October Events

The second weekend in October we spent the weekend up in Idaho with A's family. We left Wednesday right after work and spent the night at his sister Alison's place in Rexburg. Thursday morning we went and did a session at the Rexburg temple. It is a gorgeous temple!
Thursday afternoon we made the drive up to Driggs to the cabin that his parents had rented for the weekend. It was a beautiful cabin, and you can't beat the view! This is what you saw when you walked out the front door of the cabin. Stunning!
Friday, the girls hung around the cabin and crafted, while the boys went for a longer-than-expected hike. I painted my toe nails and all three nieces decided they wanted their fingernails painted. Here are Liza's pretty hands.
On Saturday we went over to Jackson Hole and walked around a little bit. Of course there were a PLETHORA of pictures taken! Here is my favorite of us:
Thank you Hind family for a wonderful weekend!!!

Since we had a couple Halloween parties to attend this year, I decided we needed to dress up at least a little. So I found this idea on the internet and thought it suited us perfectly:
Do ya get it? Queen Bee and Worker Bee!!!

The Monday before Halloween we got together with a bunch of families that A grew up with. It was a great party and so much fun to see everyone.

I leave you with the Lovely Liza LadyBug!

Our Easter Weekend

This past weekend was wonderful! It was relaxing and lots of fun! We have decided that we most likely will not have the time or the financial resources to take a "real" vacation this summer. Instead we have decided to have a summer full of "stay-cationing" (stay-cationing: vacationing close to home). As part of our summer stay-cation we have also made a goal to visit every temple in Utah. To kick of the temple portion of our stay-cation we did sealings in the Draper temple Saturday morning. It was only the second Saturday that they had been open and things were a little crazy, but it was a great experience.
After the temple, we continued south to Anthony's sister's house for the Hind Easter festivities. These festivities included a VERY yummy ham dinner with all the fixins. Then of course we had an easter egg hunt. Egg hunts are always more fun with kids.
Liza definitely knew what was going on!
Anthony and I with our spoils! mmmm....Easter chocolate!
Then it was outside for a quick picture.
Mischievous little girl! When we all went to go inside after pictures, Shae and Audrey ran inside and Audrey locked us out. I love the smirk on her face!
Since we had celebrated the "egg" part of Easter on Saturday, Anthony and I decided to have a laid back "us" day on Sunday. It was a GORGEOUS sunny day so we went for a two hour walk and found this cute little park.
On our way home from our walk (we drove to another neighborhood to walk around in) we were behind this car and it just made me laugh. Can someone please enlighten me as to what a plumbing & heating company has in common with astrology and hypnotism?

So all in all it was a fun filled, yet relaxing weekend.
