By My Side...Happy Valentine's Day!

 Happy Saturday!

Thanks for stopping by at Carson's Creations. Hope you are enjoying the start to your weekend, especially if you have a long one like me. So glad to have an extra day off...never have enough time to do everything, so an extra day is good!

I surely enjoy working with the Tim Holtz distress inks (this one is barn door) and I am always impressed with clean and simple cards, so I thought I would try combining the two. What do you think? Does this classify as CAS?
I used My Favorite Things Blueprint 20  for the scalloped mat and stitched rectangle. The dual heart is from my Silhouette library. The stamped sentiment is from a retired set by Whimsical Designs ~ With Love.
Enjoy your day! Hubby and I are going to run errands...might stop to look at some jewelry for Valentines. Hope you have a special day with your loved one!

Be sure to come back tomorrow! The winner from the Cupid Strikes Again Blog Hop will be announced. Will it be you?!?!

Holiday Cocoa Mug

Hello Crafty Friends,

I am a little late, but today is my day to share at 3 Girl JAM. I used a brand new product from the 3 Girl JAM shop on my project...holiday trim (silver) and a favorite of mine...crinkle ribbon.

Here is my Design Team project...
A holiday mug with hot cocoa, marshmallows, and candy canes.

I used the green ribbon from the Winter Bundle and the red ribbon from the Red, White, and Blue Bundle. The stamp is part of the Craftin' Desert Divas Holly Day Punnies set.

I found the 3D teacup box (my mug) at the Silhouette Online Store. It is a file by Lori Whitlock (Design ID #53794).
Hope you will join us at 3 Girl JAM with your newest holiday project.

November 1st - November 28th
Prize ~ $15 gift certificate to 3 Girl JAM shop

It's Been a Long Time ~ Stop by Die Cuttin' Divas

Oh My!
I forgot to set my Die Cuttin' Diva's post to go live this morning. I am so glad I realized it before the day was over.

Welcome back for another Die Cuttin' Diva Tuesday.

This Week's Challenge...
A Sketch

Here is my Design Team project...
I sure do like to play with words and find new meanings. I thought this dragon was super cute and since they haven't been around in a very long time...it has been a "long time no see". The sentiment can even be used for reconnecting with an old friend.
I create the sketches for our monthly challenge. I use the Paint program, which is quite simple. Not a lot of options, but the sketches can be left to the designer's interpretation.

The dragon was purchased at Silhouette On-line Store, but it is also available at Miss Kate Cuttables. I cut it on my Cameo and it was easy to assemble the pieces. All the edges were inked in blue.
Other Materials:
ivory, blue, orange, and green card stock
pattern papers from scrap box
Meadow green skittles by Carri
blue ink

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Sketch" Challenge. Can't wait to see what you create. Check out the other Design Team projects while there...they have used the sketch in a variety of ways for different occasions.

Mother's Day Linky Party at Craftin' Desert Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today brings a new Linky Party at Craftin' Desert Divas hosted by Tara.

Party Theme is...Mother's Day
Since my Mom passed away in 2010 unexpectedly at an early age, I make all my projects for my Mother-in-Law. She is the nicest person I have ever met. We call her the "Leave it to Beaver" mom since she is just like June Cleaver.

Here is my project...
I made this 3-D apron box for her since she likes to cook.
The box was easy to cut and assemble...I found it on the Silhouette On-line Store.
I added a MOM tag with white twine and a Craftin' Desert Diva Simply Said XOXO stamp from the newest release.
The box will hold quite a few A2 cards with envelopes (I put 5 in my box easily) or a stack of recipe cards.
Hope you will join us for this crafty party at Craftin' Desert Divas! The more you link up, the better chance you have to win! Visit Craftin' Desert Divas for all the rules and to play along.

Sponsors for this Linky Party...
CDD Shop ~ 1 stamp set
Lori Whitlock ~ $15 gift cert to SVG store
The Cutting Cafe ~ 3 Files of Winner's Choice

Be sure to check out the other Design Team projects while there.

I found this Nurse Bear at Silhouette On-line store. Isn't she just precious! I know if I had a boo-boo she would make me feel better!

Just a close-up of the cutest smiling bear!

Other Materials:
red and white pattern paper
brown, white, red, black, and kraft card stock
white pleated ribbon
black Versafine ink

Candy Dispenser for Your Sweets

Hello Everyone,

The weekend is slowly coming to an end, but I am feeling that I have accomplished much. A 21st Birthday Hop for Ashley, my photo light box arrived by Fed-Ex on Saturday, I created a list of crafts I want to try, and then today I got busy with those projects.

One particular project I found at the Silhouette On-Line that I just had to try was this candy dispenser box. Isn't it fabulous?!?! My hubby thought it was neat; therefore, I am going to to give it to him for his desk, which works our perfectly since his school colors are green and gold.
The dispenser was easy to assemble, especially with the instructions provided on the creator's website. No decorations are provided, so you can make it fit any color theme or holiday.
The front piece is movable as it opens and closes to hide the candy. The lid is removable to add more candy. I used Rolos, but any small individual pieces will fit.
Other Materials:
DCWV pattern paper ~ a Christmas stack
kraft and mint green card stock
gold ribbon
Trendy Twine ~ Limeade
Plantin School Book Cricut cart~ tag
Shamrock die -cuts
green ink
My Craft Spot stamp
gold glitter glue
green confetti shamrock

Challenges:
I took pictures in my new photo light box, but I need to keep practicing. I am slightly happy since the shadows are limited. Now I just need to get better with the manual setting on the camera. That is still on "my list" and I am NOT giving up yet.

Off to get a few projects started. I really want to make a shaker card. What is on your list to create?

Stay Creative,
Georgiana

Heart Window Treat Bags ~ Silhouette Studio

Happy Saturday Crafty Friends,

I have been busy organizing my craft area to get ready for a new year. LOTS of goals and BIG plans for 2014. How about you...have you been thinking about what you hope to accomplish in the upcoming year?

I wanted to learn some new techniques, which using the Silhouette Studio Designer Edition might just meet that, huh? I received a $10 download card with my new Cameo and I bought one file (YES, only one so far...so many more I can see I want already!). I wanted to test it out and get good at the program. Using the Cricut is easy, so I am sure this will be too!

Here is a Heart Window Treat bag.
This was my first attempt. The card stock seems a little flimsy, but it works!

The tag was included, but I added the Peppermint twine, K Andrews Valentine stamp, and I used an edge punch for the small hearts.

On my second attempt...
I was able to fit 3 bags on one sheet of 12 X 12 paper.
Each bag is 11.180" X 3.405".
Other materials:
K&Company paper ~ Smitten
white card stock
Hershey Kisses
plastic bag ~ 3" x 3"
pink ink

Looking and feeling like I am ready to conquer the world!
What is next?!?!

Georgiana
