THE ACLU ADVISES MOSLEMS

Not a surprise, of course.

Excerpt from this article in the LA Times:
May 29, 2008

A report that mosques in Los Angeles and San Diego are under federal surveillance has resurrected fears in the Muslim community about government monitoring and led two civil rights groups Wednesday to call for congressional hearings.

[...]

Corey Saylor, Washington spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said the article in the San Diego Union-Tribune "has again raised concerns that our community is being watched."

[...]

ACLU lawyers regularly go to mosques to advise worshipers that they do not have to answer questions from FBI agents about how long they have been in the United States, how often they attend services and what they get out of the sermons...
How many jihadomaniacs are hiding behind the ACLU's lawyers?

ACLU: "IN SOCIALISM AND ATHEISM WE TRUST!"

STACLU:

Just in case people have forgotten, “In God We Trust” is the National motto. Of course, when it comes to the public schools…political correctness trumps patriotism everytime. Especially if the patriotism mentions a non-specific deity!

The Kern High School District is expecting a big turnout at its meeting tonight when trustees are expected to vote on whether posters carrying the phrase: “In God We Trust” should be posted in classrooms along with the constitution and the bill of rights.

The idea was presented by trustee Chad Vegas who claims the plan promotes patriotism at schools, but some say, the phrase pushes religion into public schools.

Two members, on the five person board, have said they do not support the proposal. Board member Bryan Batey says his “no” vote would defeat trustee Chad Vegas’ effort to post the national motto, along with the bill of rights and the constitution in all classrooms.

The KHSD Board will meet at 7 p.m. at 5801 Sundale Avenue in Bakersfield. The district is making accomodations for a big turnout before the trustees vote on the issue.

The latest stupid PC battle where the mere mention of an unspecified diety sends red flags waving for liberals and white flags waving for the weak minded! Sad that a little patriotism causes such a ruckus! Geez! Mention God and its a huge debate! But college credit for burning a flag??? Now that is true patriotism. The liberals are so backwards.

THE ACLU'S NEW VIDEO: BEDWETTERS AMONG US

Lefty blogger Right Wing Snarkle likes to refer to my site as Paranoid Bedwetter. The impetus for this half-hearted attempt at satire was the recent post Unintended Consequences, a tale of a dirty bomb inspired by, of all things, a New York Times op-ed.

No, John Stephenson at STACLU has identified the real bedwetters: the ACLU's video production company. The evidence? Their recent propaganda rap Monster among us.

The tune isn't quite as fetching as the Chronicles of Narnia rap, but what it lacks in melody it makes up for in sheer, mind-numbing paranoia. My advice to the ACLU: change the sheets and have Mommy tuck you in tonight.

A STOP-THE-ACLU BLOGBURST: How the ACLU and International Law Threatens Our Sovereignty

JOHN OF STOP THE ACLU - EXCERPT:
Kender inspired this post. He wanted to write the blogburst, but his rant inspired me and I wanted to add more. So, I'm gonna use Kender's quotes throughout.
It seems a German citizen claimed that the CIA abducted him, drugged him and sent him to a prison in a third world country where he was tortured and finally released on a hilltop in another country in a case of mistaken identity.

The Supreme Court yesterday dismissed the case without comment after the Bush Administration said that if the case were not dismissed it would threaten state secrets.

What I want to know is WHY a group that calls itself the AMERICAN Civil Liberties Union is so concerned with the civil liberties of a German citizen. The last time I checked our civil liberties did not apply to the citizens of other countries, and the ACLU is not the arbiter of international law.
Last March, the ACLU went crying to the U.N. about how 'evil' the U.S. is.
The American Civil Liberties Union and the U.S. Human Rights Network today urged the U.N. Human Rights Committee to hold the U.S. government accountable for flagrant and repeated violations of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR).

