These are my final concept art pieces for my secret lairs project before starting my final piece in Maya. Although these are complete, my model in Maya will not look exact as there are slight changes I will make when modelling  which are not so drastic that there is need to redo my paintings.

I decided to take thumbnail #28 to the next step as well as incorporating a similar aspect from thumbnail #30 to fill some of the space and make a composition with the Machines.

These are only black and white at the moment to get the composition that I want although I am not sure if the machine part from #30 looks right in terms of perspective?

Digital Painting Lesson 2 - 05/10/12

For my second digital painting lesson the main focus was to explore the use of background and foreground elements creating depth within the concept. As well as getting more involved with colour and little bit on perspective.

1: Colour concept with background and foreground elements.

2: Using a perspective grid to improve perspective drawing.

Digital Painting Lesson 1 - 28/09/12

I really enjoyed the first digital painting lesson as previously I had only used Photoshop for Image manipulation purposes so the painting part was all new to me.
