Pendant and Earrings Set

I seem to be making a lot of these rings lately! I think I am going to stop now after I have finished the one I am doing now (which will be a ring).
I seem to get caught up in things until I get sick of making them and then never do them again! Little and often would probably the best way to be...

Lariat and Pendant

The first three pictures are a pendant I have made. I was aiming for a ring but got the sizing slightly wrong, so turned it into a pendant! It looks fab hanging from a simple silver chain, and has 3mm fire-polished beads to give it that bit of subtle sparkle.
The last three pictures are of a lariat I made over the last few days. It grew organically, from a basic idea that changed as I went along. I can't get the colours quite right but you get the general idea!

A Bit More of My TTNP

I have stitched one side of the chain to the amulet purse, so now just have to make it about half as long again, so that it fits over the wearer's head. It is working up fairly quickly, which is always a good thing when you have to stitch about 25"!!!

Brick Stitch 'Feather' Pendant

This pendant was inspired by some earrings in a book, but only loosely. The actual design and make-up was my own. I love the mix of turquoise and brown/bronze - it is so lovely. I am going to put this in my Folksy shop without a chain, so someone can decide for themself how to wear it. I could not decide on a ribbon, chain or thong, as all would look lovely in my opinion.

'Bright' Partner Challenge

Further to the glimpses shown a few days ago, here is the finished piece. It is a very short necklace and the pendant hangs in the hollow of the throat. I thought that the chain should be understated as the pendant is large and colourful. Having tried it on, I can confirm that it is comfortable and hangs beautifully. This piece is going to go into the Crafter...oo Comic Relief Shop on Folksy.

Crafter...oo 'Bright' Partner Challenge

I have been paired up with Rachel at GlamGlass Gifts for this challenge. She made the glass pendant and I needed to make something to hang it from. I am about 1/3 of the way through, but thought I would post a picture at this point, just for interest.

Kerry at Pennydog wanted me to make her a chain roll, to take her chains to fairs. She wanted more fabric bars than I had ever used before, but it just works I think! I added a little pocket on the front, to allow some storage for findings or pendants (or anything else small...)
Excuse the bad pictures - the sun was beginning to set by the time I had made the piece.

A 'Chickadee' Design!

This bracelet is all my own design - I couldn't get a decent photo of it though. Anyway, if you like it, please compliment, don't copy. I am copyrighting it...

Another Spiral Rope Stitch - With Cubes This Time

This is exactly the same stitch as the previous set of jewellery. However, I swapped the size 6 beads for 3mm cube beads. I love the matte metallic look of the beads and the drop at the end of the toggle chain allows it to hang nicely on the wrist. I am thinking of making a berry version, using hex beads instead of the cubes...keep your eyes peeled!

A Lariat for MIL's Birthday

This was made as a present for my mother-in-law. I took lots of jewellery to show her on Sunday and she liked the purple lariat I made in March or April. I asked her if she would like one and she specified blacks and pearls as a colour. I really hope she likes it! I wore it this morning (as I always road-test my pieces before giving them away - to make sure that there are no faults) and sold one to a friend! So wearing pieces CAN generate sales!

It is made from a simple rope/spiral stitch which is easy but time-consuming. The beads are size 9 seed beads.

Week 4 - C & G Course

Daisy Flower Chain - samples and finished project. NOT my type of thing at all, although they make nice chains for children. The red chain can be wrapped twice around the wrist or worn as a choker necklace.

Chain & Charm Bracelet

I made this last night and this morning. I love it! This may or may not go in my shop, depending on how I'm feeling...

A new style of necklace - not sure really...

I saw a similar necklace on a friend and thought I would have a go making something like it. I am quite pleased with how the beads look together but am not sure about the ribbon! All comments would be appreciated...

Aah...these are more like it!

I had another go and like these ear-rings much more. My friend wasn't keen on the others either, but I hope she will like these.

Bracelet for my Mum

I was on a roll with jewellery, and remembered that I had some old fake pearls that I could use to finish Mum's half-made bracelet. So, I got working and am really pleased with the result. I hope she is too...

Ear-rings

I decided to make some ear-rings using the chain-maille format again. This time I hung the individual loops from a piece of chain, rather than interlinking them. They should hopefully be stronger that way. I also hung a pearl drop from the bottom link, which I think gives a nice, dangly effect.
