I was inspired by Sci-Fi movies like 2001: A Space Odyssey when designing this font and envision it being used on LED displays similar to those used in alarm clocks or some other quasi-futuristic application. The letter forms exist within a 5x5 grid and I therefore decided to resolve issues of leading and kerning on LED displays by making it a monospaced typeface.
