It's all about ovals!

Good morning and Happy Choosday everyone. Today over at the DC Blog we have a new challenge for you and that is "Ovals" It can be ovals in general or Easter egg ovals. Here is my DT make for this week.
To create the card blank I have used a Tattered Lace over the edge die. I have used the sweet Horace digital stamp, and papers and embellies from the adorable Cherryblossom Lane CD. I have coloured Horace with my Graph'It Markers. I have put the topiary, the tree and the cart embellies over a backing paper in MCS Elite and then cut them out with an oval shape. I used the Wild Honey distress ink to ink around the edges of all the ovals including the image. I then fussy cut the fence, flower border and butterflies and layered them all up on 3D foam. Here are some close ups so you can see the dimension.

Polkadoodles challenge week 15

It's time for some mid challenge inspiration over at Polkadoodles for the challenge of "Animals"
I changed my mind quite a few times before I settled on using the Cherryblossom Lane CD Rom Collection as there are so many gorgeous animals on so many PD CD's. The image, papers, sentiment and trees are all from the CD. The die cut cupcake and tree are from Tattered Lace. I have coloured the image with my Graph'It Markers and given it a light spray with Graph'It fluid to give it a bit of texture.

Digi Choosday week 8

Hello everyone, it's time for a new challenge over at Digi Choosday. Did you know we now have a new home? We have come away from the main blog onto our very own shiny new one. So pop over and say hi.
The challenge this week for us was to use an envelope or insert. So here is my card
The main part of the card is made using an insert from the beautiful Cherryblossom Lane CD Rom Collection which is on offer at the moment for only £9.98! What a bargain! For the image and embellishments I have used the instant download Decoupage Sheet - Riding Along (Cherryblossom Lane), which has made a lovely 3D topper.

Pan Pastel week 41 UK challenge

I have recently started using Pan Pastels and have fallen in love with the metallics so thought I'd enter their challenge. This challenge is "Falling Leaves" and here is what I have created.

For the background I mixed some Pan Pastel  with some Gesso and put in on through a leaf mask. I then used a gold, copper and bronze Pan for the background and then went over the leaves again with the green to make them stand out a bit more. I then printed some leaves from the Bonbon Belles Double CD and some trees and acorns from the Cherryblossom Lane CD. I added some copper Pan to the leaves and trees to give them a look of Autumn. I'm really please with how this turned out.

Polka Doodles challenge week 22

The challenge over at Polka Doodles this week is to use the colour purple.
For my card I have used a pre-coloured image, papers, embellishments and sentiment from the fabulously cute Cherryblossom Lane CD. I decided to use the butterflies and flowers to create a frame around the image. The card is for one of my friends who is having a very tough time at the moment.

Polka Doodles challenge week 3

The challenge over at Polka Doodles this week is to make a project with 3 layers on and to use red and pink.

I made this weeks card for Mrs Polka Doodles' birthday. The papers are from the fabulous Studio 12 CD Picknix collection 1. I've printed them onto printable canvas to give some texture, and make it even more strokeable, frayed the edges and layered onto red card and kraft card. The cute image is from the new Cherry Blossom Lane CD. I've added some Marianne D diecuts, some flowers and gems. Everything is distressed with the Tim Holtz Festive Berries distress ink. Finally I've added some faux stitching.
I really enjoyed making this card and was really pleased with how it turned out. Just hope Nikky loves it as much as I do!
