I think I've done it now...

My drywall crew was supposed to show up today to start the finishing process but they didn't show. I am very concerned about this because I had to call my contractor yesterday evening on them after they left. My 9 year old son was checking out his room and the guest bathroom beside his room when he stumbled upon some graffiti on the bathroom wall next to the linen closet door. It said " nail this f-ing door". My son comes to me and says "Mom, come back here I want to ask you a question" so we go back to the bathroom and he says "What does that mean" and points to the "f" word. I almost broke my fingers calling my contractors office at that point. That was late yesterday evening so my contractor called me back this morning, needless to say he was very upset that a curse word was on my wall. I think he was more upset about it than we were! He said he called the owner of the drywall crew and the guy apologized. I had also asked him if he would remind them to cut out the medicine cabinet in the guest bath which is a mistake anyone can make, I wasn't mad about it. I wasn't really mad about the graffiti, more embarrassed because my father-in-law was there when it happened and because my son found it. My only thought was "what if our Pastor, which is our painter, came by to check it out and saw that" , wanna talk about embarrassment! Thank goodness he wasn't scheduled to come by!

I told my contractor that I was very happy with their work. He told me that they were a new crew he just hired and my house was the first one they had done for him and that he went over the rules with them again so that the curse words don't happen again. The guy that owns the drywall business has been in business for years and they hang sheetrock like no one else I have ever saw. They put extra screws and nails in which is what impressed my contractor to hire them. I told my contractor that the main guy probably didn't even see it and that is was more than likely one of the younger guys that done it. He had three guys working for him that ranged in age from 16 to 19. I am just hoping that they show up to start mudding tomorrow and to clean their mess because they left a horrible mess behind but they told my husband that they would clean that up before they started mudding today. Cross your fingers that they will be here tomorrow. Today would have been the perfect day for the mudding too because it was sunny and 70 here today.

None of you are going to believe this but after wanting this house so bad for fourteen years I am against a wall about something. I can't decide what colors to paint the master bedroom and bath! I was going to go purchase a comforter today to go from but I didn't have time because I was either delivering Girl Scout cookies all day or running errands for my very busy husband. Tomorrow I am going to go buy one of the three/four that I am looking at and be done with it. The reason I am stressing so bad over the paint colors in the MB is because my contractor told me this morning that we needed to go ahead and order our paint because this weekend or the first of next week depending on when the drywall was finished, we could go ahead and paint behind where the commodes and water heater will go. Wanna talk about nerves flaring, mine have been electrified all day since then and the fact that I couldn't go look at comforters today didn't help.

My fourteen year old daughter is going through something very tough right now. Her heart is broken and it breaks mine. She and I have been crying together a lot the past couple of days. She doesn't want anyone to know what is going on but I will say that it is nothing that we all haven't been through around that age. Before I go any farther let me also say that she has done nothing wrong or got in trouble. It hurts me so bad because I can't take her pain away so if you all don't mind please say a small prayer that she will have peace with this situation. Once she has peace, I will have peace.

To be honest I am an emotional wreck right now and it is mostly because of paint colors, comforters, and ...oh yeah.... kitchen appliances! I have done more research, thank goodness, and I have changed my mind about the first set of appliances I was going to buy for my kitchen. I kept going back and back and back again and I happened upon some testimonies about that particular brand of appliances and most of the testimonies weren't that great so I went out looking and found a brand that I know is one of the best. I have always thought the first brand I chose was one of the best but they seem to have problems in the second to third year after purchase so I am staying away from them. The LG front load washer and dryer is still a go though! LOL!

Before I say good night I want to thank you all for still reading me. Since using this dial-up connection I have trouble getting most of the blogs in my blog roll to load so I don't get to read them. If I have time I run by the library for that reason but I still feel like I am neglecting and ignoring those blogs. For those of you who I can't get to load I am not ignoring you, I promise. Once we get settled in the new house and I have my cable connection I will be back to my regular blogging.

Y'all have a good day! Be safe and take care!

drywall and a pain in the leg...

Well they finished hanging the drywall today and tomorrow they will start mudding it. This is moving so fast that it is making my head spin.

In this pic I am standing in the living room looking down the hallway. The door straight down the hallway in front of me is my sons room. You can see some of the dust particles from the drywall floating in the air.

This pic is the front wall of the master bedroom. If you walk through the front door and go to the only room on the left then you would be in my bedroom.

