whew ! I am glad that is done ..

Even though it is late by one night , here is the promised report on the Christmas play that I was in .

The play was scheduled for 7:00pm last night but the cast had to be there by 5:30 to run through our lines and songs one more time . Three others and I are the only ones that had to sing a solo , I however was the only one who had to do my solo a capella . I wasn't worried about my lines , those I had down to a tee but I was very nervous over singing a solo and doing it a capella . I was really nervous as the church pews started filling up with folks and then I got more nervous when my brother , his wife , my father-in-law, my step-mother-in-law , my brother-in-law and my sister-in-law walked in . We were not expecting them to come but come they did . It came time to start the show and everyone done so great then came my time to sing What Child Is This . I was really nervous as I sat there with the mic raised to my mouth and then I started singing . I think the only thing that got me through it was a lady that I attend church with was sitting on the second pew in front of where I was on the stage and she started praising God . That gave me courage to go on because if it was moving to her then maybe it wasn't that bad . After wards everyone was so surprised to learn that I could sing and they all told me what a wonderful job I had done . I still wonder if they could hear my heart beating through my voice because if hearts had wings , mine would have surely flown right out of my chest .

During service this morning I had about 13 requests to sing that song again . Some of those requests came from people who had been at the play and the others came from people who had heard from the people at the play that I could sing . I was not as nervous this morning as I sang because I knew everybody there . Anyways , the whole play went better than any of us had planned and I am glad that it is over and I don't have to face that type of nervousness again . I hope everyone has had a good weekend . We are expecting a bit of snow here and I am hoping that we get it plus some ..hehe . I can't help it but I love snow ! Y'all have a good evening and I will talk to you tomorrow !
