Battle expected in East Tennessee.

--On Friday last a cavalry skirmish took place below Morristown, resulting in our forces driving back the enemy. A force of the enemy's cavalry appeared at Whitesburg, 29 miles below Greenville on Saturday. It is said that our forces pitched into them yesterday and drove them back. In this skirmish we are reported to have lost eight killed. It is believed that a general engagement will be had this week, provided the enemy do not ran again.-- Bristol Gazette, 17th inst.
