A Working Elf at Miss Kate's Winter Challenge

Hello Everyone,
Welcome to all my new crafty friends!
The new challenge at Miss Kate Cuttables starts today, and remember there is a free file every day! Hopefully you will be able to join us during the next two weeks with your own creation.

This Week's Challenge...
Winter/Christmas

Here is my Design Team project...

I think elves should get some credit for all their hard work they put in during this time of year. They help Santa do all the work, but they are never in the spotlight.

I used the following sketch by Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I used the boy elf file from Miss Kate Cuttables. The stamped sentiment is by Whimsical Designs (no longer available). The pattern paper is by Recollections ~ Holly Day Wishes stack. I added cherry glitter glue to the berries and gems. Lastly, there is Wink of Stella glitter on the white parts of the hat and flag banner, although it is difficult to see.
Hope you will join us at Miss Kate Cuttables for the "Winter/Christmas" challenge. The other design team members are in a festive mood this month.  Be sure to check out ALL the variety!

Thanks for stopping by!

Drop Me a Line

Happy Saturday!

Hope everyone is ready to enjoy their weekend. What do you have planned? I told my hubby I'd like to get some new shorts, so hopefully we will find some good deals. We also need to pick up his Father's Day present.

As I was thinking about what project I wanted to make next, I decided to work on some sketches. I had about five or six saved on my desktop and was ready to get crafty.

I saved this sketch from Cardz TV last week because I liked the possibility of different background papers that could be used. I bought this paper pad (The Stamps of Life ~ Laugh Collection) at the Scrapbook Expo and was excited to use the patriotic colors.

The anchor is from a Miss Kate Cuttables file which was cut on my Cameo. I added ribbon, Trendy Twine, and a button to dress it up. Then Denim skittles by Carri were adhered in the lower left corner.

The stamped sentiment is by Whimsical Designs (closed) and it is stamped on a MFT fishtail banner. The background mat was cut with MFT Blueprint #13.
Challenges:

This is Project of the Day #16. Can't wait to make the next!

Have a fabulous day!

Sending Smiles to You

Hello Crafty Friends,

Happy Wednesday (I have to remind myself what day it is during the summer or I lose track.). I don't have much planned for today, but I know I want to send smiles to everyone with my Project of the Day #7.

I used this week's sketch at Mojo Monday. It is contest week, which means there will be one winner for every 50 entries, up to a max of SEVEN winners! Winners will receive the Verve Stamps set of their choice.

The stamped sentiment is from Whimsical Design Stamps, but unfortunately they are no longer available. I used MFT  dies for the stitched circle and fishtail.

The cute monster is from Miss Kate Cuttables. I used my Cameo to cut the layers and adhered them with a ZIG fine tip 2 way glue pen. A few sequins (from my new Expo stash) were scattered around.
Other Materials:
red, teal, white, black, and gray card stock
K&Company polka dot paper ~ Secret Santa stack
Lawn Fawn Simply Plaid paper
Versafine Blank Onyx ink

Don't forget to stop by and see what Sharon and Rachelle have created. If you want, join us and share a project each day!

Thinking of You

Happy Monday! It's President's Day, which means a day off to do all those things that weren't finished over the weekend. I already have a list just thinking about it! Hoping to find time to make another project later today (might go to the movies with hubby). Right now I would like to share a card I made late last night for a few challenges.

Since it was Valentines Day I was in the pink and red mood. The Recollections and Paper Studio papers complimented each other nicely.

I used the following sketch from Stick It Down.

This is my favorite die from My Favorite Things...Scribble Roses. I remember buying these with my daughter during my first trip to their store in Eustis. I am so glad I decided to get them! I added a touch of pink glitter glue to the overlay.

The butterfly was cut with an ArtC die and the MFT banner from Blueprints 13 was stamped with a sentiment by Whimsical Designs.

By My Side...Happy Valentine's Day!

 Happy Saturday!

Thanks for stopping by at Carson's Creations. Hope you are enjoying the start to your weekend, especially if you have a long one like me. So glad to have an extra day off...never have enough time to do everything, so an extra day is good!

I surely enjoy working with the Tim Holtz distress inks (this one is barn door) and I am always impressed with clean and simple cards, so I thought I would try combining the two. What do you think? Does this classify as CAS?
I used My Favorite Things Blueprint 20  for the scalloped mat and stitched rectangle. The dual heart is from my Silhouette library. The stamped sentiment is from a retired set by Whimsical Designs ~ With Love.
Enjoy your day! Hubby and I are going to run errands...might stop to look at some jewelry for Valentines. Hope you have a special day with your loved one!

Be sure to come back tomorrow! The winner from the Cupid Strikes Again Blog Hop will be announced. Will it be you?!?!

Brrr! Hot Cocoa, Please at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Everyone,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by on this terrific Tuesday.  Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. Hope you will join us this week!

This Week's Challenge...
Brrr! Hot Cocoa, Please

Here is my Design Team project...
I made a set to keep you warm and toasty on a chilly day. Perfect since it has been frigid the last couple of days. I need some to help thaw me out!

This cup of delicious hot cocoa has been served by Miss Kate Cuttables. The stamped sentiment is by Whimsical Designs ~ Snow Much Fun set.

This cocoa mug file is from My Scrap Chick. I inked the froth along the brim of the cup, added a matching snowflake, and  finished with a little twine bow on the handle.
Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Brrr! Hot Cocoa, Pleasechallenge. The other design team members and our guest diva, Karen, did awesome warming up to this challenge. Be sure to check out the variety!

Tweet! Tweet! Anything Goes with This Bird!

Hello Everyone,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by on this terrific Tuesday.  Today I am sharing the new challenges at both Die Cuttin' Divas and Miss Kate Cuttables. Hope you will join us this week for both challenges!

This Week's Challenges are...

Here is my Design Team project for both challenges...
A lovely bird card that could be for Valentines or maybe an anniversary.

I used the Winter Bird file from Miss Kate Cuttables. The wing is mounted on a pop dot to add some dimension. Instead of the snowflakes that come with the file, I used hearts. I distressed all the paper edges with the Zutter DIA.

I used two different stamps to create the banner. The first half is by Whimsical Designs ~ With Love set. The second half is by Craftin Desert Diva ~ Simply Said set.

Brown crinkle ribbon and a country heart tie all the colors together.

Be sure to stop by Miss Kate Cuttables for the free file of the day!
Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Use a Birdchallenge and Miss Kate Cuttables for "Anything Goes". The other design team members did a fantastic job with this one. Be sure to check out ALL the variety!

Thanks for stopping by!
