Obama Takes Over The Colbert Report
Last night, President Obama kicked Stephen Colbert off his chair just as he was about to give his segment of "The Word". It was pretty fun to watch.

North Texas, South Texas, East Texas, West Texas and Austin
LOL...North Texas, South Texas, East Texas, West Texas and Austin. We
would then move to the free state of Austin. I always love his videos. I'm referring to my partner, Peter's recent posting of "Can Texas Secede From The Union?" The video was so smart and hilarious.
The great news is that the people that are moving are coming from more expensive and liberal states, and they are not ashamed to bring their views with them. This state can only be the crazy conservative state for so long before its' changing population starts voting the other way, turning the state blue. It will happen. If things like gay marriage and immigration rights are no longer a party issue then it won't be too long before the conservative religious parts of the republican party just stop voting, as they're threatening to do now. Once that happens, along with cultural changes and time, Texas will be a thriving liberal state and Rick Perry will be a relic from the past. We will party when that day arrives.
I cannot wait. Texas will not be its' own country. It's heading in the complete opposite direction to one day be just like the other large, liberal states in our country, and there's nothing that these conservatives can do about it except move. Problem is that the only countries that still share their views are third worlds parts of Africa and the middle east, and last time I checked most bible belt religious fanatics don't really like black or brown people. They could build a space ship and colonize another planet in their conservative image, but that would mean they'd have to believe in science first to actually accomplish such a feat.
The only option I could think of left would be if God himself came down and brought them all up to heaven, which I'm sure they're all hoping for. Only, last time I checked, God didn't approve of haters. Tough luck people. Sucks to be you. Your time has past and our victory is nigh! Someone hit the play button to Kool and the Gang's "Celebration" already.

1331 Days Until the 2016 Presidential Election
I know all of you are expecting Hillary Clinton to run in 2016, so don't get too excited over this. Well, my liberal friends at least.
Yes, Hillary will run. Why wouldn't she? She's been the most popular and most admired woman in America for over 20 years, and according to Gallup the most popular woman in the world. So when anyone ever asks me, "Peter, do you think she's running?" I most emphatically say yes.
Take for instance, the fact she's created a new website called HillaryClintonOffice.com. Sure it's nothing more than just a picture of herself and a large button that says "Contact", but it sure leaves one to question the "office" in the web address. Things that make you go hmmm... LOL.
Then there's the fact that she has transferred the balance of her campaign funds to the Friends of Hillary organization.
Or if you just want to go to HillaryClinton.com, you can click on the link "Click here to reach the Office of Hillary Clinton." and you will go straight to her Hillary Clinton Office once again.
Let's just say she doesn't really have to do a thing, as super PACs have started forming in anticipation of her 2016 run.
I, for one, am excited. And provided she's in good health, will be ready to make history as our nation's first woman President.

Hillary Clinton: The Most Powerful Woman in American Politics
"...she has been one of the most remarkable Americans of our time. In the 20
years she’s been on the stage, the country has gone from wondering
whether women could handle the toughest jobs to knowing they can. That
is a huge cultural change—barriers that were a given for most people a
generation ago are just completely socially unacceptable now, and
thousands more women know they can aim for the top. No one is more
responsible for that change than Hillary Clinton."

Worse Today, Than Yesterday
Yeah, everything is looking worse today than yesterday. Everything!
The White House hasn’t been shy to point out that government and taxes as a share of the economy have shrunk under Obama. The big question is: For whom is that fact most inconvenient? Read more.

The Venn of Ron Paul and Other Mysteries of Libertarianism Explained
I'm posting this blog for those few people who were wishing Ron Paul would have won the nomination for the 3rd or 4th time. Who knows - I lost count. Paul has run out of money and is suspending his campaign like the fools before him, Gingrich and Santorum. He calls it "stop campaigning - not dropping out". Tomato/Tomato - we've heard it before.
"Congressman Ron Paul's third-place finish in Tuesday's Iowa Republican Caucus was a remarkably strong showing for a candidate who has so little in common with mainstream Republicans. Perhaps the nation's most politically unique congressman, Paul shares policy stances with conservatives, liberals, and libertarians, while differing markedly from all of them." - By Josh Harkinson

So where does Paul fit in the Libertarian universe?

Movies to Watch - Game Change [Premieres this Saturday on HBO]
"One of the most memorable moments of Election Night in 2008 came when Sarah Palin joined John McCain after his concession speech. As she walked onto the platform Palin looked visibly angry, not someone resigned to a loss but someone still ripe for a fight. Apparently the reality of the situation had yet to sink in and Palin was still in campaign (i.e. pit bull) mode. What prompted her anger was later revealed by political journalists John Heilemann and Mark Halperin in their best-seller "Game Change" and acts as the climax to the HBO movie based on the book that premieres this weekend. And, yes, she was pissed." [edge]
People who have already seen this movie are raving about it, but it doesn't come without the backlash from the folks on the right - the Reds. To put it in simple terms, instead of people placing aside their political differences when watching this film, there's the pre-conceived notion that Hollywood was being biased in the making of this film.
Well, I kinda have to agree with that; Where's the first part of the book by Halperin and Heilemann? You know - the part where Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were at each other's throats? But place this aside for the moment, because we all know that a majority of the REDs would agree that Palin wasn't fit to handle the job. And even more were weary of her becoming President if something would have happened to John McCain. But going back to the book the film is based on - more than 300 people were interviewed who were involved in the McCain/Palin campaign, so it begs the question, how could it be false if all these people were involved in the campaign?
Watch the trailer, it's definitely is an award-winning film and makes for must-see-TV. It's definitely something Ryan and I will be watching this Saturday night on HBO - 8PM Central