That is all the pics I have for now. I took a lot of pics today but it took me almost twenty minutes to upload these two on here so I am not going to wait for more.

I have been out and about all day long and tonight I am suffering for it. For some reason from my left knee to ankle I am hurting badly. If I had a pain pill I would take it because the pain is past the ignoring stage.

I am extremely tired tonight and I don't really have much to say, sorry.

I hope y'all had a good day today and I hope you have a good day tomorrow!

Be safe and take care!

Ms. Busy!!

Hey! Wow what a day! I have been so busy today with picking things out for the house that I haven't had time to think about my nervousness. I made a final decision on carpet today and I didn't go with my original plan which was Berber, instead I went with a different type. Our tile has been ordered and Monday we will be ordering our hardwood flooring. We decided to go with raw wood that has to be sanded and finished because in order to get the color variations I want I have to go with sand and finish. I am getting a cabin grade oak so that it has a bit of a rustic look to it and we are not staining, we are going natural with nothing but the poly finish on it.

I have been shopping for a comforter/duvet for the master bedroom so I could get a color theme from it and I have finally narrowed it down to three. Two of them are down comforters that Belk just happens to be having a killer sale on, I am wondering how that happened because I never find the good sales like this. The other one is just a double stuffed comforter that has four different color stripes on it. One of the down comforters is a butter yellow the other is a light tan. The double stuffed has tan, brown, white and a very tropical blueish-greenish color that has caught my eye a lot lately.

Our drywall was delivered about 7 this morning and the hangers arrived not long after. They got drywall on all of the ceilings today and will more than likely get the walls done tomorrow then it will be time for mudding the drywall. Things are happening so fast and I am glad that I have been so busy that I don't have time to think about everything going on with the house because my excitement over moving in is about to get the best of me! Every time I think about living there I get teary eyed because we have waited for this for so long.

I was so busy today that I didn't have time to take pics of the hung drywall so I will get some in the morning and post them tomorrow night.

My father-in-law works in wood. He owns a custom cabinet shop and he makes anything that can be made of wood. We are meeting with him tomorrow to talk about the armoire for our tv in the living room. We have our eyes on a 42 inch LCD that might have to wait until closer to summer before we purchase it but I want to go ahead and get the armoire made.

I am also debating on whether to go buy a king sized bedroom set or design one for my f-i-l to build. Decisions , decisions.... LOL!

I don't know if I done an update or not but I had asked some of you to pray for me regarding an eye appointment I had Friday and contacts. I have worn glasses for a little over two years now and I have to wear them all the time. I am tired of glasses and wanted to try contacts. My appointment went well, I was right about my sight, it had worsened 30% since my last exam two years ago. I got contacts, of course I couldn't wear regular ones due to my astigmatism so they prescribed me the Toric contacts that are for astigmatism correction. I am doing great with the contacts and I enjoy them much more than glasses! Thanks for your prayers!

I need to go now and get in bed. It is after midnight here and I have a full day tomorrow. Y'all be safe and take care!

updated house pics...finally!

Since it takes so long to upload these images I am only showing one of each step that has been done since last I posted pics.

This first one is of the plumbing. This is the laundry room and you can see the guest bathtub.

This pic was actually taken last Saturday when we got snow but it shows the shingles and the they were completed while the plumbing was going in. I really wished I had waited until the next morning because we got more than this. For once everything was covered the next day!

This pic is of the heating and air ducts and the wiring. Sorry to crunch everything up in just a few pics but this thing uploads slow.

This pic was taken yesterday of the insulation. The wall you are looking at is the living room wall, the front door is to my left.

That is all that I have for now. Once the house is done I am going to post a couple of pics from each step in one post so you will get to see them all. If you didn't read my post Wednesday then let me tell you what happened that day.

My contractor called me that morning to tell me that the framing and wiring inspections passed. He said that they would be doing the insulation yesterday(Thursday) and on Monday they would start the drywall or maybe today if the shipment came in. He said that they would be done with my house in two weeks if the weather continues to hold as it is right now (highs are hitting about 70) and if not then definitely by three weeks. Once they are done it will take us about two weeks to paint, install the hardwood , tile and carpet. So it won't be long now. My contractor said that this is the period of time he was talking about in our pre-construction meeting when he said that there would be so many people in the house that you couldn't fit air in there.

