The capital is the city of the same name Corozal Town. 
The district covers an area of 1860 km² and is inhabited by 41,061 people. 
Although the island of Ambergris Caye is located off the coast of Corozal, it belongs to the Belize District.

Cayo is a district of Belize, located in the west of the country on the border with Guatemala. 
The district is home to the national capital Belmopan, but the district's capital is San Ignacio, which with about 26,000 inhabitants is also significantly larger than Belmopan.

With 12,300 inhabitants, the city is one of the smallest capitals in the world. Belmopan is located at an altitude of 76 meters above sea level, just east of the Belize River, eighty kilometers from the former capital, Belize City.

Benque Viejo del Carmen - Belize

Benque Viejo del Carmen is Belize's westernmost city, 130 km by road west and south of Belize City, on the Guatemalan border.
San Ignacio is 13 km to the east and Melchor de Mencos just across the border.
The Mopan River runs along the north and west edges of the city.

Big Creek - Belize

Big Creek or Cala Grande is a seaport facility in Belize.
Big Creek is a deep-water port on the Caribbean Sea in the Toledo district of Belize, built in the 1990s.
It is the second most important port in the country, after Belize City.
