Two Nehas, Two Tags :-)

What a co-incidence. Just exactly when I'm not having anything interesting in life to write about, I get two tags by two friends. And co-incidently again, both of them are called "Neha"!! :)

So here I go, NEHA HADKAR has tagged me for "The ABC tag". It goes like this:

1)Link the person who tagged you.

2) Post the rules on your blog.

3) Share the ABCs of you.

4) Tag 3 people at the end of your post by linking to them.

5) Let the 3 people know of the tag by leaving them comments.

6) Do not tag the original ‘tagger’.

Aarrgghh !!

For the first time in my internship, I'm regretting being on leave :( Yeah, you heard it right, It might sound insane, but yeah, its true. I must have said "What the hell", quite a few times now. No intern would repent being on leave. Even I wouldn't in other circumstances. We jump and grab the leaves we can get. But now, there are three things that are making me regret. One- I'm sick :-(. Two- It's happening during Ortho postings of the lot!! Three- I'm royally bored!!! Ortho postings has hardly any work to be done. Coming home by 11.30 am on free days feels nothing else but 'bliss'. And I'm missing out on that.. Wish I had fallen ill during some other postings when I had loads of work to do :( I would have slept with peace..

This fever is so sickening. It's changed from intermittent to continous now. I'm so royally bored sleeping all the time. The only other thing that's happening is that music is playing. And my 'younger' sister keeps advising me to stop it coz she thinks that it'll give me a headache!! My younger sister reigning over me? yeah, I know, power does a lot to people. Mom's not in town. So, my sister thinks she is responsible to look after my health now. Poor girl, she ends up asking me if I want anything umpteen times a day. Mom will be back tomorrow. I'm glad. It's always so nice to have Mom around.

Gave my blood for repeat investigations. Waiting for the reports. Have to call the physician after that. I realise, there are a few advantages being a doctor. Or even a doctors' kid. No need to worry about hospital hours, even for the slightest problems. Things get done anytime. :-) I wouldn't have consulted a physician for this fever. Thought it's viral. But it's been a week and sumptoms aren't reducing. So, my parents need 'expert' opinion for that. lolz. See, when your kith and kin fall sick, you forget that you are a doctor too :-).

My friends are giving me varied diagnosis every time they call me. And they seem to be very sure of it. It's fun when they say, "This disease doesn't usually present like this, but it can you know?"..Yeah, yeah, I know :). See, this is what happens when you know half and half :). Anyways, best one was when somebody said 'swine flu'.. hehehe... How could he say that? But poor guy, i appreciate his concern :)

One of my best friend's wedding got finalised. I'm so happy for her. The wedding's after a year. I just wish it was somewhere at a more nearby date. I'm sure I'll be a part of it. So wondering if it could happen somewhere now. Atleast would have had some excitement in life. lolz :) . I guess it'll be the first wedding among my 'best' friends. So, pretty excited about it. :)

I seem to have fallen in love with the song 'chor bazaari' from the movie 'Love aaj kal'. Been hearing it over and over again. Love the beats in the song somehow. My sis says that I need to change the song. I've played it so many times that she has the lyrics by-heart itseems.lolz. I won't change. Getting some sadistic pleasure by irritating her ;-) .

Ok, I'm hungry now. Need to go eat something. Feels so good scribbling my mind out. I feel less 'aarrgghh'. I hope you guys don't feel 'aarrgghh' reading it :) . If you do, don't write to me.. Write to..,.maybe...hmmm... My sister... lolz ;-)
Take care

Ink and paper...

I write. People write. They love to write. They might write simple or complex, but they write. But what makes them put imaginations and thoughts into words? How do pictures come down onto paper from some nook of the mind? How do people get time for all this amidst their busy schedule? Maybe that's what you call, 'Inspiration'.

For a few, Inspiration is the smile got on their face while , after and forever after writing. For a few, it might be the smile got on somebody else's face. For a few, it might be something they do to get their part of fame. For others, it might be just to make their loved ones proud of them. It might be just the gush of thoughts in your mind that won't give you peace until you put it on paper. Or it might just be a simple time pass that you wanna shoo away time with. It might be the habit you inculcated in yourself since school days when you wrote essays. It might as well be something you've been trying to do to improve your vocabulary, to keep up pace with the world. It can even be the task your doing because somebody said you couldn't do it. It might even be something your doing, just to impress your special someone. You might write , to get rid of your loneliness. Or maybe just because it makes you feel serene. You might write when the night's silent and dark, and you wanna do something nice. Or maybe when your in the market and something interesting or weird caught your attention. You might blog just because the world blogs and you need one for yourself to flaunt about. You might write poetry because you'r tired of studying your syllabus and you want to be more creative for now. Maybe that you have great authors as your idols and you wanna be like them someday. Or maybe it's just a stress buster. Or it may just plain be, coz you love doing it :)

Somebody asked me what inspires me to write. I really don't know the exact answer for that. I don't know why I started writing. I don't even remember when i started 'writing' per-se. I've been doing it, in bits and pieces though, since really long. I think old habits die hard :) But all I know , is that I get a smile on my face when I write. I look forward for appreciation too. But yeah, the smile stays for a long time. Feel content.. Relaxed.. Glad..

