Smith O'Brien on "Mediation."

--Wm. Smith O'Brien publishes, in the Cork (Ireland) Examiner, a letter addressed to Richard O'Gorman, of New York, suggesting to him that, inasmuch as Secession a now an accomplished fact, whether it is not advisable, with a view to the restoration of peace, to organize in New York a ‘"Mediators Committee,"’ and to call a man meeting there in favor of advocating an amicable adjustment of terms, the independence of the C. S. A. to be a sine que non.
