O Maria!

The latest art exhibition in town featured a famous artist whose name was familiar to Maria.

He had been her classmate in junior school!

Then, he was transferred elsewhere.

Later, Maria found him featured in the media.

She started following his work.

She always felt proud of his achievements.

Craft Reflects The Craft

Sita was excited when the National Sculpture Competition was announced.

For the past year, she had been devotedly working on an idol of God though some remarked- "You being a female, how and why are you in this man’s trade?”

People mocked and questioned her- “How can you even dream of your art getting selected or expect winning?"

The Real Art And The Artist

The view was very beautiful.

The artist in Lizy was ecstatic.

Lizy had to express it on her canvas.

That Girl In The Portrait

She was visiting the fair when she saw some paintings.

The biggest one was a true-to-life painting of a beautiful girl.

Despite wearing sunglasses, she instantly identified that girl in the portrait.

She knew the artist too.

The Real Artist

It was a normal date.

This was their third meeting.

He had invited her home for a meal.

They had met at a cafĂ© earlier.

This time was special.

He showed her his art- both paintings and cooking!

The man could paint and cook!

She liked him.

Lockdown Doll

She had made several rounds of the departmental stores during the lockdown.

Her frequent visits did not ensure availability of what she wanted.

The products were always out of stock.

Along with other pandemic essentials, everyone seemed to be obsessed with toilet-paper rolls & tissue-paper!

Some people wanted to buy cart-loads of these!

She decided to highlight this issue.

Climate Action

She was staring blankly.
The lake was dry.
There was not a drop of water anywhere.
She realized that her town was in deep climate crisis.
She felt responsible, but just didn't know what to do next.

That's when he came and stood by her side.
He saw what she saw.
He could see fear in her face.
“No worries! I'm here!"

The Master Artist

“Hello,” said the voice on the phone. “My name is  Peter Taichovhaz. I know you never expected a call from me, as famous as I am, but I’ve been given your name as someone who can help me.”

Peter Taichovhaz was an internationally-famous artist, who had won many awards.
Regaining her composure, Anna replied, "Great privilege to receive your call, Mr.Taichovhaz. How can I help you?"

"Can you come over to my office today at 5 PM ?"

"Sure. I'll be there!"

Anna, a young student artist, had been striving for a couple of months to ensure that Peter Taichovhaz noticed her work. She had sincerely submitted two of her creations for the Annual Art Awards competition just because he was the judge! Her efforts had borne fruit!

Anna found herself at the Peter Taichovhaz office where she found two of her art-works displayed on the elegant wooden-table in the centre.

One was her sculpture of the buried chairs that she had titled 'CONFUSION'.

The Artist

The kite fell on the ground.
She said, "Wish it had strong wings!"
The Kite Fell On The Ground
"I can make that happen!" said a voice behind.
She turned to see a beautiful girl.

"Who are you?"
"I'm Arachne, an artist!"
The artist wove fine wings on the kite.
A gust of wind made the kite fly again!

She found that the artist had disappeared!
So had the kite!

Incredible Intelligence

As though the taunts and poor understanding of the onlookers wasn’t enough, the ‘artist’s block’ also contributed to irritate the artist.
That instant she decided to create her masterpiece. She was clear that it would be a work of art that would inspire all. Her innovation would reveal the insight to dare to bare and present simplicity and truth that’s so rare.

Like A Dream

She had built a home for them by the sea-beach, just as he had promised her when he had proposed marriage.

As the youngest CEO of an MNC, he was too busy traveling on official visits to even think of any family-related matters.

She shifted to their dream-home.

Months passed.

My Starry Sky

Indian Bloggers

They accused & taunted me,
They killed me every moment…
Yet I was alive as I lived in fantasy,
Offering my two cents' worth to torment.

That day when they crossed every limit,
I decided to leave their world unfair…
I followed my own compass with grit,
Till I reached a place beyond compare…
