--Saturday night, while a gentleman was purchasing a ticket of admission to the theatre, some adroit thief among the crowd which was standing around, stole from his vest pocket a superior gold watch and chain. The button-hole of his vest, to which the hook of the chain was attached, was nicely cut in two, as if it had been done with a sharp instrument.