The weird thing is that we have waited so long for this and now that crunch time is upon us I am nervous! It is kind of like an excited nervousness. I have a lot to do between now and then. I still haven't picked out a color for the master bedroom or master bath. If I can't find a comforter/duvet set to get a theme from before they paint then I am going to go with a cream color on the master bedroom walls and a different color on the bathroom. Cream matches anything! I think another reason I am nervous is because things are getting ready to move very fast and at this point I am worrying over whether I will have time to get everything done that needs to be done. Everyone assures me that I will have plenty of time and that it just seems like I won't because we are this close.

Anyways I hope you all enjoyed the pics! Have a good day, be safe and take care!

HNT & more.....

Last week I didn't even want to think about how long it would take to upload pics with my slow connection so I made a promise to someone that I would post two this week but since I didn't get to post during the move to my parents house I have decided to give you three pics of me. Enjoy!

This first pic was taken this past weekend. I was sleepy but couldn't sleep so I grabbed my camera and snapped a couple of pics with me laying on my purple tie dyed pillow. As you can see I was lazy that night and didn't remove my make-up.

This pic actually has a story with it. The pink jacket that I have on has traveled around the nation from one hijacker to the other and this time it was my turn. I promised in my post yesterday to take a pic inside my house but we had a terrible thunderstorm to hit a short time before this pic and I didn't want to step in mud on my way in to the house. Mr. B snapped this pic while we were on our way out to go to church and that is why nothing on me matches that jacket. Did I mention that I hate this pic of me?

I took this pic myself as a back up because the first one Mr. B took looked very blurry to me on my camera screen.

And there you have it ! The pics didn't take as long as I figured they would to upload but they took longer than I liked but I can live with that so sometime late tonight I will post a couple of pics of the progress on the house.

I don't know if I will be on much tomorrow because I have an appointment with my optometrist. Speaking of that appointment, those of you who pray will you please say a little prayer for me tonight because my eye sight is getting horrible. I have worried myself to death over it because it is getting to the point that I can't even see that good with my glasses. I have only had to wear glasses since November of 2004 and my sight getting worse really bothers me. This appointment I am going to try contacts. I have an astigmatism but it isn't that bad. I want to try contacts because even though I have worn glasses for a little over two years, I forget they are on my face a lot of times therefore I bump them with pens and anything else I have in my hand..very dorky but true! Also with contacts I won't have to buy prescription sunglasses and let me tell you those things can be expensive.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed the pics ! Have a good day, be safe and take care!

HAPPY HNT!!

WOOHOO!!!!!

Hey all ! I have some really exciting news to spread around. Around 9:30 this morning I received a phone call from my contractor. He was over at our house checking things out so he calls me to tell me that our framing inspection passed and our wiring inspection passed. He told me that they will start installing the insulation tomorrow and hopefully by Monday they would start the drywall, maybe before then. He then proceeded to tell me that they will be done with my house within two weeks, three at the latest. He told me that this is the point of time that he had mentioned in our pre-construction meeting when there would be so many people in the house that you couldn't fit air in there. He said that the building of our home had ran smoothly thus far and he wanted to finish it ASAP. A friend mentioned to me that I needed to be careful and make sure that in their rush they don't do half the job but the thing is that their will be several men on each crew and they can all get done what needs to be done. I will be there for each step!

I am so excited right now, today has been a very good day as far as the house is concerned.

Y'all need to stop back by tomorrow because I will be posting a HNT photo tomorrow of me in a beautiful pink jacket that has traveled around the nation from friend to friend throughout the Hijackers. I am going to take the pic in my new house tonight.

Y'all have a good night, be safe and take care!

kitchen appliances....

We are about a month and a half away from moving into our new home so I thought that I would really get serious about my kitchen appliances. I already knew what washer and dryer I wanted so that wasn't a problem. As far as kitchen appliances went I knew that I wanted stainless steel. I also wanted a side by side fridge, a flat surface stove, a microwave that goes over the stove and a great dishwasher. I picked the kitchen appliances out after looking at everything they had, I decided on a line of GE that are actually a set. The dishwasher was missing one setting that I wanted but was $200 cheaper than the one I had originally picked out. The higher dishwasher was also a different brand and I want the same brand name appliances in the kitchen so I can do without one small setting.