The Marketplace Works
Isn't it lovely that a minority of American's know how the marketplace works? It's very simple, the free market allows the farmer to grow his apples who sets the price at .50 cents and then sells them to the consumer (you and I). Same thing goes for the orange farmer, who grows them, and he sells them to us for .75 cents. So simple, right?
And it's just that simple with gasoline... NOT! Keep in mind that the United States is not part of OPEC which sets the price on oil.

Obama is back! Thank you Mr. President - We've Missed You!
Now, this is what I'm talking about. I was watching Rachel Maddow last night and I saw this clip of President Obama speaking to the same auto workers the REDs ignored and wanted to fail. And he let them REDs have it. What an excellent, excellent video. A definite must watch for those who don't believe in this man. OMG, this video was excellent!!!
As I'm sure most of you know, The REDs have been having a field day bringing up social issues because the economy is getting better. They're hating on us Gays, hating on women's rights, and saying the President is a "Snob" for promoting higher education (college) for our kids. And as you know, they were not in support of saving thousands of jobs (people's jobs) in the Auto Industry, they wanted them to fail. Well, the president made a mockery of it. And rightly so, because everything he said in this video is absolutely true!

Why Does The Military Love Ron Paul?
Think most military service members are donating to Mitt Romney, New Gingrich, and Rick Santorum? Think again, they're giving their money to Ron Paul. And why, you ask? I imagine service members are tired of fighting endless wars. Or maybe it has something to do with coming back home to no jobs? Democrats say cut defense spending, Republicans scream back, "you're a terrorist". Seriously?
The 2012 presidential race tells a different story: The lion's share of political contributions by servicemembers and defense industry workers is going to anti-war, "soft on Israel," also-ran candidate Ron Paul. In fact, the battle for their dollars isn't even close: Paul has raised at least $282,868 from individual active-duty servicemembers and Pentagon employees—more than four times what the other three Republican presidential candidates have raised, combined. (President Obama has fared slightly better, drawing $123,644 from that group, but still less than half of Paul's total. Full Story Here.

If You're a Republican, This Woman is Who You Should Aspire To Be
I must have seen this video a hundred times already, at least it feels like I have.. I watch and listen to the words this honorable Republican had to say, because yes, there are honorable ones believe it or not, and it brings me to tears each and every time. Maureen Walsh was married to the same man for 23 years and she loved him more than anything, but it was what she said to her fellow Republicans and Democrats about her life, that makes this unmistakably the "video of the year" so far.
It's taken me a while to blog about this, because my life with Ryan is so damn important to me. My life, not yours. I mean, what is it going to take for you zealots to realize that Jesus, The Father, and The Holy Spirit will "judge" you for the hateful, judgmental and condemning group of people that's ever existed on this planet? Please watch this, and convince me you can be a Republican with a heart and a conscience.

Obama Sign Thief
I'm not sure if I ever shared this story with my BLADE 7184 readers, but now is as good a time as any. My friend Guillermo text me last night, and sent me this lovely picture. LOL.
The Reason for my laughter is because in 2008, when Barack Obama was running for President, Ryan and I posted 2 Obama signs on our yard. In the middle of the night someone stole them, destroyed them or whatever the hell they did with them. Needless to say, I was pissed! Yeah, yeah, they're just signs, but it was our yard and our property.
I went on Ebay and bought 100 or so in a package and for the next several weeks, every time a sign was stolen, I'd place a new one on the yard the next day. It was getting so ridiculous that the moment we left for work, they disappeared.
So one night I hid in my car with a video camera and watched as a car slowly drove by. A passenger (who of course happened to be white - probably a teabagger) started to creep out of the car, when they spotted me. They quickly made the corner and sped off.
Let's just say, our signs were never stolen again. That was four years ago, now it's 2012 and the Tea Party has dwindled away. Maybe there's hope yet. LOL.

Pap Smears at Walgreens? Oh Republicans, You're Too Funny!
Sometimes we just want to know the truth, and Stephen Colbert does a damn good job of doing just that. Last year, Republican Senator John Kyl of Arizona stood before congress and stated that "90 percent" of Planned Parenthood's services were abortions, which is simply not the case. I already knew that, because of the following chart that was released the morning after Susan G. Komen cut funding to Planned Parenthood.
When Senator Kyl was confronted about the huge lie he said it "was not intended to be a factual statement." Yeah, that's usually the case with all Republicans. Jesus. Oh, and btw why not get your pap smears done at your local Walgreens?
Watch as Colbert quickly pounces on him - it's absolutely hilarious.
