Update on page 3 and birthday buys!!

First of all I would like to say a massive thank you for everyone's kind words on Connors cross stitch. I read all the comments to him and he is over the moon.

I decided to sew al the black on the page so I have a rough idea of where everything is and can work in rough sections again. So all the black is now done. I then started some of the red on the wing. The colours are amazing and he picture really don't do it any justice!

Before I forget Esmai is now walking without too much help. Connor goes back to school next week.
And I will finally be able to recover from all the days out we have had. Only problem with keeping the kids busy is I end up more tired them they do!

Its my birthday next month. The way that things- money wise- are working out at the moment means I got my birthday pressies this month from my partner and children. And the best part Is I got to choose them!!

4 New charts from HAED. A Storage box to keep threads in and THE best gridding pen I  have ever found.
No more lost threads!

I still haven't finished putting all the threads in
Middle Earth- I have been after this chart forever!!!
Eternal Promise- I fell in love with this chart years ago

Storykeep-Forest Walk- His so cute
Mini Small Things

So lots to keep me busy for the next few years. Now I have to find the time and money to kit all the new buys up.

Connor's First cross stitch!

Connor (5) has been bugging me for a few days that he wants to do a cross stitch. I went online and found this small freebie, some 6count aida I had brought years ago and some black thread. He done really well, hopefully this will improve his hand/eye co-ordination.

He loved doing it and was very pleased with the result. He insisted on wearing the q-snaps as a necklace. Loving this photo!

Maybe a couple more small freebies and he can start the magical world of HAEDs with me hehehe

PAGE FINISH !!!

I finally have a update! I have just finished the 2nd page. It would of been done sooner but I ran out of one of the threads, don't you hate it when that happens? 'Scuse the hoop marks I have literally just finished.

Now I'm off to a BBQ when I get back I can start gridding up page number 3!!

Busy Busy Busy-Lots of pics

Here's another pic of Yule fairy. I was meant to post this a few days again. But managed to delete the pic, so here it is as of 2minutes ago. I have completed the "window" section ( it reminds me of a stained glass window) and am now doing the pretty colours of the wing. A few more hours and this page should be finished.

As its the summer holidays, my partner took some time off. That means lots of days out!! Today was Swanley park and Chislehurst caves.

Then we went to Chislehurst Caves. It was lots of fun. I even managed to Breastfeed while walking round them. Unfortunately this is the only decent photo I managed to get. There is lots of cool history related to the caves. Everything from Druids to Romans to a war-time town including hospital being hidden there to Pink Floyd (among others) doing gigs there.

Swanley park was very pretty and had a great splash area which the kids loved. The train ride was our favourite bit. The train was surprisingly fast and the driver was lovely. He asked Connor would he like to ride in the front with him.

Tomorrow is Dymchurch and the 2p machines :)