Now the washer and dryer I had already made my mind up about when they first hit the market. I saw the commercial and fell in love. They are the new LG front loader with the steam setting. If you have saw the commercial where the woman is wearing a lavender colored dress all day then comes in, throws the dress in the washer on the steam setting then puts it back on and goes out for the evening then you have saw my washer and dryer. I have chose the set in wild cherry red metallic which is normally $100 each more than the white if you choose the other colors but for the next few weeks it just happens to be the same price for the red with the sale they are having. I figured Mr. B would pose a problem on the washer and dryer but he was all for it once the salesman explained the steam setting and all that.

I am not going to buy the kitchen appliances yet because I want to shop around just a bit more before I make my final decision but more than likely I will go with those I chose tonight. I have done my research and I want to do a bit more on the LG appliances before I decide on the GE.

The house is coming along nicely. The electric is all roughed in and the heating and air is all roughed in. Our insulation should be installed this week sometime then they will start the dry wall. There were several little extras that we asked for concerning the electric and I was surprised to see them there without any questions being asked. More or less what I am saying is my contractor isn't one that you have to tell more than once what you want, he is great!

It has snowed lightly all day until about 5pm then it started getting a bit heavier so tonight we have a light dusting covering everything but the roads and it is very pretty to look at. Is it just me or is it very quiet and peaceful outside when snow is on the ground and falling? I really want to go take a nice walk outside alone but I don't think Mr. B would like that at 10:30 at night and he sure won't want to come with me because he is busy right now.

I took some pics of the house right after the snow started sticking and I wish I could show them to you but it would probably take forever to get them uploaded on here, maybe I will have time to try that tomorrow.

Well I am going to go for now and get the kids settled in bed then my sister and I are going to watch a chic flick. Y'all have a good weekend , what's left of it! Be safe and take care !

progress, plans and valentine wishes...

Hello friends! My page is starting to load just a bit faster now , not anything to brag about mind you but faster than it was. I am still connecting at the same speed however.

I knew that our electrician and the heating and air guy should be out this week but I didn't expect it to be yesterday. It turns out that our H&A and electrician are one and the same. Thus far in this building process we have been so blessed to have nice, clean mouthed workers and I am hoping this continues, they also are good about cleaning up after themselves. I have heard for years how stressful it is to build a house and all this and all that but I have to admit that so far it has been a mostly stress free experience. There was the thing with the power company that just about caused me to have "the big one" but other than that it has been a good thing. I do get a bit stressed over it but it is self induced from anxiety of wanting the finished product so that we may move in. I mainly stress over goofy things like what furniture to buy for the living room or how I am going to set the office up. Oh well it will be done in no time and I can lay my head to rest over the living room furniture and the office....LOL!

Monday evening Mr. Breazy and I went over to the house and done some clean up in the yard from where the wind had blown things around and we also discussed some plans for things that will have to be done when all of the construction is over. I had my first little sit-down on my front porch with a glass of sweet iced tea and it was more wonderful than I could ever have imagined or dreamed of. As a matter of fact , Mr. B and I done our planning while sitting on the steps of the porch, it felt really good to sit there knowing that we were actually sitting on OUR front porch planning things to be done after OUR house was done. It is starting to sink in a bit that the house is ours but I don't think I will completely feel it until we move in there. While we sat on the porch planning we watched our kids ride the dirt bike and the feeling that gave me is unexplainable.

Things are going good here at my moms. I am enjoying the time I get to spend with them. Two nights in the last week my sister and I have sat down and watched a movie after the kids were in bed and asleep. That was wonderful because we haven't been able to do that in a long time.

I am going to have to make a trip to the library soon so that I can read everyones blog. Some of them are taking too long to load and I feel like I am neglecting them by not reading them, maybe not neglecting but more like ignoring and I am really not, I just don't want to wait ten plus minutes for a page to load.

I have lots of new pics and when I have a lot of time one day I am going to upload some of them so you can see our progress. I also have a couple of pics of some hardwood floors that Mr. B has done in the last week. One of the floors is brazilian cherry and it is beautiful. The other floor is the re-finish of the floors in the house we just moved out of. If you remember when we lived there I mentioned a couple of times that the floors were so dark they were almost black, well not anymore. You can actually see wood grain now and it is beautiful!

Mr. B is trying to talk me into sand and finish floors in our house but I kind of want to go with pre-finish because they are less messy. The problem is that my sinuses and allergies bother me and when you sand a floor there is a lot of dust and it makes my sinuses and allergies go haywire on me. I have to go in and clean the house from top to bottom when everything is complete so I am thinking about buying a better face mask and letting Mr. B do the sand and finish. It isn't like I will be cleaning the house alone either , my cousin does the new home clean up for a living and I have hired her to help me. She has all of these neat little tools and tricks to make sure that every nook and cranny is spotless when the cleaning is done.

