Mr. Harris, of Maryland, takes the oath — death of Mr. Corwin.

Washington, December 18.
--Notwithstanding the unnecessary and silly speculations about Mr. Harris, of Maryland, and the test oath, he took it to-day in the House of Representatives, as he did two years ago. He was always a strong friend of the South, but did nothing against this Government.

The House Committee on the Judiciary have agreed to report the form of a constitutional amendment against the payment of the Confederate debt.

Ex-Governor Corwin died this afternoon.
