Just For You

Here in Australia, today was Mother's Day, so to all the Mums of
human, or fur babies I hope you all had a happy Mother's Day.
My dear John took me to lunch which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Greeting me this morning was a cute multi-coloured email from our
son and little Granddaughter in London, along with them both singing
"Happy Mum & Grandmama's Day" to the tune of  "Happy Birthday", ending
with a rousing, and giggly triple Hip Hip Hooray! It set me up for the day.

I would like to say welcome to my newest 'Follower', Stephanie S., and
hope you enjoy your visits here.

This is another of the many cards I have made for Fat Cats Card Corner.
I always love the colour combo of pink and green.

The 'Just For You' die is so versatile. I cut 2 and layered them
for added dimension.

A closer look at the floral arrangement.

This next week is going to be incredibly busy, so I will say "goodnight" and try to get a good night's sleep.

Until next time, thank you for visiting,
Hugs,
Jennifer.  xx

Glittered Trees

My goodness, the first week of the New Year has gone already. However, I still
have a few Christmas cards to show you.

This fairly easy card is one I designed for Fat Cats Card Corner (I am on the design
team). I used a minimum of embellishments so as to showcase the lovely Floral
Hexagon die. The narrow white, glittered border of the matting was achieved by
placing glue around the edge, then sprinkling that with Rock Candy glitter. I
die-cut the greeting with D.S. tape on both sides, then after adhering it to the
card, I removed the top layer, and sprinkled that with the Rock Candy glitter.

The trees were die cut from this gorgeous green glitter card.

I can no longer ignore the rumbling of my tummy, so I'd better obey it, and prepare lunch. Until next time, thank you for visiting.

Hugs,
Jennifer.  xx

Olde World Santa

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, are now preparing for
New Year celebrations. Although Christmas is over for another year,
I have a few Christmas cards in my 'drafts', and this is one of those.

I am on the design team for Fat Cats Card Corner, and this card was actually made
to demonstrate a new die which was in the latest batch of dies that Kaaren sent me.

The jolly old Santa is from a 12x12 paper stack I have had for several
years. He reminds me so much of the Christmas cards from my
childhood, many, many years.

I must go and take the washing off the clothesline, then begin pampering myself in a vain attempt to look glamerous...John is taking me out to dinner as it is my birthday today.

Until next time, thank you for visiting,
Hugs,
Jennifer.  xx

Golden Time

This is typical of me, isn't it...a drought of posts, and then several in
quick succession. Life has been rather hectic lately, and will continue
to be so for another few weeks, but then I hope to be able to settle
into a more steady pace after that.

This is another design team card from the bundle of cards I made for Kaaren at
Fat Cat's Card Corner (see previous post). When I received this die, I was at
odds as to what to do with it, but after a while I thought that because the
die was quite detailed, I would keep the embellishments to a minimum.

A close up look at the flower and leaves I cut using one of the other die-
sets that Kaaren sent me. The paper I used for the matting and the flowers
is a beautiful pearlised damask sheet I have had for many years, and
honouring my resolution to start to use up some of my immense hoard
collection of beautiful papers, I cut into it. The photo appears as if
the paper is grey and silver, but it is actually gold on cream.