What plans do you all have for tonight? Mr. B and I don't really celebrate it , we make it special for the kids instead because we both feel that Valentines Day is highly over rated and that we can show love and affection to each other any of the other 364 days of the year. All we will probably do is go out for a nice lunch and maybe buy each other a card. He never buys me flowers because I will just kill them with my black thumb and he knows not to ever bring home or send me roses because the smell of them remind of funerals, they are beautiful but the smell brings back to many sad memories. I am not big on getting flowers anyways, I prefer him to tell me or show me how he feels instead of buying flowers. In my opinion, the flowers will just wither away but his words and actions will be burned in my mind and heart forever. It has taken Mr. B several years to be comfortable with not buying me flowers and chocolates on Valentines or my birthday. Now let me get something straight before I go any farther , if he wants to buy me chocolates I will be more than happy to accept those and he knows this.

I hope each and every one of you have a beautiful day!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

frustration and many apologies.....

Hey all ! Oh my , I miss y'all so much!

Some of you have comments from me and some of you don't. For those of you that don't have a comment from me please don't be offended because I waited for at least ten minutes for the comment box to load and still it wasn't even half way there. If any of you want , I do better with email right now.

I have to call the phone company back and find out what is wrong with my connection because when I sign on I am getting a speed of 26.4Kbps , no more no less and I should be getting at least 52 but something isn't right somewhere.

I have so many new pics of the house that I want to show you all but there is no telling at how long it would take for them to upload on here so I will wait until I have more time and try it .

My roofer finished my shingles today and the roof looks great! We are now waiting on the electrician to come and do his rough in then we will go to insulation and drywall.

One day this week I need to find the time to use my back up cd to put all of my pics back on my computer . I can't remember if I mentioned it or not but Friday night I had to uninstall Windows then reinstall so now I have several back up cds and I need to get those things back on here . It took me over three hours just to get Yahoo Messenger downloaded. It took almost that long to get my antivirus and updates back on .

Anyways, that is all that is going on in my world. I hope all of you are okay?

Oh yeah, Dan I read your post about what your family has gone through in the last three months and about tomorrow being your moms birthday and I want to tell you that my prayers are with you all and hugs to you! I hope your wonderful mother has the best birthday ever!

Y'all be safe and take care!

checking in....

Have I told y'all lately how much I miss each and every one of you ? Well please know that I do. Now that I have an internet connection (insert gagging noises here) I will be on some. Something still isn't right with my connection and I am hoping to get that fixed ASAP. It may be slow but at least I am online. I need to find out why I am connecting at such a slow speed when I should be connecting with around 30Kbps more than I am now.

Okay , I am not going to dwell on my connection no matter how bad I want to.....

I now have an almost completed roof, all they like are the ridge caps and I will have a beautiful shingled roof. I also have bathtubs , commode and sink hook ups . The plumbing rough-in has been completed and we should see the electrician this up coming week.

This morning as we were settling in our Sunday school class our Pastor came in to tell us that a grandson of one of our members had been killed this morning in a car accident. Once he told us the name of the grandson I couldn't believe it . I knew him . My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and I hope they find peace during their loss.

Our church just buried an elderly man that had been a member for years yesterday. He had bone cancer. He prayed that he would pass away while sleeping peacefully and God answered that prayer Thursday . I would like to ask those of you that pray to keep both of these families in your prayers.

I am going to sign off now. I have a promise to fullfill in a an hour or so. I promised my sister and my daughter that I would make the broccoli cheddar chicken casserole that they all love for supper. Since we have to go back to church early for youth choir practice I am going to prepare it so that when we get out of church I can just bake it.

Y'all have a wonderful day! Be safe and take care!

internet connection...

I finally have a connection. First of all let me say that I HATE dial-up. I don't know how I ever lived without DSL. In the area that we just moved to the DSL port is full so I have to have a dial-up connection and I am not happy about that.

I really need to be thankful that I have this connection after all the mumble jumble I had to go through to get it. I have spent about ten hours on the phone in the last two days . After four calls to my phone company , five to Gateway, much groaning and moaning , a few tears , a couple of mad moments , uninstalling then reinstalling Windows I now have a connection and a weak one at that! Needless to say , I won't be spending much time on here until we move and I can get cable hooked up and go through them for internet that doesn't go slower than a turtle. If I spend much time on here I will end up throwing my computer out this two story window beside me. Patience is not one of my virtues! However , the good thing about all this is that I now know my computer inside and out, literally.