A lot of my friends write. And a few of them, have become my friends for the reason that we share a common thing. We write. We don't aim to be high profile authors. We don't write amazing poetry or novels which get published. We just scribble a few poems, a few articles, maybe a few short stories or bedtime stories for children. But yeah, we enjoy doing that. And we are proud of ourselves for that. I bet all my friends would agree to that.

It's really a nice thing to play with words. Words are always better to play with than numbers. Words have more life than numbers. In case you guys want proof, just try playing crossword instead of sudoku. If you don't find it interesting, keep doing it for a few more days. Finally, you will like it. Then just pick up a pen and paper. Whenever something strikes your mind, just scribble it on paper. Before you realise, your thoughts would have turned into poetry :). Somebody had told me this latter part. And I feel its genuine.

There's a separate world around each person. There are so many people around each person. So there are so many worlds overlapping around each person. You just have to take a good enough look..And then, you'll find what I call my blog, 'The World Around Me"...

p.s.- Dedicated to all my friends and others who do one amazing thing-- Write.. :) Keep it going guys :)
Cheers :)

What does my birthday say about me?!?!?!?

I took this so called 'Quiz' on orkut, which said "What does your birthday say about you?". It was supposed to assess my personality based on my birthday. I don't believe much in such things, but yeah, curiosity sometimes makes you try such stuff. This is what I found as 'result' after answering to a couple of questions. Well, let's just see what I think about it. And hey, all you people who know me well, please do leave your views about how well these traits suit me. Just inquisitive (and jobless at the moment) you see ;-)

Attractive personality, sexy. - I should take people's opinion about it.

Affectionate.- That I am :)

Shy and reserved.- Not really. I am, only at times. It all depends on the people and circumstances.

Secretive.- Depends again.

Naturally honest, generous and sympathetic.- Oh yeah, dead sure about that :)

Loves peace and serenity.- Any day , any time :)

Sensitive to others.- Yup. But if u piss me off, I really don't care what happens in your life.

Loves to serve others.- I'm a Doctor after all you see :)

Easily angered.- Yes, yes, Oh yes!!

Trustworthy.- Very much. I flaunt it ;-)

Appreciative and returns kindness.- I do, I do.

Observant and assesses others.- I would say, not really.

Revengeful.- I don't think so. But I can never think of helping people who have ticked me off.

Loves to dream and fantasize.- Yup, very much. I dream a lot.

Loves traveling.- Yes, i enoy journerys.

Loves attention.- Everybody does :) But I become conscious at times. Should change that.In the process of doing that.

Hasty decisions in choosing partners.- Really?? Should wait and watch.

Loves home decors.- Yeah.

Musically talented.- Oh yeah. I'm a trained Carnatic Classical Singer. I play the Keyboard big time. Can manage to play the Violin. So yeah, true :)

Moody.- This is one word that would best describe me I guess. Many of my friends say so :)

Done with Surgery-VI

"The End" of Surgery postings..

Over and out with 49 days of 'Surgery-VI'. Got so used to saying that word 'Surgery-VI', that it became similar to the 'Hi' that I used to tell my friends. Every time I went to get or submit the O.T. list, to collecting reports, to calling the wards, to references, to telling umpteen people as to where I belong,...well, it was always 'Surgery-VI'. The fact that it was my first 'major' postings made me go more accustomed to it. All my previous postings were only for 15 days each, and I hardly had any work to do. By the time I would realise that I belong somewhere, postings would get over and I would belong somewhere else. But surgery-VI, Oh it gave me so much work that for the starting few days, I felt that I'm being royally, extremely, unreasonably overworked!!!. Lolz.. I don't blame the people who I worked with, no ways!! There was so much work indeed!

Well, had a nice experience in a few ways and I wanted to flee away from the unit sometimes too.. Had quite a few nice people to work with. Few of them were 'fun' too. I'll always remember them. Had 2 fights too with somebody not-so-nice. lolz. :) But hey, I won- both times. And that's all that matters ;-) I cribbed about the workload quite a few times, but never had any bad experiences that would bring tears in my eyes. I'm just so glad that the Saturday OPD days are gone, atleast for the time being. It used to feel so awkward to work 'busy' on Saturdays and Sundays!! Got to learn quite a bit too. All thanks to-well, those who taught me ;-)

Personal front too went well in the period. No regrets about anything. The number of games in my phone increased, chit-chat sessions with my co-intern increased, number of coffee day visits increased..Only thing that almost came to a nil, was my studies. Its in dire need to be started again!!

Well, all in all, I'm content and happy that I'm done with 'Surgery VI'. But somewhere in some nook of my mind, I'll miss it too. No specific reasons for it. And I don't wanna decipher it too :) Glad just the way it is :)
