VS release April

There is a new stamp release party tonight over on the Verve Forum at SCS and Julee issued this challenge earlier this week.  Three sketches and one colour challenge.  You can win the new release!  I hope that random integer thingy picks me!  Here goes!

I had fun stamping these little sheep from
Rubbernecker stamps new Easter inchies set
I stamped my image in chocolate chip craft ink on the dp and embossed.  Cut it out and mounted on an ivory linen and then baja blue swiss dotted and then close to coca.  The little sheep were coloured with a beige copic and then vanilla craft ink with a blender pen. The  blue dotted dp is from Chloe's closet and the striped is from SU.

Love these rich colours together, and I must say,
I think it has become one of my favourite colour
combos. I used dew drops for the centers of the
flowers and for the trio on the bottom right hand
corner of the image panel. I so love this Verve Floral Symphony set!
I used my MS lace punch and new EK pierced scalloped punch

I can't wait for tonight to see what new sets will be available!

Potted Impatiens

Julee from Verve is having a release party tonight.  If you haven't seen the previews, take a peek at the Verve blog.  Looks like some really beautiful stamp sets are on the way.  This is a sketch that was posted yesterday to win a set.  I had fun making this card and it came together very easily.  I first chose my image and then went to my new BasicGrey Pocelain dp & removed a few pages.

So easy to get a card together with these 6 X 6 paper pads.  I stamped my image in Memento tuxedo black right onto the dp and coloured with Copics.  I am a newbie when it comes to using these that I just bought last week (the pastels set) so it had to be real simple colouring, as you can see.  I stamped the bees from the same set onto velum and coloured theses too with a Copic and also applied pearl white Lumiaire to the wings.  I cut out the potted image and mounted onto a square of the same sheet of Porcelain and then framed that with a square of the beautiful "zig zag" dp.  I also added towards the bottom of the card, some K & Co adhesive paper ribbon that I thought went well with this vintagey feel and then took a strip of the polka dotted Porcelain paper and made a scalloped edge to place over that.  That's it.  Thanks for taking a peek!
