Pins and Pearls

Good morning blogland, I hope you are all well. I'm here today with my DT make for We Do Doobadoo. The theme this time is Pins and Pearls and here is my make.
For the card base I used the cream Centura Pearl card and used the Dutch Doobadoo Chicken Wire mask to emboss the card. I then cut out some layered shapes using some of my dies (Spellbinders) and used a distress ink around the edges of everything. I then tore a small piece of  the Dutch Doobadoo Honeycomb Softboard laser Art to the corner and ribbon strip and bow. Finally I added the hat pins and all the pearls.

Anything but square!

Happy Choosday everyone! And I'm sure you know that that means it time for a new challenge at Digi Choosday. This week it is to make anything but a square card. I think we all have a fondness for the square card so thought it would be good to push ourselves this week. Here is my DT make
To get the shape of the card I have used the Dutch Doobadoo Shape Art 3 which is my new favourite thing to use! And at only £4.49 it's a must. How much does it cost to buy pre-made shaped cards? You would save the cost of this in no time! The image is from Emma Canning and is called 3 Scoops. I have coloured her with my Graph'It Markers and then used the DD shape art again to cut her out. The papers, flowers, butterfly and bow are from the new Rose Budd Papercrafting CD which is just fabulous! I have used a distress ink around the edges of everything and a little Frantage around the image.

In the Pink

Happy Choosday everyone. It's time for a new challenge at Digi Choosday and this time it is "In The Pink"
For my card I have used the Girls Hoot Download Bundle. Everything on the card is from the bundle. The large flowers are from the edges of the sentiment. I have cropped them off and blown them up to the size I wanted. Because all the elements are high quality you don't lost the focus when you blow them up in size. I have used a Dutch Doobadoo Shape Art to create the card shape and mats and layers. These are so easy to cut out and MUCH cheaper than buy the very large dies. To make the fabulous papers pop I have outlined the edges of them with a black pen.

Flora & Fauna

Good morning everyone, I hope you are having a great weekend. I'm here today with a new challenge at Premium Craft Brands which is "Flora & Fauna".
Here is my make
I have used the 15 x 15cm Owl mask and the Orange - Pan Pastel and Violet - Pan Pastel through the mask and then outlined it with a fine black marker pen to make it pop. I then mixed the same pan pastels with the Maimeri Iridescent Paste and painted the flowers. Finally I added the little dots around the edge of the card to use the left over medium.

Now it's time for another challenge over at the Graph'It Marker Challenge blog and this time it is
"Blondie"
Now I took that as Blonde hair and here is my card.
The image, papers, flowers and gems (don't they look real) are all from the fabulous new Rose Budd Papercrafting CD which debuted on C&C on Tuesday. This is going to be a mega seller so make sure you get your order in asap for despatch from  Polkadoodles on the 17th June.

The Graph'It Markers I have used are:
Skin: 4115, 4155, 4170, 4175, 3160
Hair: 1210, 1230, 3110, 3140, 3180

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Good morning blogland, it's nearly the weekend! And lets hope it's a lovely summery one.
It's time for a new challenge at Polkadoodles and this time it is Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
I've decided to make a rainbow of flowers for my project using the colours of the rainbow for each flower. The stamp set I have used is The purpose of Art. I have stamped onto Centura Pearl cardstock and used a green and a blue Pan Pastel to create sky and ground. Finally I have drawn a rough line around the edge to add extra interest.

Use "real" papers

It is Tuesday again and you know what that means, yep it's Digi Choosday!

But before I get onto the challenge here is a last minute reminder that you can see the fabulous Nikky Hall on our screens on Create & Craft at 9am this morning with the swooningly delicious new CD Rose Budd..

Just look at some of the things you can make!

And now I shall get on with this weeks challenge.
The challenge we have set you this time is to use 2 physical papers. That means to use papers from a paper stack/pack that you have in your stash and NOT a paper you have printed from a CD
Here is my card.

The image is by Emma Canning and is called BBQ and is coloured with my Graph'It Markers. For the shape of the card and the papers I have used the Dutch Doobadoo Shape art 4. The papers are from Dovecraft and are called Curiosity Corner. The railings and lamp post are both from Dutch Doobadoo

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

For the Boys

I'm here today with some mid challenge inspiration at the UK Premium Craft Brands Challenge blog.
The challenge that started last week is For the Boys and here is my DT make.

To create the card I used the Roses A5 stamp set. You wouldn't think that a Roses stamp set would suit for a male card would you! For the background I stamped the large splat in a dark blue ink, and then the smaller splat with a lighter blue and a dark yellow. For the front stripe I used the 3 different clock faces and a set of clock hands in the same colours. I used the Phthalo Blue Shade - Pan Pastel to give a distressed look around the edges. I then added one of the sentiments to the front and some bakers twine.

One for the guys

Good morning all, what are you thinking of summer so far here in the UK? It's been a bit pants hasn't it. We had 3 days of lovely sunshine up here in't North, and that was it. At least I have had the French Open to keep me occupied as well as my crafting. Roll on Queens and Wimbledon I say! lol

So, it's a new month and that mean a new challenge at the Tattered Lace Challenge Blog.
Here is my DT make. The theme this month is "One For The Guys". I know a lot of people struggle with mens cards but the new range of dies from Tattered Lace, the Days Out Collection should help with that!

I have used the cabin/beach hut die and cut it out in Core'dinations card and sanded it to give it a distressed look. I then cut out some of the camper vans and trailers and used them to create and embossed back ground, and again sanded that. I then cut out the cabin in black and laid it behind the gray one to give a shadow effect. I also did this with the sentiment dies. The moon is the waste from the bucket and spade die, and I have used some Tattered Lace Crystal Glitter on it. It works fab as a moon doesn't it! I then laid some grey ribbon over some black and wrapped it around the card.
Come and join us in our challenge. Don't worry if you don't have a blog as you can email in your entries and we will add them to our blog for you!