"Locally, nationally and globally, the United States has repeatedly failed in its responsibility to uphold basic human rights," said Ann Beeson, Associate Legal Director of the ACLU. "We are appealing to the international arbiters to hold the U.S. accountable to basic human rights standards."
As sickening as this is; it is only one step in the ACLU's agenda to undermine America's sovereignty and freedom that so many soldiers have sacrificed and died to preserve. The ACLU are obviously frustrated by their inability to advance their radical agenda more quickly under the U.S. Constitution, and are now determined not only to convince the American judiciary to look to international law, but also to use it as a means to their ends. They hold it as a higher authority than our own Constitution and are more than willing to sacrifice our sovereignty in their pursuit to radically force change on America to fit their own radical views.

The sad thing is that they don't have to try very hard to convince our judiciary. While they lost ground in the case above, they win enough to make it scary. Last year, former ACLU lawyer, and current Supreme Court Justice, Ruth "Snoozer" Ginsburg gave a speech that argued explicitly for the relevance of foreign law and court decisions to interpretation of the American Constitution. She isn't the only Justice that buys into this philosophy. FIVE Justices believe that international law should bear weight in interpreting our constitution.

The ACLU don't hide this agenda, they are proud of it.

LAWYERING UP GITMO: HOW THE LEFT IS SCREWING UP OUR WAR EFFORT COMING & GOING

NYTIMES: Judge Halts Transfer of Guantanamo Detainee
A federal judge has barred the Bush administration from sending a Guantánamo detainee to his home country, where he claims he would face torture.

The judge, Gladys Kessler of United States District Court for the District of Columbia, issued an injunction prohibiting the planned transfer of the detainee to Tunisia, which has been criticized by American and international officials for human rights abuses.

Saying that the detainee, Mohammed Rahman, claimed that such a transfer would amount to a death sentence, Judge Kessler said “it would be a profound miscarriage of justice” if she allowed the government to send him to Tunisia.

“At that point, the damage would have been done,” she wrote, adding that Mr. Rahman faced a 20-year sentence after a conviction at a terrorism trial the Tunisian government held while he was at Guantánamo.

Advocates for detainees and human rights groups said the ruling was an important development in the legal battle over Guantánamo. They said it could reshape what have been frequent legal conflicts over administration plans to send detainees to countries where they say they face torture or mistreatment.

  • THE LEFT WON'T LET US KEEP THEM IN GITMO AND THEY WON'T LET US SHIP 'EM OUT.
  • ALL THEY REALLY WANTS TO DO IS TIE US UP IN KNOTS AND LET THE JIHADO-TERRORISTS OFF SCOT FREE.
  • SEEMS TO ME WE OUGHTTA BE ALLOWED TO SHIP BAD PEOPLE HOME.

AND JUST WHO IS THIS JUDGE KESSLER!? GLAD YOU ASKED; WIKI:
"Gladys Kessler is an United States District Court Judge for the District of Columbia.[1] She was nominated to the court by President Clinton, a Democrat, and is known as one of the most liberal judges in the D.D.C."

DO THE GITMO PRISONERS DESERVE ANYTHING?

The Geneva Convention is NOT international law; it is a TREATY which ONLY applies to SIGNATORIES.

To gain certain rights for its POWS a signatory must guarantee the same rights for all POWS of other SIGNATORIES.

These rights are limited to POWS, and POWS are defined as UNIFORMED fighters.

Non-uniformed fighters from third-party nations are NOT covered by Geneva -- no matter what the liberals on the SCOTUS might say.

But NO SANE SUPPORTER of Geneva could RATIONALLY argue that NON-UNIFORMED FOREIGN FIGHTERS FROM THIRD-PARTY NATIONS ARE ENTITLED TO MORE RIGHTS THAN POWS.

But this is EXACTLY what they argue.

After all. POWS are NOT given attorney's or the right to sue their captors in court. They are held until the cessation of hostilities.

SO... WHY GIVE ENEMY COMBATANTS (non-uniformed third-party fighters who are NOT covered by Geneva) MORE RIGHTS THAN POWS!?!?!?!?

It makes no freakin' sense. ZERO. Bupkuss. Zilch.

But it's exactly what the Left has successfully argued.

It sickens me.

Especially since these foreign fighters obey NO RULES OF WAR THEMSELVES.

All this effort (to give these enemy combatants MORE rights than POWS) does is HELP THE ENEMY.

Those who underwrite and undertake these efforts are traitors.

Traitors not only of the USA, but CIVILIZATION.
