another beautiful day

It has been so beautiful here lately. The temps have been hitting the mid 70's for a high and mid 50's for a low, who could ask for better? Yesterday morning I noticed the yellow pollen on the windshield of my mini-van when I took the kids to school and for me that is the only down side to warm weather but hey, I can live with it so long as we have these beautiful sunny days. Today we are supposed to see a high of 78 and tomorrow about the same however, tomorrow we have severe thunderstorms coming then after the storms sweep through a cold front is on the way. Our high for Sunday is predicted at 49 then Monday's high is predicted for 48. I am glad I haven't planted my flowers yet.

Not only has it been a beautiful week but it has been a busy week. My two youngest are taking TCAPs this week so they are going to bed earlier, Mr. B is playing softball this year, he played two games Monday night and one game Tuesday night, he will play another game tonight but we can't attend because it will be too late. My oldest child, Chesney, is in Theater at school and they have a huge play coming up at the first of May. They are doing The Sound of Music and I volunteered to create the progams that will be handed out to everyone, Chesney is taking care of the spotlight for the show. Today I have to go down to the high school and take pics of some of the cast and get their bio's so I can start setting those up on the computer. Last night we also had our quarterly business meeting at church and I hold four accounts there so I had to go over everything in each account yesterday to make sure all was as it should be then I had to write my report.

Last week I made a deal with my two youngest kids, if they went to bed an hour earlier every night and got out of bed without a problem every morning then on Friday I would take them to breakfast before school at the place of their choice, needless to say come tomorrow morning I have to make good on my end of the deal. I always make the kids go to bed an hour earlier during TCAP week because I remember how those tests use to wear me out as a child. Yesterday when my son got home from school you could see how tired he was so when we got to church I asked Mr. B to leave early so he could bring Ty home and put him in bed, Mr B said that Ty was asleep before his head hit the pillow.

I have been craving roasted veggies lately so I think I am going to make some for supper tonight. I honestly think I could eat yellow squash every single day and not get tired of it, I love the stuff! Last night I made General Tso's chicken and served it on a bed of 100% whole wheat rice, it was really good. I watch the Food Network all the time to get new ideas for food and yesterday I watched Tyler Florence make the best looking spaghetti and meat balls I have ever seen, I am definitely going to have to try it. The meat balls were huge and mmmm they looked delicious, they were so big that one would be enough to serve on top of my plate of spaghetti. I get sick of the same old, same old in the kitchen and I am always looking for new ideas and Food Network channel really helps me out a lot. I have the website bookmarked on my computer if I am ever at a loss about what to prepare for our evening meal.

Okay, enough about food, I have to get off of here and get busy. Did I mention that amid everything else we have been doing this week I have also had a spring cleaning bug going on? I am cleaning one room at a time and that way I can get all that I want done in that space. Normally when I clean house I bounce from one area to the next in a chaotic cleaning mess but it all comes together for me in the end, right now I don't have time to do that so I will go about one room at a time until it is complete.

Y'all have a beautiful day, take care and God Bless!

Long time blah blah...

It has certainly been a while since I've been here. Sometimes I think about deleting this blog and being done but I also think I am goin...
