Like so many paper crafters I have a huge 'collection' of small paper
scraps and snippets which, being the paper hoarder I am, I cannot bear to discard.
One good (and slightly addictive) way to use them up is to cut them into
strips and create quilt-like patterns, which can then be used as
backgrounds or even as the entire card front, as is the case below.
The papers are from many different manufacturers.
I glued these strips to a scrap of cream card, then when trimmed it was attached to
gold mirror card. That in turn was adhered to a cream card base. I have also made
a couple of cards that have the strips attached to an adhesive sheet, with ultra-fine
glitter sprinkled on the narrow gaps between the strips.
The greeting, from Paper Rose, was die-cut from gold mirror card,
and it's 'shadow' was cut from a snippet of the same red
card stock used in the 'quilting'.
Challenges I would like to enter:-
Die Cut Divas - 'Angle It'
Pixie's Snippets Playground #422 - 'Always Anything Goes'
Please all stay safe, and also please spare a thought, and prayer if you believe, for the people in Ukraine in their almost unbelievable situation.
Until next time,
Jennifer. xx
