Polka Doodles card

This is todays card. The image is from Polka Doodles Pretty Sweet.
The papers are also from Polka Doodles. I have coloured the image with ProMarkers. I've done some paper pricking around the image and around the patterned paper. I've inked all the edges of the card and paper to make it stand out a bit. I've used some lace around the 2nd layer of the card. The flowers are from my stash and I've curled some craft wire around a paint brush to make the coils that are behind the flowers for a bit of extra dimension.

Magnolia card

This is the card I did yesterday and I have to say I'm really pleased with it. I spent quite a lot of time on it trying different embellishments before I was happy.
The images is secret Tilda and I have coloured her with ProMarkers. The papers are from Papermanias Scrumptious paper pack. I've inked the edges of some of the papers with the Rose Coral chalk in pad from Colourbox. The flowers, ribbon and hat pin are from my stash. The flourish and flower border are sizzlits dies.

Girly grunge

This is one of my fave images from MCS, it's Cromford Bear from The Artist Collection Volume 2. I thought I'd give it a go in girly colours, then thought the image called for a bit of distressing as it suits someone with a bit of attitude. The image is coloured with Copics. The background is textured card which I have distressed, and the papers are also from the Cromford CD. The flowers are cut out on my eCraft in the same textured card as the background and I've added some glittered brads to the centre.

MCS Floriography cards

These cards are made using the MCS Floriography printed sheets that they have been selling on C&C this week. I only needed to make 3 samples this time as it was a bit of a rush. And seeing as I haven't posted in a few days, I thought I'd put them all on together.
All the images are coloured with copics and the backing papers are all from MCS discs

Some more MCS card

So much for me trying to post more regularly! lol Time just seems to get away from me! And I seem to make a stack of cards and then photograph them all in one go. Anyway, here are some more MCS back catalogue cards
If you're wondering why I have been using some of the older MCS CD's, it's because they have some shows coming up on Create & Craft when they will be selling some of them and I have done some of the samples for them. As we know everyday more and more people are finding the wonderful hobby of cardmaking and MCS are aware of this and are wanting to show the new crafters their back catalougue of CD's.

MCS

Here's another card from the fabulous My Craft Studio
I've been looking back at some CD's that I haven't used in a while and decided to make a few cards from them. Here is the first one, it from the MCS For The Girls CD. I've kept this one simple, just a bit of matting and layering and added some ribbon, a hat pin, a feather, some glitter and 3D glaze and some pearls. Come back tomorrow for some more from MCS

MCS card

This card is from the new MCS Setting The Scene Shop Fronts CD As you can see again, the CD isn't just about shop fronts, it's so much more. I think it's a lovely image and can be used for so many different occasions. This is a close up of the dress. I've used silicone glue instead of foam pads so I could curve the skirt to look more realistic.

MCS card

This card is for my next door neighbour to give to his wife for her birthday. I've used the MCS Setting The Scene Shop Fronts CDYou can't really see it on the photo but the shop front is raised with acetate behind it so it's like a window, and the door opens so you can see inside the shop.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to anyone that reads my blog, I know I have been a very, very lazy blogger lately, but there really has been so much going on with me and my family. Thankfully things have settled down a bit now. I really will try to blog regularly from now on, honest! Here are my latest sample cards for MCS, these are from the Setting The Scene Shop Fronts CD that was launched last Friday. There is so much more than just shop fronts on this CD, I love it! This one is a simple, but I think, very pretty card. Create and Craft must agree as this was used in the promo! It is simply a topper and some papers printed out and matted and layered. I have put some ribbon behind the topper and some buttons down the side

This one is a 3D wedding shop, which looks quite difficult to make but isn't, the instructions on the CD are really easy to follow. This one was also used on the promo.
This one is a 3D tunnel card in matching box, again used in the promo.
This one is another simple one with an image and papers and some jems, ribbon and a hat pin added.
This one is a town scene, you can build your own street however you wish, there are so many different houses benches, lamp posts etc to choose from.

Now this one is my favourite of all the images on the CD, there is so much you can do with it. The following 3 cards all use the same image in different ways, and all 3 of them have been shown a lot on the shows, especially the 1st 2. I have been so chuffed with all the amazing comments I have had from the presenters about these cards. The 1st one is simply printed and matted and layered, with a bit of ribbon and glitter on. Oh, I added the little cat as well.

This 2nd one I have printed the image and cut it into 3 and distressed using Tim Holtz distressing ink, then dropped some water on to further distress it. The papers are also from the same CD, I think this is my fave paper.
For the 3rd one I've gone for black and white again. Again a topper and paper from the CD and I've added a feather, a hat pin and some ribbon.
I can see this being a very popular CD of choice for alot of people. I can see me using it for mens cards as there are alot of images on it that can be used for anyone. Wow, that was quite a long post for my 1st one in a while! I hope you haven't nodded off dear reader. I promise I will be back soon.
