Free to Imagine Card! New Tim Holtz Stamps

Hello friends! I'm back with a new card from the Stampers Anonymous fall release from Tim Holtz. I loved this stamp set the first time I laid eyes on it. The images are so beautifully detailed. If your didn't see the Tim Holtz Facebook Live video be sure to check it out, the cards and projects were stunning and so inspirational.

I really like all the textures this card has....the crackled texture paste, the script text in the background and of corse the beautiful butterfly.

First I positioned my stencil on to Media Heavystock and taped it down with removable tape.   Next I forgot to take a picture but I added the Crackle Paste with a palette knife. TIP: When I put the Crackle Paste on I only swipe in one direction to help prevent seeping underneath the stencil. Next carefully remove the stencil and then set aside to air dry.

Stamp butterfly with Black Soot Archival Ink on to Watercolor cardstock, (ink must be waterproof) Color with Distress Ink and a Waterbrush.

Add color as desired layering as needed being sure to dry between layers.

Once the Crackle Paste is dry spray with Distress Spray Stains and a little water to help the ink flow and blend, repeat as needed drying between layers.

Adhere vintage lace as desired to 6 1/4" x 4 1/2" base card.

Stamp background with a script stamp using Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. Layer with black cardstock and add stitching as desired. Sew a few buttons to the corner. Adhere background piece to card. Wrap twine around card and tie with a bow.

Love the detail of the buttons sewn on the card and look at the yummy cracked texture.

Cut out the butterfly with scissors. Adhere butterfly with foam tape on the outer portions of the wings and adhere body directly to card with Distress Collage Medium.

Add the word "imagination" to the center of the butterfly and adhere with foam tape.

Color the metal flower with Alcohol Pearl Inks and adhere to card at twine bow.

Skeleton Leaves Discover Card

Hello friends! I'm back with a fall card using a few dies from the Sizzix Alterations line by Tim Holtz. The Sizzix Thinlits Skeleton Leaves Die Set is so delicate and it looks great with the 3-D Lumber Texture Fade for the background.

I love all the different textures on this card and how quickly it all came together.

Cut a piece of Kraft cardstock 4" x 5 1/4" and position the Stacked Deckle die in the center and die cut through the Vagabond. Use a low tack tape to tape the die in position.

Spritz cardstock with water and emboss with the 3-D Lumber Texture Fade. Don't forget to only use one cutting pad as this folder is extra think.

Ink the center lumber piece with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink using a direct to paper technique.

Cut dark brown Kraftstock a little larger then both of the Lumber pieces. Ink the edges of  the layers with Vintage Photo Distress Ink on an Ink Blending Tool.

Color leaves with Distress Ink on an Ink Blending Tool.

Die cut the word DISCOVER from the Adventure Words Thinlits set using a strip of Heavystock and a piece of rust Kraftstock. Lightly ink the edges with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink on an Ink Blending Tool. Cut a flag shape on the left end and stitch on the edges as desired. Adhere vintage dictionary print behind the word.

Adhere pieces together. Use foam tape to adhere the smaller lumber piece and the Discover strip. Tie a bow with twine and adhere with Collage Medium over leaves. Adhere Nail Heads.

How do you like the rustic look of the Lumber with the delicate leaves?

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Sense of Wonder Fall Card - Stampers Anonymous fall release

Hello friends! The weather here has been so warm lately and I'm so looking forward to fall and cooler days. I love fall, it's my favorite time of year! My card today features the new Stampers Anonymous Nature's Wonder stamp set by Tim Holtz and the new Ranger Lift Ink.

Love the textures on this card created by the stamping in the background, the ribbon, flowers and leaves.

Cut Watercolor cardstock for the background of your card, positions stamps over background and pick up stamps with a block.

Drip Alcohol Inks on a piece of Yupo paper.

Add Blending Solution to to felt pad and punch over the surface to blend inks.

Ink stamp with Lift Ink and stamp leaves on to Yupo background then stamp the lifted ink on to Watercolor Cardstock. Blot off the image on the Yupo then buff off the extra ink with a soft cloth.

