Mondays are for Memories...Baseball

Sugar Pie and Bullet at the Ball Park with McDaddy

Pearson listening to the instructions before participating in her game of musical chairs.
This is serious business!

Normally, we cannot get anywhere near Kaboom because the twins are afraid of him, but this time they got this great picture with the mascot!

Here is Bullet listening to the instructions for her game which involved running and turning in circles. She won her game in a photo finish!

All in all the girls and Dad had  a wonderful time at the game!

Frugal Fun ....Take me out to the ball game....

As we seek to grow closer as family we want to make wonderful family memories together.
Trying on the hat!
Well, we finally made it to a baseball game and what good time we had! The girls received 2 baseball hats with their tickets. At these games they set up lots of games for the kids to participate in and the kids normally win. That made it really fun and encouraging for our children.College League team this summer!

Yes, Bullet knocked over all the blocks! That's my girl!
The babies even sat happily and watched the game and the people. Now as for the mascot....geesh....they could of done without him all together Other then the mascot we have definitely found something fun & inexpensive to do as a family during the summer and there will be more trips to see our local College League team!
Enjoying the game

Reasons to check out your local College League baseball team:
  1. This baseball league allows kids in for free on Saturdays and gives them a hot dog meal or a hat. Plus they give them some tickets to jump on the inflatables.
  2. Lots of affordable frugal theme nights (Sundae Funday, $2 Tuesday, Monday feast .50 hot dogs, Kids Free Saturday our favorite, family Fridays etc....)
  3.  Lots of games for the kids to play and they feel like they are part of the game.
I hope you are making lots of memories with your families too!

Mondays are for Memories....Chick-fil-a Cow Appreciation Day

The big girls and Ms. Brittany making the cow shirts. We used two of Wayne's older undershirts, bought a 3 pack of boys undershirts for $5 at Wal-Mart, I had a white onesie and little boys undershirt. We had most of the paint but ended up buying a little bit more at Wal-Mart. All I did was  take a black fabric pen and draw random cow spots on the shirts. Then we painted the shirts with permanent black paint. The girls are ages 6-14 (Not counting Ms Brittany who is an adult).

Here is Bullet and you can still see the unpainted cow spots. They had so much fun painting these shirts. Next, year we are going to make headbands for ears and add cow tails to the outfits!

Here are the shirts hanging on the clothes line to dry. From this picture it looks like these shirts were painted by a team of adult perfectionists. Nope, you just cant see the precious little finger prints and smudges!

Here we all are at Chick-Fil-A in the front is Ms.Bethany who hung out with us all day as we ran errands, went to a homeschool conference.

Much to our great delight one of our sister churches (our original church started 2 new churches) was also there in force and we all sat together fellowshipping and catching up on each other's lives.

Then our Small Group from Church showed up (You'll see Ms. Brittany in the front behind Sugarpie) to eat with us!

Now we are washing and putting the cow shirts up for next year and will as I said earlier add cow ears, tails and maybe even udders next year and we may need to make new shirts for the twins and any new Roosterhillians.

This is a wonderful way to make memories as a family from painting the shirts to fellowshipping with friends this was a big winner! We'll see you next year at Chick-Fil-A!

Please vote for us a free Chick-fil-A gift card and party at Chick Fil A Cow Appreciation Site. The picture isn't very good the gal that took them didn't focus the lens. :( But don't worry you are voting for the family not the picture!
