Dr Digi

Good morning everyone. Today's post is for the Colour Crazy Craft Challenge blog.
The theme as always is anything goes and this week we are being sponsored by Dr Digi, and I chose to use A Dunderton Abroad. I think I may have chosen this with our holiday and my husband in mind! Mind you, he shaved his tash off a few years back now. Anyway, here is what I did with him.
I coloured this with my  Copics for a change. The colours I used are:
Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00
Blues: B26, B37, B39
Greens: G21, G94, G99
Browns: E35, E57, E47
Pinks: RV21, RV13, RV34
The Papers are from Stampin 'Up

Pop over to the blog to see what my teamies have been doing and to join in with our challenge.

Hooray

Hello again. I want to share more makes with you that I did for yesterday's Stamps By Me show on Create and Craft at 1pm.
On these cards I used the Hooray lamination stamp set. I stamped the flower onto watercolour card using clear ink and embossing powder twice, and used my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints to colour them in. I then cut the flower heads off of the second one, shaped them and decoupaged them over the flower on the base.
The papers on this card are from Stampin Up. I put all the layers onto 3D foam to make them pop, and added a few gems.

You can see the dimension on the layers on this photo.

Paper scraps

Hi all. The other day I was wondering what to do with all my left over bits of paper from my recent makes and then saw this post by Miria over at Studio 12. It certainly spured me into action as I had recently made some tags. Here are the ones I originally made:
They are all cut out from a Sizzix die on my Cuttlebug. The tags on the left are done using 2 Stampin Up punches, a scalloped circle and a cirlce with the holly cut out by hand. The ones on the right are done using papers from the Polka Doodles Here Comes Christmas CD and a few Marianne dies for the snowflakes and flowers.

And here are the ones I made using up scraps of Polka Doodles papers:

I think the papers are from the Polka Doodles Sundae of Seasons CD. I've added some faux stitching and flower and butterfly embellishments. I then added the images which are from the Polka Doodles Sugarplum Daisy CD. I then punched a hole and added some ribbon. I have to say I am very pleased with how they turned out and it will be hard to part with them! lol

A frame for me!

After doing all those 3D frames I decided to do one for myself. This isn't really a photo frame it was bought as a picture. I've never seen so much polystyrene, glue and double sided tape holding a picture in! After spending ages taking the thing apart I finally got into it and managed to add my art, and this is the result:
I've used Stampin Up papers again and the Sizzix Graffiti alphabet. I've also cut our first names out in vinyl on my Silhouette Cameo and stuck them onto the mirrored part of the frame (which you can see my craft room reflection in).

3D frame

After seeing the baby frames on Facebook a friend asked me to make one for her friend who is due to have a baby this month. She asked for purple and sparkly and this is what I did for her:
For the name I've used a the Sizzix Graffiti alphabet which has a shadow behind the letters. I've done the shadow in silver mirror card. The papers are from Stampin Up and the flowers are from a Marianne die. I've also added some corners on the frame and added a few buttons.
I love these frames I think they are so different and no two people will have the same!

oh dear!

I can't believe it's been 4 weeks since I blogged! How bad am I especially after saying I would blog more regularly!
I've had a bit of a hectic month to be honest, I went to Spain to surprise my friend who lives there for her 50th birthday, and she was well surprised! We had a great time although it did wear me out as I wasn't to well when we went, and I'm still under the weather. I've had awful bronchitis and am on my 3rd set of antibiotics, so fingers crossed this set do the trick and send it packing.
Then I've been back and forth to the hospital to visit my great uncle who is sadly not going to be with us for much longer. And on top of all that we have been trying to get drawings and plans sorted for us to have an extension built!

I have however manged to do quite a few cards during all that, here are a few of them.
This is the one I made for my friends 50th. It's mainly using DoCraft products from the latest goody bag, and the base card is centura pearl from C&C.

These are a few cards that my friend asked for to go in her shop.
These are using the Stampin Up motorcyle stamp and papers.

And these are using Stampin Ups Beware Pirates stamps.

I will be back soon with more cards to show you and a few other things I am working on at the moment.

Matching cards

Good afternoon Blogland. I did do some matching cards for the baby frames I did the other day and I'm quite pleased with how they turned out!

I think they are really cute. Just hope the customers in the shop do!
Also here are the lastest cards I have done for MCS which were on QVC yesterday. They are using the Alphabet & Scrolls stamp set which can be found here: QVC
Unless otherwise stated, all the papers are also from MCS.
The text backgrounds on the cards are done stamping the text stamp over and over.
I really like this one as I love using Tim Hotlz distress inks.
I love this embossing folder, I think it's great for mens cards, especially on silver mirror card.

This one is a DVD or paperback book box. The papers were a magazine freebie.

Distressing but in a delicate girly way.

That's it for today, but come back soon for more cards I have been working on this week.

Great news, MCS cards and baby frames

I hope you are all having a great bank holiday weekend whatever you are doing. It's a typical bank holiday Monday here, it's really cold and the rain is bucketing down! Oh well, it's nice and cosy here in my craft room.

