Final Picture for Teaching Staff
Max has had a great year this year. This picture is the last of three that I made and I think it came out really well. I am toying with making more of these - I just want to get the borders a bit more professional before I start selling them.

New Camera!!!
Mark has been listening to me moaning about the old camera for weeks now. Yesterday, while we were in town, he asked for some time to look in some gaming shops and surprised me later, having sneakily bought me a new camera! It is the Canon PowerShot A470 and seems really easy to use. It is very similar to the old one, as that was also a Canon. Even a technophobe like me can use it! It has a lovely large screen and I am really looking forward to showing you the results on this blog!

Kerry at Pennydog wanted me to make her a chain roll, to take her chains to fairs. She wanted more fabric bars than I had ever used before, but it just works I think! I added a little pocket on the front, to allow some storage for findings or pendants (or anything else small...)
Excuse the bad pictures - the sun was beginning to set by the time I had made the piece.

Coin Purse
This is a coin purse that I designed myself. The inner bit, where the money goes, has velcro to stop it falling out but there is also a button flap for effect. Although it is obviously a prototype and not saleable (I need to work on my buttonholes for a start!) I am pleased with the way I managed to think about the process of making the article up. It is fully lined and the velcro stitching is inside the lining - so not on view at all. I will probably make a larger one for cosmetics, using a ribbon to tie the flap.

Nicknots
I found this lovely crafter on Folksy, when I was looking for a Christmas present for my mum. I ended up buying a bag similar to this one, for a little girl who was having her 8th birthday party last weekend.
The bag was beautifully made and came within two days, in very professional wrapping. The mum told me today that her daughter LOVED it! I would really recommend using this seller.

A Softie From LucyKate Crafts
I have always loved the softies made by LucyKate Crafts and wanted to try the pattern she had as a project in the first edition of 'Sew Hip' magazine. So, here it is. Obviously, I don't have the flair that she has for this kind of thing. Her projects seem to have a life of their own where my copy looks...well, lifeless. BUT, it was only my first attempt.

Chain Rolls
I had a request to make a jewellery roll purely for chains to be stored in, so I changed the pattern of the previous one and used velcro to make it a little more secure when closed. I then made another as I was on a (jewellery) roll!
I am rather pleased with them on the whole - especially as I didn't have any instructions, just the basic pattern.

Mark and I worked as a team and did a blooming good job...if I do say so myself!
The kitchen chairs were looking distinctly worse for wear, so we re-covered them today. I am so impressed at the job we did, especially as it did not lead to a divorce! The fabric was a bargain at £1.99 per metre. I bought 2 metres, but only used 1 - so enough left for a 'project' of some kind then!