I have a lot of downloading and tweaking to do in the next few days. Mozilla Firefox will be my first download because I do NOT use Internet Explorer . I HATE IE that bad.

I feel like such a spoiled brat over this DSL and dial-up thing. For the past two years I have had DSL and I didn't have to wait on anything to load , it was there as soon as I clicked the mouse but with dial-up it takes a while.

Anyways, I have missed all of you so much and I can't wait to move into my new house so that I can get cable and get decent connection.

I am going to get in bed now because my eyes are drooping as I type. Y'all have a good weekend , be safe and take care ! :)

Wednesday, February 07, 2007

hey , hey , hey...

I am at the library again I thought I would post real quick.

When I drove by my new house a few minutes ago I noticed two huge white things out in the yard. I also notcied a truck there and I thought "Yay, the roofer is back to complete my shingles" well as I was getting closer it dawned on me what the two huge white things were, my bathtubs! Oh yay, the plumber! I haven't taken anymore pics of the house because it has been sitting there with no one working on it until now so I guess I am going to have to get over there with my camera.

We are finally moved ....woohoo let's party!!!LOL! Yesterday I went over there to clean up and we done the walk through with our landlord, she was very impressed at how clean the house was, she was also impressed that nothing was torn up , no holes in the wall and all that so we get our damage deposit back. I have been taking it easy today since I have been going like crazy for the past few weeks.

Our phone company will be out between 8am and 12pm to hook us up tomorrow so I will once again have internet. Even though I have only used the libraries service twice I am very excited about my own getting re-connected. I don't know what I would have done if it hadn't been for the library..can you tell I am addicted to y'all?

Okay , I really need to go , I am going to try to get a lunch date with Mr. Breazy.Y'all have a good one , be safe and take care and I will be back tomorrow!

Monday, February 05, 2007

here for now....

Good Monday to ya! I am at the library using their internet because our phone company called this morning to inform me that they won't get out to hook up our separate line until Thursday morning. My moms computer is now in the shop getting worked on because of a virus or something.

We are all moved in and trying to get settled. I can't wait for two months to go by so that we can move into our new home.

Anyways, I need to go . I just wanted to post an update.

Y'all have a good day , be safe and take care!

oh yeah , before I go there is one little thing I have to mention...
YAY COLTS!!! Woohoo! 29-17 get you some!

Friday, February 02, 2007

bye for now...

Hey all ! I wanted to stop by before I unhook this thing. I am not actually unhooking it until morning but I wanted to post one more time before I do..lol! This is our last night in this house. It looks so big and empty right now with all of our stuff out. We still have the sofa, recliner, tv , grandfather clock, two lamps , some clothes and the things in the bathroom and of course my computer or as I like to call it " my window to other friends".

This move is really weird for me. I am not real enthusiastic about moving back to my parents home , not because I feel we won't get along, we will , we always have so much fun with my parents but more it is the thing about having your own place then moving back home.. does that make sense? I am trying to keep in mind that this will take us one more step closer to our last move. We went over to have supper with my parents tonight and we had a blast with them. They are so much fun to be around, I have really missed that playful , fun side of them in the past couple of years. What is funny is we had to go over and eat with them tonight because I packed everything up in the kitchen today and it is now in storage so I had nothing to cook in or nothing to cook because we took all of our food to my moms earlier. I could have served tv dinners but I am not big on serving my kids things that are nuked. Speaking of, we have to take the microwave to storage tomorrow.

I didn't realize how many dishes, utensils , cookware and gadgets I had in the kitchen. I think there are more boxes from the kitchen than any other room in the house! There were two things I did not put in storage from the kitchen that I just can't seem to part with even if it is for a short time , my two favorite baking stones from Pampered Chef. They will go to my moms with me. My husband thinks it is funny how I am obsessed with anything that is used in a kitchen because I use every thing that I have. He says that most people who are obsessed with things like that only have a few favorite pieces then they forget about the rest , not me. If I buy it I use it! I was shopping with a good friend a couple of weeks ago and we went into a shop that was all kitchen things and I got all a flutter over a big casserole dish...mmmmm I love casserole dishes and I love them in all colors, shapes and sizes. I am not one of these women that would get offended if my husband were to buy me something for the kitchen for birthday or Christmas.

