Hello friends! Thanks so much for joining us all today. I'm so excited to be hosting a Blog Hop featuring projects from Creativations 2018. Several talented artist shared their creativity and made beautiful samples for the Tim Holtz brads (Idea-ology, Sizzix Alterations and Stampers Anonymous). You are in for a big treat so grab a cup of coffee or tea and join me on this creative journey. Don't forget to leave a comment on the bolgs for a chance to win prizes (details below). You also don't want to miss Tim's fabulous recap of Creativations complete with booth video tours, check it out here!

The project I'm sharing today was for the Sizzix booth featuring the new Funky Florals #1 Thinlits set, Alpha Numeric 3/4"Thinlits, Cut Out Script Bigz XL die and the Tea Time Bigz die.

The Funky Florals set comes with lots of different flowers in the one set.
I can't wait for the other 2 set to come out.

First I chose a color palette, pinks, reds, gold and greens with a little black for the centers. I added Sizzix adhesive sheets to the back of the card stock before die cutting.

I die cut lots of flowers and greenery to work with. I love that the dies fit through the little Side Kick. The Side Kick is so convenient. I also use foam dots to elevate some of the flowers and the tea cup.

LIVE LIFE IN FULL was die cut from the 3/4 " Alphanumeric Thinlits die set and BLOOM was cut with the new Cut Out Script Bigz XL die, the die was designed so the letter connect to each other so you can create words.

I used the Framed Panel from Idea-ology, stained it with Vintage Photo Distress Spray Stain then added a little Ranger Foil Sheets was added to the raised part of the frame with Collage Glue Stick.

A huge THANK YOU to Tim Holtz for creating innovative products for all of us to use. He always AMAZES me!

Tim Holtz Inspirations Series - Holiday Knit Card

Hello Friends! I'm back with another post for the Tim Holtz Inspiration Series. The projects have been amazing!!!! How cute is this Holiday Knit Thinlits die set. I loved how Jan Hobbins used the die on her project yesterday!

The Holiday Knit Thinlits would be great for cards, or a special holiday layout, even a band around a present would be fun. Can't wait to play more with this die.

Die cut strips from Kraft-core cardstock using the Holiday Knit Framelits set. Thinlits are perfect for those intricate images, just look at how tiny these pieces are.

Carefully sand the pieces with a Sanding Grip then ink the edges with Distress Ink on an Ink Blending tool.

Apply a piece of felt or batting to a piece of paper with Glue Stick. The paper is just to keep it stable. Draw a line for lining up the edge of the Holiday Knit strips.

Add stitching around each strip then ink the edges with Distress Ink.

Sand card and mat with a Sanding Grip then add a little Distress Ink.

Choose a little message from Small Talk Occasions, sand the edges then add Distress Ink on an Ink Blending Tool. Small Talk Occasions has so many fun sayings to use on all kinds of projects.

Love how the felt pops through the die cut and makes it look like a real sweater.

Tie Linen Ribbon around the card with a bow. Use a Loop Pin  to add a Type Token and Wreath to the bow.

I also made a Metallic version of the card using Metallic Kraft-core.

You can create such cool effects using the Metallic Kraft-core.
Sand the cardstock in a circular motion to give it a brushed metal effect.
I also love how it looks when embossed with a Texture Fade The raised area stays shiny and the rest is more matte and every Texture Fade reacts a little different.

Thanks for stopping in!

More "Bird Crazy" to love...

Hello all! Thank you all so much for the great comments and  suggestions to name the graduate. I think Albert (as is Albert Einstein) will be perfect, thanks Annette Green for the awesome suggestion.

This series of cards has Bird "Things" that I have altered to be something other then their original purpose. Take the balloon for instance.

Henriett is busy making some art…she's a little messy.
To create the artist palette cut off the little tied portion of the ballon, add a little bit of Dina Wakley's paint and you have the perfect palette. Aren't those little brushes too cute?

Sheldon wants to cheer up his friend.
This big flower was also made from the balloons stamps, 6 oval balloons for the petals and 1 round balloon for the center. Don't forget the leaves, there are just the bunny ears.

Max is sporting a bow tie with polka dots. The bow tie is over stamped with the polka dot tie using a stamp positioner. Easy peasy!!

I think Sheldon is a great name for this "Bird Crazy" a great suggestion from Marcie Lovett for the grad bird but I think it's fitting for this one.

Meet Sheila, Sheldon's younger sister. She loves going on vacation at the beach!
I had so much fun making this one with a little yellow polka dot bikini. The top is a pair of sunglasses turned over and over stamp with the polka dot tie. Don't forget to draw in a little mark for here belly button.

I'm having so much fun with these guys…maybe a little too much fun! What will you make with these cute little "Bird Crazy" and "Bird Things"?

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you are having a creative weekend!
