Swarovski Jewels on my Shop...

Both of these catch the light beautifully. As usual, photographs don't capture the real glitter of them. Imagine wearing the bracelet on a sunny day, moving your arm and watching the light glisten on your wrist.
The earrings only have a small drop, but have enough movement that they will also catch each sunbeam.

Tubby Thursday and Earrings

These earrings are made from a pattern for circular peyote that I covered in Level 2 of the City and Guilds course. One of my finished pieces was a choker made of these hexagons, sewed together. It was my best piece I think, mainly because it was different to anything else made.

This week, I am disappointed to write, I gained 1.5lbs. I did deserve to gain, although I wasn't expecting THAT much! I did have a few extra points each day and Tuesday was a bad day because I was really fed up (sad, not the food meaning!) Anyway, I am back on track and have already been to the gym twice this week. Spicy tomato and lentil soup for dinner - tasty.
I must admit to finding the whole thing very difficult at the moment. I think it must be the weather, but I am so hungry ALL the time. Having said that, I am over half way, so I must keep slogging away.

Labradorite Bracelet and Earrings

This set has been made for someone in particular, but I won't say who as she reads this blog.

This one is going to Max's teacher at the end of the year. She is a lovely teacher and I have had a fair amount to do with her as I help out one morning a week. I was making her a beaded bookmark, but I know she loves jewellery, so have decided on this. Now I am doing the whole, 'Is it too much' thing that I did with her present at Christmas! It cost £12 to make, which is more than I would normally spend, but then, what else can you get for that? A bunch of flowers and box of chocolates?

The labradorite coins look lovely with the silver findings and it is a really weighty piece.

Peyote Discs - Finished!

Not an excellent photo of the necklace I'm afraid, so I hope to take another soon. But, you can see (along with my double chin) that it sits nicely on the neck. I made side bands of peyote stitch and attached ribbons to tie the choker with. The earrings are incredibly simple as the choker is such a statement piece. I wore it today, to show my C&G class and it was very comfortable, despite me not really liking things too close to my neck.

Peyote Discs

These were from a Pandorion pattern which I have made as part of my C&G Course. I am going to make them into a necklace and earrings for my final 6 sets. I still need to make several more discs and think of a way to include them into a necklace but I am working on it. I love the colours together - really me!

Time For Tea Swap

Notelets

Earrings

Fruit Tea - because Vonnie doesn't like it and I am going to MAKE her!

I realised today that the deadline was creeping up on me and I hadn't started my items for Blotted Copy Book. So...I sat down this afternoon and got stuck in. These are the results, which I really like - I hope Vonnie does too...

Amazing what you can do if you have pressure on!

Beaded Bead Earrings

I am so pleased with the way these turned out. I used the pattern from my C&G course, but did my own thing. I would wear them myself, but they are going in my Folksy shop...
