Once Upon A Lifetime Tags and Door Hangers with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends! Irit here!

I decided to use BoBunny's new and gorgeous collection Once upon a Lifetime for two similar vintage style door hangers.

Actually it can be used as tags, door hangers or vine bottle embellishments too.

Cherish the past door hangers!

Both hangers were made in the same mixed media way. First, I hand/die cut them from a thick recycled chipboard. Then I made a cardstock layer and glued it with the Sticky Thumb glue runner. Next, I covered them with a thick layer of crackle paste using the BoBunny stencils. Then, when dry, they were misted a bit to get this vintage look. Both front embellishment circles were made in the same way. I layered cardstock, stickers, and more cardstock over one large die cut circle.

On this hanger I used BoBunny tags die to make a tag and then die cut two crowns for the upper layer.
Both crowns were heat embossed with gold powder.

On the second hanger I added one more die cut layer (a clock) and heat embossed the die cut key and a key hole with copper embossing powder.

This is the fine example of this versatile collection. A bit of mediums make it very grungy and vintage and you can make any mixed media project using parts of this collection.

One last look at both tags:

Party time with Felicity!

Hello Everyone!

It's Denise here today to share some fun and party items, using the Felicity Collection and Pentart Acrylic paints.

Party Items by Denise van Deventer using the BoBunny Felicity Collection and Pentart Acrylic Paint

I created a banner, using the fabulous BoBunny party goodies and then also created some gift boxes and decorative flowers.

These little gift boxes are great for small gifts and can even be used for little "Thank You" gifts.

You can see the handmade flowers too and these were made from BoBunny cardstock. They are going to be used on other projects, but are great for now as decorative pieces.

Here's another angle of the little gift box and it's pretty bow.

I used Pentart acrylic primer and paint to paint the banner backgrounds.  I then layered up doilies, die-cuts and various little goodies to create each piece.

I used some Pearlescents to add add another layer of interest.

1 Layout 3 Ways With Firecracker!

Hello Everyone

It's Denise here today, to share 1 layout, 3 different ways.

Mixed Media Layout by Denise van Deventer using BoBunny Firecracker and Pearlescents and Washi Tape

The first page, has a fairly clean design to it.  I did some gesso stenciling, some water colouring and stamping, along with some washi tape bits and a few accents.

On the second page, I added some die-cuts and added highlights with a white gel pen. The addition of the red die-cut pieces, just seemed to make the page pop.

On the last page, I added yet more stamping, stenciling with pearlescents and more accents, along with some journaling.

I guess the key to styling, is sometimes knowing when to stop and that "enough is enough".

Here are some close-ups of the clusters and details.

This photo was taken a few years back and is of my son, who was playing around with these sunglasses.  He was trying to look very cool and then eventually the sunglasses did not sit correctly over his nose and so I got this cute shot! ;-)

Whatever your style, that's the great thing about scrap booking, you can add as little or as much as you want.  It's all up to you! ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by the BoBunny blog today.  We hope to see you back soon.

Beautiful Life Layout With Soiree!

Beautiful Life Scrapbook Page by Rhonda Van Ginkel

Beautiful Life Scrapbook Page featuring Soiree collection by BoBunny with Whisper and French Vanilla DoubleDot designed by Rhonda Van Ginkel

My page for you today features the brand new Soiree collection and also our new French Vanilla Double Dot used in my border die cuts and the new Whisper Double Dot as part of my photo mat.

Photo story here... my sweet boys were playing in the local craft store when I was shopping for a paper holder for my new BoBunny goodies. When I turned around, this was what they had done to entertain themselves.

Beautiful Life Scrapbook Page featuring Soiree collection by BoBunny with Whisper and French Vanilla DoubleDot designed by Rhonda Van Ginkel

I started this page by choosing the Boutique paper that coordinated with my photo colors. For a soft and pretty feel, I brushed Pearlescents in Chocolate, Blush and Island Mist along the border using a brush. Next I used a bit of water on my finger and moistened the edges and worked them all the way around the border creating an aged appearance.