Apply Distress Markers directly to Media Mat, pick up ink with waterbrush and color leaves. The Lift Ink is waterproof and will not run. Dry with a heat tool.

Apply Distress Micro Glaze to the leaves. The Distress Micro Glaze will act as a resist so the leaves will not take the ink. Stamp background with Craze stamp using Old Paper Distress Ink, add Distress Ink to the background using a blending tool and spray background with Distress Mica Spray in Tarnished Brass. I also flicked the Mica Spray over the background to create some spots. Blot of leaves as necessary.

Spray ribbon and flowers with Distress Spray Stain and Distress Mica Spray, add a little water to help the ink spread, dry with a heat tool scrunching ribbon as it dries.

Cut out leaves from Yupo paper with scissors.

Carefully heat the Yupo leaves with a heat tool, using tweezers shape the leaves as they become pliable to create dimension.

Create mat a little larger then background with rust cardstock, add stitching as desired. Assemble card adding Textured Surfaces and vintage dictionary print on base card.

Tie ribbon around card with a bow, add flowers and leaves adhering them with Distress Collage Medium and foam tape.

Stamp message with Archival Ink cut close to words and add to Ornate Plate. Adhere Ornate Plate to card with foam tape over the Wood Plank.

Love the colors of the leaves that signify the changing of the season.

Thanks for stopping in!

Fall Pumpkin Card - Distress Spray Stains

Hello all! I'm very excited about my project today because as you might know Tim Holtz has just released 28 new Distress Spray Stains! I have to say after playing with them I'm totally in LOVE. I was a big fan of Color Wash so I wanted to see how they compared. Off to the studio to play.

I really love the way the Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stains dance on the surface of the paper, they are highly pigmented so you get vivid colors and the sprays have the same properties as Distress Ink which means they are reactive with water. The new Distress Spray Stains work with Layering Stencils, direct to paper, in conjunction with Texture Paste, you can make a smooth background or a dotted background, color ribbon….doesn't get much better that that!

Sit back relax and enjoy the fall project!

Rub on a few Remnant Rubs in various places on the Manila Cardstock. Spray the Distress Spray Stains directly on to cardstock, dry with a heat tool. Pick up extra ink from craft sheet, dry again with heat tool. Repeat as desired.

Position Layering Stencils and ink with Gathered Twigs Distress ink on an Ink Blending Tool.

Continue adding layers.

Die cut pieces using the Pumpkin Parts Bigz die from Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Spray the main pumpkin with Spiced Marmalade.

Color the segment pieces with Wild Honey and the stem with Vintage Photo.

Ink the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink on an Ink Blending Tool.

Build your pumpkin adhering the layers with Multi Medium and let dry.

Apply a generous layer of Clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint and set aside to dry. Once the Crackle Paint is dry ink the cracks with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink on an Ink Blending Tool.

Die cut two branches from Wallflower Vellum using the Spring Greenery Decorative Strip.

Color the branches with Crushed Olive, Spiced Marmalade and Peeled Paint Spray Stains, let dry.

Cut a base card and mat from Kraft'core Cardstock. Sand the edges with a Sanding Grip. Distress the edges with a Paper Distresser and then ink with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink on an Ink Blending Tool.

Here is another new favorite…the new Alphanumeric Thinlits…oh my! These are going to be soo fun! I chose the word "FALL", positioned it, held them in place with a piece of Tissue Tape and ran it through my Vagabond to die cut the letters. Oh the possibilities are endless! The Alphanumeric comes with 125 thinlits for around $20.00…now that's a bargain!

After I die cut the word "FALL" I did a little stitching with black thread on my sewing machine. Stitch under the word a few times and around the card.

Adhere all the layers together. Use foam tape to adhere the pumpkin. Adhere the little branch with Multi Medium. Add a few Chitchat words from the seasonal pack and don't forget to ink the edges.

Tie a bow at the top of the card with Jute String, attach a Countdown Coin with a Trinket Pin and a Jump Ring.

So much to love…Distress Spray Stains, Layering Stencils, Crackle Paint, Alphanumeric and…what will be your next favorite??

Thanks for coming by, I'm so thankful you did!
