North Carolina.

--The Raleigh North Carolina Progress of Monday says:

‘ We hear of no demonstration along the North Carolina coast. A gentleman in this city has received a letter from a prominent citizen of Martin county, which states that our forces have fallen back down Plymouth to Rainbow bend, on the river. The same letter states that Plymouth was entirely destroyed by fire during the bombardment or after the evacuation. Washington, we think, has certainly been evacuated by our troops and occupied by the enemy, but we have no apprehensions of anything in the shape of a formidable advance, as the force of the enemy is not equal to such a tack.
