post a picture at this point, just for interest.

Look at These Wonderful Lampwork Beads...
I bought these from Gill at Hollingdale Designs. They arrived in two days, wonderfully packaged, with two chocolates...(yum!)
How lovely are they??? The brown ones were made especially for me and when I looked at them on her site, I also fell in love with the turquoise ones. I will be spending a fair amount of time thinking about what to make with them, but will blog them when I have.

Thirsty? Try root beer and blackcurrant...
I am really happy with this bracelet. It feels light-weight but substantial, has a lovely 'clinking' sound when you wear it and the colours look delicious together.
