A New Chapter

Have you ever been so disappointed . . . so depressed . . . so out of sorts that you have done something that you should immediately regret?

Did you regret it? What if once it is done . . . you can't go backwards and you can't stop what you've put in motion. What if you don't want to.

Or how about, have you ever had two of your closest friends share news with you that should make you proud, happy and joyous . . . yet all you want to do is cry . . . vomit . . . run away. Because your life is turning into a nightmare you can't get out of . . .

Did you ever just want to get away from everything? Pull the blinds and hide for days?

Did you ever think of sacrificing everything for a moment of peace, silence and calm?

Me neither . . . ya . . . me neither right?

I'm still here sweetie if you want to talk.

And I think everything happens for a reason. You may not have wanted whatever it was to happen, and you might even immediately regret it....but for some reason, it was meant to happen. And you most probably will not know why until months or years later.

You have been through a very traumatic year. It will take a while (and how long depends on you as you will advance at your own pace) to get back to whatever normal is (for you).

Yes, of course. I got very good at running, my coping mechanism. Whether is was running across the country or running to a place inside myself that nobody could touch.

And no. I didn't -in the long term, anyway- regret anything I did... you are right where you should be, regardless of the circs. Do what you have to, but remember that you are where you need to be.

Sorry things have been so rough for you lately. Eventually, the light at the end of the tunnel will truly be the end of the tunnel, and not just another train coming at you. Just praying, for yours and your family's sake, that you'll be able to safely navigate through the hard times.

My house is always open to you. And there have been times I walked out of the house, had to sit down and not move... because I'm not sure I would have come back home. Before kids and after.

I am so living that life right now. My life is filled to the top with what if's, I am living in a world of regret right now and blame everything that is happening on that one moment of stupidity 3 years ago.

If I was allowed to drink more then one drink a week I would so be an alcoholic right now.
