Use a die

Good morning and happy
We have a new challenge over at the Digi Choosday blog. As always for you it is anything goes, but the design team have the challenge of  "use a die" so here is my make. Beware there are lots and lots of photos, so you may need a cuppa before you look at them all.
This started out as a plain MDF kit I got at Crafting Live last year.

I just love this so much. I really didn't want to put it away after Christmas.
I used some papers from the Octavia Frosted Winter Collection. I added some modelling paste and gesso around the edges and in random places to look a little bit like snow. I then used a bronze gilding wax around the edges. So I got really, really messy making this, which I just love! I cut all the die cuts out with Centura Pearl card. I bought some really cheap Christmas decorations from poundstretcher and pulled them all apart to add bits here and there. I also added some polystyrene snowballs. I even made the candle ring in the centre of the sleigh. I glittered up some pine cones, used some hessian/burlap type ribbon and some die cuts, and attached them all to a wired fern sprig.  On the arrangement I made for the side of the sleigh I also used some of that silver fine tinsel that you hang from Christmas trees. The dies I used are all from Polkadoodles and they are: Super Sprigs, the flower from the Bubbleicious Frames set, and the foliage die from the Birdhouse Doublet die set. Check out all the rest of the dies from Polkadoodles HERE.

Romance

Good morning and happy
We have a new challenge over at the Digi Choosday blog. As always for you it is anything goes, but the design team have the challenge of "romance"
When I heard this challenge I immediately thought of using the Lily Love Bug collection, and a wooden heart I got in the sales last year. So here is my make.
I printed the image and the embellies on glossy photo paper to make then more durable and to make them pop more. I printed the papers onto Ultimate Graphic paper. I also use the fab new toadstool border die from Polkadoodles. I added some red distress ink and a black faux stitching line around the edges.

Anything Goes

Good morning and Happy
It's time for a new challenge from us at Digi Choosday, and it's the last challenge of the year for us before we break up for the year. Where has this year gone? I'm sure the older I get the faster the years fly by!
Anyhow as always for you the challenge is anything goes, and the team were also allowed to do anything we liked as well. So I thought I'd see the year out with a bang and share some home decor I have made for Christmas. And here it is.
I'm going to show you them letter by letter so you get a better look.
I used the Festive Christmas stamp soup collection for this.
They started out as plain MDF letters from one of the craft shows from this year.
I covered them all with papers from the collection and distressed the edges with a file. I then added some modelling paste around the edges of everything to look like snow. I then got to work fussy cutting lots and lots of embellies to add all over. I also added some paste to the Poinsettias to make it look like they had been snowed on. I added bits of bakers twine, and spider web behind some of the flowers and embellies to give them more interest.

And there you have it. I hope you like it as much as I do.
Now I want to thank you all for following me all year once again, and I wish each and every one of you a very merry christmas and a happy and healthy 2017. I know a lot of us have had a tough year this year so we will be saying goodbye to this year with a raised glass. And praying the next one will be better.
So see you all on the other side!