My great news is that I am now a stamping sample maker for My Craft Studio! I was on the sample team when they were on C&C but on their move to QVC they didn't think they would need as many sample makers so the team was cut to 3.  But now they are doing a bigger stamp range they needed another member so asked me back! To say I am chuffed is a bit of an under statement!
These are the samples I made that were on QVC last Wednesday.

Now onto the frames I've made to go in my friends shop.

The papers are from Stampin Up. I've used an old Sizzix die to cut the letters out and the ribbons and buttons are from my stash. I think I might make some matching cards for them as I'm quite pleased with how they have turned out.
I've got lots more stuff to make for the shop so will probably be posting quite a bit this week, so come back soon.

Birthday and Christening cards

I have been asked to make a 1st birthday card in retro style and to incorporate Disney's Cars into it, and also a christening card in the same style. After quite a bit of messing around these are what I came up with.
Everything but the cars on this one are from My Craft Studios Jewel Britannia.
The papers on this are from Stampin Up, and the embellies from Jewel Britannia again. Not what I would have in mind for a christening card but it's what was wanted! I just hope she likes the cards.

Todays effort is a card

Todays project is a card using some of my Stampin Up goodies, and I have to say I love this card!
The stamps I have used are Greenhouse Garden and Elementary Elegance. I've used Real Red and Garden Green ink pads. I've used a distressing blender around the edges, again with the Real Red ink pad and I think it gives a lovely pinkish tint. I've added some wide satin ribbon with a bow which at one point I was really bad at, but I seem to have picked up the knack of doing bows now! When I finished this card I really liked it so I've done one in purples and also a pressie for someone using a similar theme. I'll show you the purple one tomorrow.

Something a little bit different

Hello bloggers, I hope you've all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed some sunny weather like we have up here.
I've been working on things for Mothers day pressies over the weekend and thought I'd share a few of them with you.
I've done this for my mum, the photo is of my Grandma and Grandad taken on a family holiday in Skegness in the 1950's. The sentiment and hearts are from Stampin Up's Four Frames, I {Heart} Hearts and For My Family, and are stamped in Tempting Turquoise, and the butterflies were cut on my Silhousette Cameo.
This one uses flowers from Stampin Up's Vintage Vogue, stamped in Real Red, a frame from Elementry Elegance and the butterfly from Strength and Hope. The photo is just for illustration purposes and can be changed for you or removed and a sentiment added.
I'll show you some more tomorrow.

Polka Doodles card

Hi guys, hopefully all is back to normal for me. We had Grandads funeral on Friday, and all went well. Our Daisy read out this really lovely poem that she found on the internet,
"He's Gone"
You can shed tears that he is gone,
Or you can smile because he lived,
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see him,
Or you can be full of the love that you shared,
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember him and only that he is gone,
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on,
You can cry and close your mind; be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
If it wasn't for my beautiful Daisy May and Poppy Lou and my wonderful hubby I don't know how I would've coped, they were truly amazing.
So onto todays card. I have used another image from the new Polka Doodles Candy Doodles Collectors edition CD.
The image is coloured with Copics and the papers are from the Papermania Blueberry Hill collection. The large flower is also from the cd and the small ones are made from cirlces of paper. The sentiment is from Stampin Up. I have used a Tim Holtz Broken China ink pad to distress around the image.

Simple card

If anyone happens to read my blog regularly, I'm sorry I haven't posted for a while. My Grandad is back in hospital again after having some massive fits, so I've been otherwise occupied. We haven't been able to visit for a few days as the ward has been quarantined due to an outbreak of gastroenteritius. Fingers crossed he starts to improve today and hopefully we can go visit soon.
I did make a few cards earlier in the week and here is one of them.
I have used the Stampin Up Vintage Vougue stamp set, (I think this is one of my fave sets as it's so versatile). I've stamped the leaves in Stampin Up Classic Green and the flowers in Stampin Up Island Indigo. I've layered up the flowers to give the card some dimension and added some bling. The sentiment is from the Stampin Up Curly Cute stamp set. Hopefully I will be back tomorrow with another card for you.

Stampin Up card

Todays card is made using Stampin Up products, it's for a friend who attends the same Stampin Up craft class as I do.
The stamp is from the Fast and Fabulous set, and is stamped in Classic Green ink and coloured in Island Indigo ink. The flower is from the Vintage Vogue stamp set and stamped in Island Indigo.

Polka Doodles

As I said yesterday I had printed off a few Polka Doodle images so here is another card using one of them.
The image is again coloured with ProMarkers. The papers are from the Papermania scrumptious paper pack. The large flowers are from the Stampin Up Vintage Vogue stamp set and the small ones are from my stash. The sentiment is one I made myself using Word. Come back tomorrow for the card I am making using the last image I printed out.

Christmas table set

I've been playing again and have come up with these little things for my Christmas table this year. This is the cuttlery holder closer up

And the place card
And the wine glass sleeve

And finally the Christmas tree decoration

All the products I have used are from Stampin' Up
The papers are from the Jolly Holidays collection, the stamps I have used are from the Welcome Christmas and Four Frames sets. All images are stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and the card stock is Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla.
I have also used the extra large scalloped circle punch, between the layers of the tree and the decorative label punch. The ribbon is the 3.2cm wide Old Olive striped grosgrain ribbon.
