She's Coming!

My dear Friend Brit, days late, is ready to have her baby girl. I am so excited for you - I am sure we will have baby pictures in a matter of hours!!! Push Brit Push!!!

***SHE ARRIVED: "We had Tylee at 11:48pm and she weighed 7lbs 6oz. She is 19 1/2 inches long and is the most aware baby."

Tummy Time

I hate giving my children tummy time because they seem so uncomfortable. This really is a disservice to them because I know they need it. Luckily for me, Jackson has made this time much easier on me. This last week he has spent this time with Ryan and this last week we have noticed a huge difference in Ryan's strength!

I Took the Weekend Off

Finally someone else had a camera!! My sons photo shoots may have ruined my camera and so I was so grateful Shay recently purchased one of her own. I guess I was so grateful, I became incredible lazy this weekend.

It all began Thursday night when I headed out to Long Beach Airport to pick up Shay and Paige. They came down for Wes' benefit and we were all so excited. But before I go into all that - details on the benefit. Tori did an amazing job pulling this thing off!! She organized sponsors and entertainment all the earn money for the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association on Wes' behalf. People were very supportive and it was yet again, another emotional event.

But it was wonderful to have another excuse to hang out with my sister-in-law's ... or how ever you say it. So Thursday night we were so pumped I decided we should head to the beach - yes at 9:30pm, we went to the beach in Hawthorne. Andrew wasn't too thrilled about this because it probably wasn't the safest idea, but man was it a blast. Here, if I had the pictures from Shay, I would show you just how exhilarating it was... but you will have to wait to see those! It involved posing, nudity, uncomfortable sand, and many many laughs - but don't worry, pictures will be appropriate for all to view. Once we got back to my place we watched SYTYCD - LOVE IT! So this was the first of four nights with very little sleep.

The next morning Shay, Paige, Jackson, Ryan and I ventured off to aerobics. Now I do have a video to post, but I think I will get permission before I do that! We worked so hard, we decided to reward ourselves with a nice swim afterwards. That night we headed to one of our fav's - Light N Healthy - SUSHI!!!! Then Andrew, Ryan, Jackson and I spent the night at the Anderson's. I think this night I made it to bed by midnight.

As Andrew put it, it was really cool watching the bond Ryan Wesley and Paige have!

Jackson was IN LOVE with the live music!

Saturday was the benefit so needless to say, most of the day consisted of preparation. It too was a late night, but it was all worth it. It was sad when Sunday came because after Sacrament, we headed to Acton to pick up the girls. They came back to our place to swim and eat for a bit, and then we were off back to Long Beach.

Once I get pictures from Shay, I will post again - until then...

40%

Yes they offered me my 40% status at Agoura High and I am so excited about that. BUT as I sit here and make the babysitting schedule for our parents, I am a wee bit nervous. I haven't worked since two days before Ryan was born, so it's weird to think about going back. But like last year, I will leave around 10am and return HOPEFULLY by 3:30pm every OTHER day! So the question is, can they handle THREE kids???
*Oh and a side note - my son has been obsessed with my shoes again... I thought he got that over with, I guess not.

Movie Night

Last night Jackson found his beloved Little People DVD. Because Jackson became interested in television during the time we lived at Second St. and had no T.V., he watched a lot of Little People. He used it all the time and so it has some major wear and tear as he found out last night trying to watch it - it got to the point where the skipping wasn't going to be tolerated. So Jackson opted to turn it off and find another DVD.

As he was putting a new DVD into the player, he said we were going to watch "Happy Father". We were a little confused until the movie started playing... turns out he was referring to Heavenly Father. It was interesting to see him sit there and watch the movie we had been using for FHE and to hear him recall it in his own language. It's one of my favorite movies so there was no complaint from me.

12 WEEKS

And still tired :( I was hoping I would feel better by now... we will see.
"The most dramatic development this week: Reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over two inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce" (babycenter.com).

Even Marshmallows Turn Brown

Tahiti Village called and offered us a free room for the weekend, two $50 gas cards, a $50 card to a steak house (that we didn't end up using), and free poolside drinks - how could we turn down that offer?? DAY TWO (Day one was unexpected late travel) - the 4th of July!

At the start of the day, Jackson was an amateur - once Andrew and I got back from a two hour meeting, grandma had turned him into a pro. He swam like such a fish the rest of the time.

Because Ryan is now a swimmer but not yet six months of age, we try to shade him instead of using sunscreen.
I was prepared just in case we weren't going to be able to cover him enough - but we did.

Ryan loves to hear Abuelita sing and talk to him in Spanish, it calms him down so easily!
This was Jackson's bed - so cozy in the closet!!
DAY THREE - golf & swimming & horseies (J's word for it)
My boys are wondering where I am going and yet Andrew has no clue anything has changed.
We eat here every trip we make to Vegas - LOVE IT.
This was Jackson's first time on a carousel - HE LOVED IT!
See like I told you - a pro... he now swims on his own - well maybe floats on his own

Whoops - head dive

My mom bought Jackson this little chair at Target - $7 for all you mom's out there!! Jackson loved making his own little spot for dinner.
DAY FOUR - swimming & driving home
Can you tell the boys were beat?

We had to take Jackson to the "horseies" one more time.

It was a much needed vacation and it was perfect. I wish the boys took the camera on their 113 degree golf trip, but what can you do? Last night it took 5 hrs. and 45min. to get home instead of 3.5 - apparently we weren't the only ones with the bright idea of go to Vegas for the weekend :( We hope you all enjoy yours as well!
*Oh and my title - that's Andrew's comeback to my mom when she made fun of him for laying out in the sun being a white boy and all.

He Will Never Live It Down

Jackson threw mommy's phone into the pool the other night and now the screen does not display a single thing. This is especially frustrating when people send text messages and I have no clue what they say (so keep that in mind when you go into labor Brit!). Hopefully my brother's old phone will do, we will see.

In other news, we are off to Vegas for the 4th - hope you all have fun and be safe!!

Two Changes!

NUMBER ONE: He actually enjoyed the pool last night - I am so excited about this one because we will be in Vegas this weekend and I much rather him be in the pool than dying of heat in the stroller! NUMBER TWO: Ok so this picture isn't related, but I don't have one for number two, and I love this picture.... he is now eating and loving solids!! Diapers aren't as fun anymore, but the food part is!
And no this isn't Ryan, but today Jackson decided to setp it up a notch in helping me unload the dishwasher. So the silverware is now my responsibilty again and everything else, is his. Don't worry, I cleaned the counter once he got off it.
