Yankee Vandalism.

We gave several days ago some deeply interesting statements of the outrages of the enemy in Missouri, Arkansas, and Mississippi. In addition to those statements we have certified copies of two original letters from Gen. Herron, the Yankee commander at Perle Grove, Ark, to Capt. M. D. Bert an Arkansas " jay-hawker," directing him to take no prisoners and to burn a town. The following is the first letter:

Headquarters 20 and 3d Divisions.
army of the Frontier, Dec, 17, 1862.

Captain:I have sent Lieut. Willemite and 75 men white river to help you clear that section of band. You and he will join forest and work together. Don't take any of them prisoners. They have on my mail carriers at Mudtown, and when up there you had better barn that place. If you can get ingrain alive send him to me.

Captain Hall

The second letter is three days later, and directs "if possible, to completely destroy" the "lands infesting that country." "Don't show any away to bush whickers" says he. There letters are directly from an official source in Arkansas. The originals were found on Capt. Hart's person when captured. And he was forthwith charged by captors.