Tomorrow at church we are having a benefit dinner and singing for a mom and daughter that are members in our church . They were in a very bad car accident on Christmas day and the daughter has been fired from her job and the mom won't be back to work for months. I had thought at first that we wouldn't be able to stay long at the benefit but we got things moved a lot faster than we thought. For those of you that pray just keep this family in your prayers.

The phone company told me it would be Monday , Tuesday or Thursday before they can hook up a separate line at my parents house for our phone. Mr. Breazy didn't want to give up our home number so we are having it transfered. I won't have DSL over there because the port is full... grrrrr! So I am going to have to go back to dial-up until who knows when. Maybe if I call and complain they will put in another port or whatever they need to do.

Alright , I need to get in bed and get some rest because we are starting early in the morning so we will be done in time to attend the benefit. Y'all have a good weekend , be safe and take care!

*if I want to get on before the phone company has our line hooked up I can use my moms computer , so you may see me Monday*

Oh yeah, before I go there is one more thing I wanted to say....

GO COLTS!!!!

Friday.....

Good morning all! I am posting a bit later than normal today because I slept in. I have been fighting off a cold for several days now and I kept thinking that it was my sinuses again but last night after going to bed I started coughing. Medicine didn't help so I was awake most of the night and this morning when I woke up I am all achy and blah so I am moving a bit slower than normal today.

I don't have any updated pics of the house today because no one worked over there yesterday due to the weather and I doubt they will be there today because it is raining.

We are almost done with moving. We have the things out of the kitchen to take to storage today then everything else left goes to my parents with us. I am so glad that when we move to the new house it will be our last move. I am so over moving and I am wondering just how does your kids accumulate so much crap. They only have about a fourth of all that stuff now, since I taught them how to not be afraid of the garbage. Of course a lot of it is going to our local rescue ministry for the homeless.

Later tonight I will be unhooking my computer..*sniffle*....to get it ready to go to my moms tomorrow..*sniffle*. I should be up and running again by Monday, that i what I am hoping for anyways.

Tonight is our last night in this house. I am going to miss it but I am not going to miss throwing my money away each month when we pay the rent. That is one thing I am really looking forward to, knowing each month when I put that check in the mail that we are paying for something that is ours.

That is about all that I have for today. I am hoping to have some time to play on here later since we don't have that much more to do. So I may be stopping by your place later but if not then I will be there sometime Monday!

Y'all have a good day, be safe and take care!

HNT...or not!

Good Thursday morning ! I didn't take a pic for hnt because I was so busy yesterday and this morning . During my break I thought I would show you all what it is doing outside. It started snowing a short time ago and it is supposed to snow and sleet until after midnight tonight. I ask for it , I got it!

This pic was taken out my back door just minutes ago. I can't believe we are actually seeing it stick.

This pic was taken out my front door. Schools here were closed around 6PM last night so the kids are here with us today. My son wants to go outside and play but he will have to wait on that for now.

The first pic is just showing that I now have steps into the front door. The siding guys are almost done and I would say they finished before dark.

This pic is just showing a side angle and for some reason my shutters look black in the photos , they are actually called winestone which is a very dark burgundy color.

They got the house completely sided and as you can see I have a small back porch or as I call it a "stoop" with steps. This porch will actually be bigger once we have the pool installed. The deck will come off of this porch and go straight to the pool.

We are almost done with our move to my parents house . Our last night here will be tomorrow night. I am really going to miss this house , not the rent payment or the area but the house. We have made a lot of good memories in this house and had more than one turning point while living here. Once we get all moved our landlord has hired my husband to come in sand and re-finish the hardwood flooring. Once that is done we will be done here. I am just keeping in mind that the last move we will make will be to our new house.

While I was over looking at the house it really hit me that we are actually doing something that we have planned and saved for , for almost 14 years. That is something huge for me to take in. I guess that is why the whole thing doesn't seem real to me , it is hard to explain. I know the home is ours but every time I go over there it is just too good to be true. 14 years is a long time to wait but I am sure that once we move in it will most definitely feel like ours. If not then it surely will when the first mortgage payment comes due!LOL!

Sorry there were no pics of me today. Maybe next week! Y'all have a good day, be safe, and take care!

Long time blah blah...

It has certainly been a while since I've been here. Sometimes I think about deleting this blog and being done but I also think I am goin...
