It's all about ovals!

Good morning and Happy Choosday everyone. Today over at the DC Blog we have a new challenge for you and that is "Ovals" It can be ovals in general or Easter egg ovals. Here is my DT make for this week.
To create the card blank I have used a Tattered Lace over the edge die. I have used the sweet Horace digital stamp, and papers and embellies from the adorable Cherryblossom Lane CD. I have coloured Horace with my Graph'It Markers. I have put the topiary, the tree and the cart embellies over a backing paper in MCS Elite and then cut them out with an oval shape. I used the Wild Honey distress ink to ink around the edges of all the ovals including the image. I then fussy cut the fence, flower border and butterflies and layered them all up on 3D foam. Here are some close ups so you can see the dimension.

Alter it

Good morning everyone, I hope you're having a lovely relaxing weekend doing whatever you love doing. I'm here today with some mid challenge inspiration for the Premium Craft Brands Challenge Blog. I didn't do a make last week as I wasn't well and my creative mojo had done a runner. I think I finally managed to get it back and have come up with this piece.
It started out life as a plain white canvas. I started by using the fabulous Dutch Doobadoo Chicken Wire mask and putting some Gesso through it. After letting it dry I rubbed over it with the Orange Pan Pastel. I then stamped a large butterfly onto some white card and cut it out. I then stamped some parts of the same butterfly onto Stampbord in a different colour, and distressed it using the ink from the main colour of the butterfly. I then scratched onto the Stampbord to give the image a white outline to make it pop out. I then stamped some butterflies from the A5 Postcard stamp set, coloured them and glued them on the canvas. Finally I stamped the messages from the stamp set onto Stampbord using the same technique as before, and scratched some highlight lines around the edges.

Here is the stamp board in closer detail.

Anything but a Square card

Good morning and happy choosday everyone. Today over at our blog the new challenge we have set is to make anything but a square card. These past few years square cards seems to be the most popular shape of card so we thought it would be good to push the boundaries for this week, and show you that fabulous creations don't have to be square. Here is my make:
To create the shape of the card I have used the Flower shape art 6 from Dutch Doobadoo. The image I have used for this is from the cute Sugarplum Daisy CD, and the papers are from the Octavia Moonfly download, as are the flowers and the butterfly. The fence and lamp post are laser art from Dutch Doobadoo. I coloured the image in with some cheap pencils that I picked up while I was in Egypt.

Stencil it inspiration.

Good morning bloggers. I'm here today with a mid challenge inspiration make for the Premium Craft Brands Blog. The challenge which started last week is Stencil It, and here is my make.
This was a plain MDF tag that I started off by mixing some pearlescent violet Pan Pastel with some Gesso and painting the background. I then place the Heart Of Flowers mask over it and stenciled through it with a black Pan Pastel. I then stamped out the butterfly, message and flowers from the Postcard Stamp Set in versamark ink and rubbed over then with the Pan Pastels and glued then to the tag. I finished it off with some black ribbon.
