BINGO!!!

Hi all hope you are well,
and all you Mums out there got
spoilt rotten on Sunday.
I had breakfast in bed and got
some lovely smelly stuff and new shoes.
Beth had also been busy at Guides last week
and made me these.

I have put the fab Keyring on my Knitting bag,
if i put it on my keys it might get broken.
It was a glorious day here so we went for a walk
along the sea front, we even manage to get
my 14 year old to come along to.
It was a brilliant day.

Onto my card today

It's Papertake time and this weeks
challenge is Bingo time.

Choose a line from the grid
it can be up, down, across or diagonal
it's up to you.

This weeks challenge is sponsored by
The Ribbon Girl.

I chose the bottom row
Buttons, Glitter,Lace.

As you can see i have been having a play
with Sheena's Paint fusion stamps again.
I love this lilac, when i saw it on C&C as a
pick of the week i knew i had to have it.
Lilacs are one of my favourite flowers
i love the scent.
This was one of the first goes, i also did
another two and gave them to my Mum and
Mum in law for mother's day they
both said 'wow have you painted it.'
Once you know the tricks it so easy to do.

I have made this one for a lady we know,
it's her 60th next month.

The Dragonfly's are buttons, i had to break to
loop off the back so they would sit right.
I used Glitter card and added glitter to the image.
I then added a row of lace flowers along the bottom.

Blanket update i have one more row to add
which i am going to do when i leave the computer.
Then i have to join the squares on the
other sides and then lastly put a trim around the edge.
It's getting exciting now it coming together.

Isn't it great we have had lovely weather the last
few days and i have finaly managed to get into the
garden. I tidied up the green house and got some
seeds sown. Lets hope this weathers here to stay,
i must admit i'm only a fair weather gardener, if
it's dull or cold it's a no! no!

Thanks for looking today
take care

Pretty Butterfly

Hi all hope to find you well today.

Well would you believe it, it's Tuesday
again I'm sure I've missed a couple of days
this last week, it's come round so quick.

So onto this weeks Challenge over at
It's anything goes week and this
week the optional extra is to use
shrink plastic.
As ever we are sponsored by the
wonderful Lili of the Valley.

I've been having a play with this card,
Out came my distress inks and watercolour card.
Also i had to remember where my shrink plastic was,
not played with it for years and it had been tidied
away so it took me half an hour to find it.
But ooh what fun, i had forgotten how
much fun shrink plastic is.
The stamps i have used are from the
range that Sheena does for
paint fusion.
Stamped the flower on the shrink and
coloured lightly to make a little charm.
The butterfly is stamped onto watercolour card
 and painted with distress inks
 Weathered wood and Spun sugar.
The backing paper is a perfect match,
i was lucky as i painted my image again first
then tried to match the papers.
It's from DCWV old world stack.
I love this stack there are lots of fabulous
distressed papers.
Stamped swirls round the main image and embossed
them with silver embossing powder,
also did the same with the sentiment.
Ribbon is from the Ribbon Girl.

Now I've rediscovered shrink plastic
I'm definitely going to use it more.

Blanket update
 I've put together 5 rows
at the moment and it's looking good only
another 19 rows to go.

Thanks for looking today
hope to see you over at Papertake.
Take care

Flutterby Butterfly

Good afternoon all hope you are all enjoying this warm
weather, make the most of it while it lasts.
I dug my maxi dress out this morning, I've not
had it on since my hols last year,
it was nice to see it again.

Did a bit of gardening yesterday but i had to stop, it
just got to hot, only managed to
deweed my veggie patch but anyway that's one less
job to do although it will be full again in a few
weeks knowing my weeds..lol.

I had a scout around the challenges yesterday.
I don't know why but i seemed to have
been out of the challenge
loop these last few weeks.
Anyway made a list and managed to
make this card for the following.

Lovely Hanglar only - Card for a Girl
Just Magnolia - Butterfly
Sweet stampin - Something old, something new
Ribbon girl - Pink and Cream
The Shabby Tea room - My favourite things

The stamp is from Hanglar, coloured with
Polychromos pencils and sansodor.
Papers are my favourite at the moment they are
from Raspberry Road 'oh so shabby'
they are all scrummy.
The butterfly is from Sheena's Paint fusion kit,and
i have used gold glitter embossing powder on the top.
The Flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts.

The sentiment is from one of the Stampman's
butterfly stamp sets, i have had these years and years
and have recently dug them out and rediscovered them
again, don't you love it when that happens
it's like buying new stamps again.

That's all for now

Here Comes the sun (fingers crossed)

Hi all I'm back as promised with my card
for this weeks Papertake Weekly
Challenge.

This week's theme is

HERE COMES THE SUN

Which is sponsored by the Ribbon Girl.

I don't know whether this theme will jinx things
especially as Wimbledon has just started,
they got rained off yesterday and it has been cloudy
and dull all day here, but fingers crossed the sun
will arrive soon. Pleeeeeez!

Not to sure whether i like this card or not, i
think it's because there's no flowers or ribbons on it.

Shaped the card on my rotary cutter
with the wave shape.
I have used one of Sheena's rubber stamps
i think this one is just the two of us.
Coloured with polychromos pencils and i added
glitter glue to the girls costume.
Made a beach scene with some Raspberry
Road digi papers on the computer.
The sentiment is from LOTV.
Shells off the beach at the end of the road,
had fun looking for tiny ones to go on the card.

Oooh!  Oooh!
just had a thought i should have stamped
the sentiment onto yellow card
it would have looked like the sun.
Gurrr! To late now.
Never mind.

Also thought i would share with you these piccies
i have taken of my fuchsia's,
they are one of my favourite flowers.
This first one is a Standard that i grew myself
from a cutting, This is it's third flowering year and
it's not let me down this is the best it's ever been.

The rest i have bought this year to go in
my hanging baskets and pots.
They are just coming out and looking beautiful.

Thanks for stopping by
ta ta for now

Busy Doing Nothing

Good morning all Just showing a quick card i made last night.
I saw these stamps over on the Sheena Douglass blog and
she gave everyone the chance to win a set.
Unfortunately i didn't win but i loved the stamps so much
i ordered the multi buy when they were shown on
C&C. The postie brought them yesterday
so i had to have a play last night.
I think this little darling is my fave, i just love
her dress.

Yes i did colour her in with Distress inks, I'm just loving these
at the moment. The great thing is as well you can colour so
quick with them.
I don't know about you, but I seem to go through fads with colouring.
One minute it markers then it's polychromos pencils now it's
distress ink's whats next???

The stamped images and sentiment is
'Busy Doing Nothing' by Sheena.
I have stamped her onto watercolour paper with
archival black ink. I used distress inks in
peeled paint, fired brick,frayed burlap,
weathered wood and bundled sage.
Papers are MME summer papers a freebie with a craft mag last year.
Martha Stewart heart border punch off cut i made into a little
taggy thing (i don't know what to call it).
I also went mad with the cosmic shimmer glitter glue.
i seem to have a thing for that as well at the mo,
i don't think i should have put it on the taggy thing though,
i don't think it looks right.
Never mind.
Thanks for looking
