Welcome Sunny Mae

Hello Fellow Crafters,
This is a card that I made for the daughter and son-in-law of our neighbours on the property next door, upon the birth of their little baby girl, Sunny Mae, a couple of weeks ago.

The image is a real oldie...it was in a colouring book that our son had when he was a little boy, so it would have to be about 33 years old. I was sorting through his old books about 6 years ago, and found this image in one of them. I loved it so much I traced it, then saved it in my computer. I forgot it was there until a few months ago, when I was organising all my computer jumble. For this card, I printed it onto X-Press It blending card, and coloured it with Promarkers. I chalked around the elephant, and on the bunny's ears and feet.

I had already written a message in the inside of the card when I realised I had not photographed it, so please forgive the editing.

There is also a die-cut heart on the back of the card with my detail sticker.

Cardstock - Bazzill
Paper - Grant 'Lullaby'
Colouring - Promarkers, chalks
Sentiment & verse - Computer generated 'Brock Script'
Dies - Spellbinder, Cuttlebug, Sizzix
Punches - Martha Stewart, Little Claire
Other - Kaisercraft pearls, Ranger 'Crystal' stickles, from my junk stash

It is almost 2.30 am, so this insomniac must hop into bed, or she will never be able to crawl out in the morning.
Until next time...happy crafting,
Jennifer. x

Beautiful Baby Girl

Hello fellow crafters,
Tonight (or perhaps I should say this morning), I would like to share a page I did for a scrapbook of our beautiful little granddaughter, who lives on the other side of the world in London. I am making the scrapbook, which will document her first year, as a keepsake for her Daddy and Mummy. Children grow up so fast, don't they, especially it seems when they are babies.

I included the lyrics of the song In My Daughter's Eyes...it has such a lovely melody and words.
Don't you just love those beautiful big eyes and eyelashes! I so wish I could give her a big cuddle right now.

Cardstock - Bazzill
Paper - unknown
Dies - Little Claire; Marianne
Punches - Martha Stewart PATP; Carl
Embossing - Cuttlebug
Other - Lace; flowers, brads, pearls from my junk stash

Enjoy the rest of the weekend. 'Til next time,

Jennifer.