Next, I used the Stickable Stencils with Glitter Paste and Molding Paste and let dry, then sprinkled drops of Glimmer Spray

You will see a few of our new dies used on the page the Ornate Doilies layered under the right side of my photo along with Branch Out and the Love Squared on top.

Utilizing your Bo Bunny Die-cuts

We all love die cuts, especially Bo Bunny Die Cuts! They add shape, motion and interest to almost any layout or project. Today Bo Bunny's designers are showcasing their projects created with a variety of Bo Bunny examples and creative ideas to help you utilize your Bo Bunny Die Cuts.

The first layout was created by Chistiane MullerChristiane used the die cut from the Zoology collection and mixed it with 3 other collections to create this gorgeous layout. Chistiane's panoramic photos also give you the feeling of motion and the title gives the impression of movement.

Patterned Paper: Timepiece,Gabrielle Cameo
Die Cuts: Zoology Die Cut Paper
Stickers: Learning Curve Combo Stickers, Zoology Combo Stickers, Gabrielle Dimensional Stickers, Timepiece Dimensional Stickers
Noteworthy: Timepiece
Jewels: Zoology Jewels
Trinkets: Timepiece Trinkets
Next up is the ever talented Irene Tan.  Irene's layout was created using the Liberty Independence Die Cut and the Cambridge Crown Die Cut .  This scalloped circular die cut will give motion to any layout.  The circular shape has your eye following the details around the layout until you've completed the circle and seen every detail. Again, Irene combined several different Bo Bunny collections and circular embellishments to add consistency, interest and variety to her layout and photo.
The details.
Irene weaved  Double Dot Ribbon through the Denim Rope Trim from the Learning Curve Collection to  create her own trim.  She embellished the end of the trim with one of the Trinkets from the Liberty Collection.  It's a great way to mix your favorite Bo Bunny collections and create a new way to use your trims.
Project Title:6, 7, 8, 9
Designer: Irene Tan
Bo Bunny Supply List:
Patterned Paper: Liberty
Stickers: Liberty Dimensional Stickers, Liberty Combo Sticker, Family Ties Card Stock Stickers
Noteworthy: Liberty
Brads:Liberty
Trim: Denim Rope trim, Double Dot Ribbon
Chipboard: Liberty Layered Chipboard

The next layout was created by Debbie Sherman and was also created with the Liberty Independence die cut. The statment of the photo and  layout is to remember that our freedom is not free.  The die cut and flourishes once again keeps your eye moving around the photo and layout in a circular motion.  It allows you to see the details while still keeping focus on the photo and the message.
Project Title:Land of the Free
Designer: Debbie Sherman
Bo Bunny Supply List:
Patterned Paper: Independence Die Cut, Stripe, Old Glory, Dot,
Stickers: Liberty Combo Stickers
Brads: Liberty

Jolanda Meurs created this layout entitled "My Star" as proof that you don't have to live in the USA to utilize the Liberty  Collection.  Jolanda says, "I wanted to show that the Liberty line is also great to use for other items than the 4 of July. We do not celebrate that in the Netherlands." She used the Liberty Independence Die Cut perfectly to highlight her little guy as her little star.  She used the chipboard star embellishments to keep the theme of the layout going. Again the eye is moving in  motion with the scalloped die cut and flouishes.

Cardstock: Double Dot in Licorice Dot, Coral and Blush Dot

And our final designer for today is Gabrielle Pollaco. Gabi used a die cut from the Mammarazi collection and combined it with Zoology! Bo Bunny does such a great job coordinating collections, past and present! The way Gabi overlaid the patchwork and photos on this keep your eyes moving from one photo to the next.
The embellishments are so cute and match up perfectly with her photo of the two sweet girls!
The jeweled centers on the flowers are the perfect added detail!
Project Title: Zoo
Designer: Gabrielle Pollaco
Bo Bunny Supply List:

Hope you enjoyed these layouts, they are great examples of how to use your favorite Bo Bunny die-cuts!!
