--The hen-house on Captain a promises, in the suburbs of the city, was fore-day entered on Tuesday night and robbed of between sixty and seventy fowls of different classes and quality. Yesterday, a free negro named Major Williams, was arrested by Constable E. W. Robinson and carried before Justice Lipscomb, who, open investigation of the matter, ordered him to receive thirty-nine lashes, pay the costs, of prosecution and then be set to work in the riches.
