How to Tie a Bow Tie
Over the past couple of months I've been wearing a bow tie to work. I don't have a huge collection, but of the three I do have - it's been fun.
People are always asking me if they're clip-ons, and I'm like "Hell no, it took me for freaking ever to learn how to tie one!" LOL.
In either case, for those who are curious or want to learn - here's

Sexy Santa and the Andrew Christian Doll Factory
I don't know about you, but I want one of these dolls for Christmas. Andrew Christian, the famous underwear and swimwear maker, wanted to wish everyone a very happy holiday, so he released the following advertisement on December 9th. Let's just say Santa and his elves have been very, very busy.
Now, how do I go about purchasing one of these dolls??? Oh, I forgot. I have one of my very own already. :-)... Ryan.

Gaga The Fashionista! - The Sperm Hat
Oh Gaga. According to TMZ, Lady Gaga emerged from a London hotel on Wednesday wearing what appeared to be a hot pink sperm hat on her head. What will she think of next? With all due respect, she probably doesn't come up with these ridiculous outfits, she just promotes them. :-)
I'll let the Gaga fans correct me.

Madonna vs. Lady Gaga: The Many, Many Phases of Two Self-Defined Pop Sensations
Madonna and Lady Gaga: two shameless pop stars willing to try anything, no matter how abominable or shocking, to secure a seat at the top of the charts (and tabloids). Some say that Lady Gaga is merely a Madonna clone, while others sing her praises as a fashionista and a perfect example of a woman who refuses to be defined by anyone but herself. Whichever way you look at it, Madonna and Lady Gaga have gone through more phases and costume changes than most of us have had hot dinners. We revisit some of the most memorable.
Check out Madonna after the jump...

100 Years of Fashion, Dance and Music
To announce the grand opening of Westfield Stratford City, which will soon be “the largest urban shopping centre in Europe”, Westfield created this fun short film, 100 YEARS / STYLE / EAST LONDON. The film, directed by Jake Lunt with The Viral Factory, amazingly gives the run-down of 100 years of East London fashion, dance and music in just 100 seconds." via PSFK

Quoted - Lady Gaga
“When I was told I won this award, Anna Wintour sent me a text message. She text messages. So she sent me a text message, and it said, 'We’re so excited to tell you you won the CFDA Fashion Icon Award.' And I actually thought it was Anna Treblin, who was one of my very close friends and [my stylist] Nicola’s assistant. So I have a couple Annas in my phone, so my reply was, 'Yes, bitch, we did it.' So quite quickly I got a reply that said, 'How lovely, and we will all be waiting to see what you will wear.' And then I thought, 'Well won’t you be helping me choose what I will wear?' And then I said, 'Oh! It’s Anna Wintour.'" – Lady Gaga, as she accepted her Fashion Icon Award at Monday's CFDA Fashion Awards.
I guess it didn't matter that the Lady called Anna Wintour a bitch, since she's probably used to people calling her that already. LOL. Just sayin' :-)

Keeping It Old Skool - Issue No. 8 - Jelly Shoes
If you were not wearing these, you were not cool. Seriously people, what were you all thinking? Sometimes I revel in the idea that the 80's were the decade of the century, and it makes me proud knowing I was a part of it, but other times I'm caught having to re-examine my youth. LOL
Every girl had them, every mom loved them, and if you didn't have a pair, you threw away the chance of becoming a "Heather (I'll save that for another post)." In my humble opinion, I think they were a hit, because all the girls could afford them. It didn't matter if you were rich or poor, they were only a dollar. Why did girls wear them? I'm still trying to figure that one out, all they did was complain about them. They caused excessive sweating, blisters and even caused cuts on their feet; I have a younger sister, I know.
According to Wikipedia, the creator is unknown, believe me when I say this - I'm still trying to figure that one out too! But it was interesting to find out they were made of PVC plastic - the same plastic your plumbing is probably made of, except condensed. In either case, the shoes have come back in style, twice - once in the mid-1990's, and in 2003. Now you can have jellies in heels, jellies in sandals, jellies, jellies, jellies! And if you really want to join a fan club, you can "like" it's Facebook page here, i used to wear jelly shoes. No really, you can. Okay, I need to see a doctor after this post. Geezus!

Gaga The Fashionista!
As many of you already know, Lady Gaga is in London right now. Earlier this week she mentored the top 4 American Idol finalists, and she's rumored to perform at the show's finale in two weeks.
Yesterday morning she stepped out of her hotel in another one of her fabulous ensembles. What a fashionista! She's definitely living on the Edge of Glory.

Sue Ellen Ewing - Beautiful at 70
At 70, Linda Gray (Sue Ellen Ewing) looked absolutely fabulous in NYC Wednesday night. According to The Daily Mail she walked the runway along with many other celebrities at the Red Dress Collection Fashion Show.
For those who don't know much about it, Heart Disease kills a woman nearly every minute in this country and this show was meant to raise awareness for that reason; heart health. MD Anderson Cancer Center (where I work) also plan events and hand out Red Dress pins in support of this cause. Breast Cancer comes in 2nd to heart disease as the number one killer in women.

Linda Gray is preparing to make her big return to television, alongside Larry Hagman (JR Ewing) and Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing) in the new Dallas series. It is not a remake, the new series will follow the lives of JR and Bobby's sons, John Ross and Christopher Ewing.

Super hottie Josh Henderson will be playing the role of John Ross Ewing while Jessie Metcalfe will be playing the role Christopher Ewing. The beautiful Jordana Brewster, Ghost Whisperer Jennifer Love-Hewitt, and Lost actor Josh Holloway are all expected to join the cast as well. I truly cannot wait!

Fashion Icon, Georgio Armani is Gaga for Gaga: Always has been.
I wanted to share this article by Robin Givhan for the fans of Gaga.
'Armani, the unlikeliest designer to be jolted by Gaga juice, discovered her in the most mundane way: He saw her perform at the American Music Awards a little more than a year ago. “I was struck by her extraordinary talent for writing music and her mastery of her own voice,” the designer says. And he was enamored by how she’d “deliberately created a totally outlandish personality.”
Most celebrities come to Armani seeking salvation from their tasteless ways. But Gaga did not genuflect. She inspired the designer to craft a brilliant silver minidress with a lightning-bolt head ornament. He made a black leather bodysuit for her “Alejandro” video. He stocked a wardrobe trunk for her current tour. She even induced him to create a green spangled leotard with shoulders like Mickey Mouse ears. Armani was clearly intoxicated by Gaga. And that last look was the fashion equivalent of drunk dialing.
“No other artist would give me the opportunity to devise such original and way-out creations,” Armani explains. “Lady Gaga’s costumes are a pure creativity exercise that allows me to design spectacular, almost surreal pieces.”'
